[MaryVitamin] Holy Rosary

Mary Vitamin for April 7th
Topic: The Holy Rosary

Quote:
"To clasp our beads is like clasping Our Lady's hand."
Father Stefano Manelli, FI, Devotion to Our Lady,(Academy of the Immaculate),  140

Meditation:
Leo XIII
"We will crown our work by yet a new document, in which Our earnest desire and zeal for this form of devotion to Mary may appear still more clearly, and the fervour of the faithful may be stimulated to the devout and constant use of this pious practice."
Pope Leo XIII, On the Rosary (Diuruni Temporis) #2
Promulagated September 5, 1898

St. Louis de Montfort
"I should like to give you even more reason for embracing this devotion which so many great souls have practiced; the Rosary recited with meditation on the mysteries brings about the following marvelous results:
  1. it gradually gives us a perfect knowledge of Jesus Christ;
  2. it purifies our souls, washing away sin;
  3. it gives us victory over all our enemies;
  4. it makes it easy for us to practice virtue;
  5. it sets us on fire with love of Our Blessed Lord;
  6. it enriches us with graces and merits;
  7. it supplies us with what is needed to pay all our debts to God and to our fellow men, and finally, it obtains all kinds of graces for us from Almighty God."
St. Louis de Montfort, The Secret of the Rosary, 27th rose (65).

Resolution:
Today I will be encouraged by the Pope's words to pray the Rosary. I will think of clasping my beads as though I'm clasping Our Lady's hand.

Marian Vow:
"Any place is good for saying the Rosary; but the ideal place is before the tabernacle or before Our Lady's altar. One should not forget about the plenary Indulgence he may gain when he says the Rosary in church or with his family or in a group, provided one goes to Confession and holy Communion."
Father Stefano Manelli, FI, Devotion to Our Lady,(Academy of the Immaculate) 141.

I give this resolution to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Thanks be to God for graces received.
