Dear Family of Mary!"Dear Children! These days live all the main messages and keep rooting them in your hearts till Thursday. Thank you for having responded to my call." (November 22, 1984)Over the past few days, as I have watched the reports coming in from Japan, I have felt a certain panic, a feeling of anxiety and disbelief washing over me. The devastation is so overwhelming, the loss of life so great, that I have been in a state of shock. The earthquake and tsunami have demonstrated anew the incredible power God has placed in nature. We are humbled. Just little ants on the surface of this churning ball of hot rock. But through it all Denis and I have continued to pray our rosaries, go to Holy Mass, go to Confession, read the Scriptures and turn to God. These things have become such a foundation for our lives that we would never think to forget them. And as I think about the shock I am in, I realize that it is living Our Lady's main messages that has gotten me through it so far. Our Lady's strategy all these years has been to root the main messages in our hearts. That is why she has "repeated" herself so many times, over and over, with the same advice. Pray, pray, pray! Make Holy Mass your life! Read the Holy Scriptures and put them in a prominent place in your house! Go to Confession once a month! Pray with the heart! Pray in your families! Convert and do not wait! The Rosary alone can do miracles! Live love! Fast on Wednesday and Friday! Peace, peace, peace, and only peace. Put God in the first place in your life!
These words are carved into our hearts and souls because Our Mother has said them to us so often and with such powerful love. These are the "habits" that will sustain us through even the worst difficulties. This is the way of life that will keep us on the path towards heaven. Nothing will be able to wash us away, if we are living her messages. They are like a life boat for our souls!Denis told me today that he believes we should focus more and more on Our Lady's messages in all we do. He believes they are the answer for the days ahead. I have to agree with him. I think we will see the power of God working in and through us as we live Our Lady's messages. If we root them in our hearts, carefully planting them and watering them, they will grow into powerful trees of life!In Jesus and Mary!
