St. Francis of Assisi placed his confidence in our Blessed Lady.

He took her for his advocate, and in her honor fasted devoutly from the Feast of the Apostles Saints Peter and Paul until the festival of the Assumption.

It was in consequence of her sincere devotion towards the Blessed Virgin Mary that Clotilda obtained the conversion of Clovis, the first Christian king of France.
