Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children; Today I call you to a humble, my children, humble devotion. Your hearts need to be just. May your crosses be your means in the battle against the sins of the present time. May your weapon be patience and boundless love - a love that knows to wait and which will make you capable of recognizing God's signs - that your life, by humble love, may show the truth to all those who seek it in the darkness of lies. My children, my apostles, help me to open the paths to my Son. Once again I call you to pray for your shepherds. Alongside them, I will triumph. Thank You." (October 2, 2010)

Today, we ask for the great gift of humility.  We see our Savior and His Mother accepting the most humble place in society just when they should have been most protected and cared for, at the moment of birth.  Just at their most vulnerable moment, Jesus, Mary and Joseph found themselves cast out of human society and consigned to a stable with the animals.  But in their great humility and trust of the Father, they accepted such accommodations.  We learn from them.  The lesson is freeing.  We need not worry about what others think of us, or how we look in the eyes of the world.  Our Father in Heaven beholds us as precious, and will provide for us.  We have only to trust.

The stable teaches us so much.  It is an image that has many facets.  Thank you, Lord, for teaching us through such a beautiful and humble image.  As Our Lady tells us, "May your weapon be patience and boundless love - a love that knows to wait and which will make you capable of recognizing God's signs - that your life, by humble love, may show the truth to all those who seek it in the darkness of lies."  The truth is that God loves us, loves us so much that He came as the lowliest of us all.  There is nothing to fear in that.  The stable is one of God's signs!

SIXTH DAY:   DECEMBER 21

O Divine Infant, Who, when excluded from Bethlehem, did inspire Your holy Mother to retire to a poor and wretched stable, in which obscure and humble place it was Your will to be born in order to confound our pride, and to teach us humility. 0 grant that henceforward, conforming ourselves to Your will, we may renounce all pomp and pride, and become truly meek and humble of heart.

Our Father... Hail Mary...Glory be...

HAIL AND BLESSED be the hour and the moment in which the Son of God was born of the Most Pure Blessed Virgin Mary at midnight in Bethlehem in the piercing cold: In that hour,  0 my God,  hear my prayer and grant my petitions, through the merits of Jesus Christ Our Lord

In Jesus and Mary!
