[MaryVitamin] Resurrection

Mary Vitamin for April 16th

Topic: First Glorious Mystery of the Rosary, the Resurrection

Quote:
St. Peter Julian Eymard
"For whom was the first visit of the Risen Lord? Assuredly, it must have been to His Mother!"
St. Peter Julian Eymard, Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, Fifteenth Day (88-9.)

Meditation:
"What passed between them in that happy meeting? Holy Scripture does not tell us; but we can imagine the beauty of it all. What a glorious reception the Son must have received in His Mother's little room! Only through love's insight can we reconstruct that scene. Without a doubt, Jesus appeared to His Mother in all His Risen beauty. No one of the Apostles could have seen the beauty of Jesus the way Mary saw it; spiritual vision is always proportionate to the soul's sanctity. Mary penetrated even to His interior glory."
St. Peter Julian Eymard, Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, Fifteenth Day (88-9.)

Resolution:
If I have an opportunity to offer a sacrifice today or endure a trial, I will remember the great rewards given to Our Lady for Her sufferings. Trials and sacrifices don't have to be wasted time. They can bear much heavenly fruit. This meditation will help me to bear my trial with hope and maybe even joy.
Marian Vow:
"The mere act of consecration to the Immaculate, however fervent, passes and leaves an emptiness in its wake. It is the life of consecration, instead, that leads to the Immaculate: but the life must be nourished and sustained by constant formation offered to all, particularly in reunions and in meetings of the M.I.M. Cenacle."
Marian Seraphic Pathways, Sixth condition of membership in the M.I.M
Fifth Article of the Statutes, #33
I give this resolution to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Thanks be to God for graces received.
