Padre Pio Newsletter (April 2008)

Dear Friend of Padre Pio,

Issue #35 of the "Pray, Hope, and Don't Worry" quarterly Padre Pio publication is now available on the Padre Pio Devotions website at this link:

http://www.padrepiodevotions.org/index.asp?pagename=newsletter

After opening Issue #35, and reading the newsletter, be sure to click on the small icon at the top of the page which says "download Newsletter" in order to read and/or print out a copy of issue # 35 in newsletter format(four 8 ½ x 11 inch pages), complete with photographs.

This issue of our newsletter features interviews that we conducted with three individuals who have had unique and interesting experiences with Padre Pio.

The first story concerns Father James DeVita and his memories of Padre Pio. Several people sent us letters telling us that Fr. DeVita had known Padre Pio in the early days. We had a little difficulty locating Fr. DeVita but we were finally able to contact him. We were under the impression he was in New York but we learned that he is currently living in Florida. He was very happy to speak to us about Padre Pio and what it was like  growing up in San Giovanni Rotondo.

We met Ellie Hunt when we traveled to the canonization of Padre Pio in Rome in 2002. She was one of the pilgrims we met on the tour. We have remained friends with Ellie ever since. Her story of Padre Pio is fascinating.

While interviewing some of Padre Pio's spiritual children in New York, we were told about Pasquale D'Andrea. He lives in nearby Bayside, New York. His memories stretch back to the early days with his family in Padre Pio's hometown of Pietrelcina.

New website features
The left side menu bar now gives easier access to audio recordings of Padre Pio prayers and blessings. (Of course, Padre Pio is speaking Italian!)

God Bless You,
