~senior executive producer, RealCatholicTV.comp.s. I had the same experience 25 years ago in my formation classes. Many times I wanted to quit because of what was being taught to us candidates. My holy spiritual director urged me to stay on. I remember him saying that what I hear will go in one ear and out the other and God will keep what is true for me to remember. But it was a struggle and the denial of our faith was everywhere. One priest told me in my face that the church would soon ordain woman priests and bishops. I said not in the Roman Catholic Church! Another priest said I was not a Catholic. I said not me, you! I was shelved to the side and really was blessed to make it to ordination.
