TAVARES — The Lake County Board of County Commissioners is seeking local pastors, preachers, fathers, rabbis and other heads of religious organizations to participate in Board meetings by opening the meeting with an invocation.

The Board meets the first, third and fourth Tuesday of each month beginning at 9 a.m. in the Commission Chambers of the Lake County Administration Building, located at 315 W. Main St. in Tavares. An invocation is given at the beginning of each Board meeting.

The opportunity for local religious leaders to give the invocation at Board of County Commission meetings is a way for Lake County to partner with religious leaders and recognize local churches and places of worship.

Every County Commission meeting is broadcast live via a webcast at www.lakecountyfl.gov, keyword: BCC agenda. Meetings are also available to view on a tape delay on LSCC-TV, channel 13 (Comcast), channel 199 (Bright House) and channel 4 (Florida Cable).

To participate in the invocation portion of a County Commission meeting, call Kathy Hartenstein at (352) 742-6583.
