For second year in a row, no increase expected in Social Security payments

Fastpitch at 10:36 AM October 10, 2010

No COLA again this year. What basket of goods and services are they looking at? I don't know one family whose cost of living hasn't gone up three or more percent. Particularly senior citizens this year. Has your electric bill gone down per 1000 kwh? Your out-of-pocket medical co-pays and prescriptions? How about those college tuition and textbooks costs for your kids Dad?? Are your health insurance premiums less or more each year? Is your food bill getting any cheaper Mom? Heck no. I know many of us haven't gotten a pay raise or found a job. But their are millions of seniors, your grandpartnts , who can't work or can't find a job either. Uncle Sam, you should be ashamed that you didn't provide at least a two or three percent COLA for them. Ya, that TARP stimulus plan really did the job. November can't come soon enough! And seniors will in no uncertain terms let them know how p.o.'d they are.
