Have a Blessed and Safe July Fourth Weekend to all!

Happy Independence Day!

July 1, 2009

Dear TMLC Friends and Supporters:

Patriotic - Valley ForgeAs we celebrate America’s birthday with friends and family this weekend, please remember to thank our nation’s defenders.  Freedom isn’t free, and it is through their sacrifices that we can celebrate this great holiday.

   Patriotic - Fallujah Hell House

From Lexington and Valley Forge at the birth of our nation, to Iraq and Afghanistan today, America’s soldiers have fought for Freedom and in defense our Nation.  The Fourth of July is a time to remember and honor the sacrifices of all our fighting men and women.

Chessani Case - Chessani Head Shot - Final

I want to take this time to remember the sacrifices made by LtCol Jeffrey Chessani, USMC, who served three tours of duty in Iraq, and is still being persecuted by the government he so loyally served.

Patriotic - Mt. Soledad Photo Strip - smallI also want to remember the sacrifices of Captain Michael Martino, USMC, and Major Gerald Bloomfield, USMC, who died in defense of their country.  The ACLU has filed a lawsuit to prevent their families from memorializing their sacrifices at the foot of the Mt. Soledad Cross, a nationally recognized veterans’ memorial.

Through our military men and women’s brave service, the Thomas More Law Center is able to protect the rights they fight for in our courts today.

Patriotic - Americans in Iwo JimaThis is a time to pray for our Country and all our fighting men and women in harms way.

Best wishes for a safe and happy holiday.

May God continue to bless America.

Sincerely yours,
