[MaryVitamin] Our Lady and the Eucharist

Mary Vitamin for July 15th

Topic: Our Lady and the Eucharist

Quote:
"The greatest joy that we can give Mary is that of bearing Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament within our breast."
Father Manelli, FI Jesus Our Eucharistic Love, (Academy of the Immaculate),  111.

Meditation:
St. Anthony Mary Claret was an apostle of Mary who sacrificed himself in every way as Archbishop of Cuba. He was particularly careful not to cause scandal. Towards the end of his life, he experienced of gift of the Eucharistic species burning within his chest. The Saint recalls the day of the greast miracle in his autobiography:

"On the 26th of August, 1861, at seven o'clock in the evening, Our Lord granted me the great grace of retaining the sacramental species.  Day and night I have the Most Holy Sacrament in my breast.  For this reason, I must always be recollected and devoted to Him Who abides so intimately within me."

Resolution:
Today I will make one spiritual Communion and I will recall the grace given to Saint Anthony Mary Claret of continually bearing the presence of Christ in the Eucharist in his heart.  This was the gift given to a great servant of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Marian Vow:
St. Anthony Mary Claret
"I will ask the Blessed Virgin for an all embracing charity and perfect union with God, a most profound humility, and the desire for contempt from others."

I give this resolution to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Thanks be to God for graces received.
