Mary, Ark of the New Covenant

It was so dark and rainy this morning at 7:30 as I drove to Mass. First time that's happened since last year, I guess. I remembered that here in Florida, when it rains, we have to turn on the headlights. Funny thing is that this car is new to me and I had trouble finding the light switch. I'm used to the old Blazer which had one of those electronic turn-on-lights-when-dark gadgets. I practically never turned the headlights on when I drove that car. But now its gone to car heaven and I have to get used to my new (2005) Hundai Santa Fe! I know that Santa means saint but what does Fe mean? Faith? Wow! I just googled the question and here is the answer: The full name for Santa Fe is "La Villa Real de Santa Fe de St. Francisco de Assis" which means "the royal city of the holy faith of St. Francis of Assisi."

Thank You Jesus & Mary, Saint Francis, and the Archangels Michael, Gabriel & Raphael, on whose Feast Day (Sept.29), I bought the car and asked their assistance and intercession!

Getting back to this morning, we had our MMP Prayer Cenacle after Mass, attended by 5 of us. The reading from the Blue Book was about Our Lady as the "New Ark of the Covenant." We should entrust ourselves to her Immaculate Heart and have nothing to fear about the future, even if there is a chastisement for the sins of the world! Our Lady's Heart will be our safe refuge!

One of my favorite prayers that I say each day comes from the children of Fatima:
My God, I love You in thanksgiving for the graces You have granted to me. O my Jesus, I love You! Sweet Heart of Mary, be my salvation!

Blessings+
