To News about Father Fessio

On July 21, one day after Father Joseph Fessio was fired by Ave Maria University, Ave Maria University student government president Monty Montgomery made an 8-minute, 37-second YouTube response to the final dismissal

Montgomery told of the students’ debt to Fessio: “Fr. Fessio spoke with the students, studied with the students, played music with the students, shared a beer with those of age…. Ave Maria would not have been possible without Father Fessio.”

“But,” said Montgomery, “This university transcends any one man… myself, Fr. Fessio… Tom Monaghan.”
