NIGHT REFLECTION

Message 84 to Fr. Gobbi is titled, 'Your Silence.'

Our Lady starts off by telling Fr. Gobbi that She has told him many times that he will have sufferings and misunderstandings regarding the Marian Movement of Priests but never obstacles! Her Angels have begun bringing Her priest-sons together from all over the world. A spiritual gathering! And She is so happy when they respond with a yes; Her Heart leaps for joy!

Our Lady only asks for the complete offering of those called, with all their limitations, weaknesses and inabilities. This is part of Her plan. The Movement is to be spread in silence and hiddenness, there is to be no formal structure, just trust, abandonment, prayer and silence.

Let it be an interior silence, so as to hear the voice of the Mother, who speaks within. She will speak softly to each childlike heart about the Gospel of Jesus, Her divine Son. Then there will be only hunger and thirst for His words; all will be formed in the school of the word of God!

Let it be also an exterior silence, let it be Mother Mary who will speak. But She needs silence, which is difficult for many. Some think that it is necessary to write, to act for the Movement. Not so, Our Lady says, the plan which has been outlined by Her Immaculate Heart calls for silence!

Instead, speak with our lives. Let our life proclaim the word. This reminds me of a quote from St. Francis of Assisi, "Preach the Holy Gospel, sometimes using words." By living the Gospel we do preach the word! And Our Lady says that She will speak in you and through you; then those who hear you will understand and the words will be received into their hearts!

The devil uses the spoken word to deceive all humanity, so Mother Mary is asking for silence as the weapon to oppose him. Thus the Holy Spirit will speak in you and use you to renew the whole world for the triumph and glory of Almighty God. Amen!
