Love God, Love One Another: "See With the Eyes of God" by Rita Ring, April 25, 1994

See With the Eyes of God

God's Blue Book III Cover

April 25, 1994 In front of St. James Church 6:00a.m.

Note: Birds were chirping, roosters were crowing and there was light around Our Lady.

R. "And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us." But I had reservations in my heart. I look with the eyes of disapproval on my brothers I do not even know. I size you up, my brother. I judge. I think I know why you should not be loved by me. Is this the devil, to not love someone I don't even know? How many times have I sized people up to see how truly beautiful they were. Oh, the eyes of man and the eyes of God! Do I reach with the eyes of God or am I stiff-necked and looking the other way, not even knowing why I turn my head from you, my brother? Are you old or small, or do I just look and don't like you? Are your clothes different from mine, your hair too thin, too puffy? Why did I decide you weren't my brother? Oh, Jesus, do I see at all?
