Mary Vitamin for April 2nd
Topic: Fifth Dolor; the Crucifixion

Quote:
"But what did it avail thee, O Lady," says Saint Bonaventure, "to go to Calvary and see this son expire?"
St. Alphonsus di Liguori, The Glories of Mary, (Tan Books: 1978), 494.

Meditation:
St. Bonventure:
"Ah, thy heart did not then think of its own sorrows, but of the sufferings and death of thy dear Son, and therefore thou wouldst thyself be present, at least to compassionate Him."
St. Alphonsus di Liguori, The Glories of Mary, (Tan Books:1978), 494.

Resolution:
When I stop to listen and to pay attention to the sufferings and complaints of others, I imitate the Blessed Virgin Mary in Her compassion. I will think of this today to help me to patiently listen.

Marian Vow:
"In the apostolate let there always reign harmony among the members of every M.I.M. Cenacle So, too, let harmony and charity always be safeguarded with other ecclesiastical groups, whether parochial or diocesan, regional or national, and let the tertiaries be a leaven of peace and fraternal charity everywhere among all men."
Marian Seraphic Pathways, Constitutions, #56.
I give this resolution to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Thanks be to God for graces received.
