Dear Family of Mary!

Dear children! As I call you to prayer for those who have not come to know the love of God, if you were to look into your hearts you would comprehend that I am speaking about many of you. With an open heart, sincerely ask yourselves if you want the Living God or do you want to eliminate Him and live as you want. Look around you, my children, and see where the world is going, the world that thinks of doing everything without the Father, and which wanders in the darkness of temptation. I am offering to you the light of the Truth and the Holy Spirit. According to God's plan I am with you to help you to have my Son, His Cross and Resurrection, triumph in your hearts.  As a mother, I desire and pray for your unity with my Son and His works. I am with you; you decide. Thank you.

(June 2, 2011)

At first reading, this message seemed a bit harsh, almost challenging.  Our Lady was turning the tables on us, questioning our conversion and our commitment to Jesus.  Was she upset with many of us?  After all these years how could we still be out of sync with her?

But as I prayed about it, I realized I was inserting my own tone of voice in the message.  I was hearing her words with my own intonation, my own impatience and negativity.  I re-read the message, this time adopting the loving manner of Our Mother, with her sweetness, her solicitude, her gentleness and her docility of spirit.  This time the message was totally different.  I did not hear judgment, I heard motherly concern.  Instead of impatience, I heard gentleness and carefulness.  I heard a genuine desire to help me coming through her words.  Our Lady was offering me her help.  I think she wants us to dig deeper and discover in the very center of our hearts if we have any obstacles in our relationship with God.  She wants us to be completely His.  And she is showing us the way.

"As I call you to prayer for those who have not come to know the love of God..."  The messages through Mirjana on the 2nd of the month are focused on praying for "those who have not come to know the love of God."  Instead of saying "unbelievers", Our Lady says "those who have not come to know the love of God."  She is very clear about this because she knows that once someone really knows the love of God they will never be the same, they will believe!  Knowing the love of God is much more than understanding all the good God does, or how holy God is or how perfect and powerful He is.  Knowing the love of God is actually experiencing His love in a one to one, personal encounter.  Those who experience God's love are changed because in that encounter they are given a personal, unique manifestation of God's love, a personal touch from Him that ratifies their dignity and opens them to the hope of happiness and love.  They are turned towards God with trust and hope, desiring Him with all their hearts.  They become believers.
Our Lady wants us to pray for all those who haven't experienced the love of God.  They need this experience so that they can become attached to God.  They need to experience His love so that they will be drawn into His loving embrace for all eternity.  It is an honor to pray for this intention. We can help many souls reach heaven through this prayer.  But along the way, maybe we will also be helped.  We all need to experience the love of God.  Head knowledge is not enough.  We need to encounter the Living God, meet Him and receive from Him the personal love He has for each of us.  We need this encounter every day!  On this road we travel, that love is essential.  It moves us forward, heals us, sustains us and directs us in the right path.  So, in our heart of hearts, if there is anything impeding the reception of that love, we also need help!

This is what Mother Mary is offering us in this message.  And so she gently says, "If you were to look into your hearts you would comprehend that I am speaking about many of you." Her invitation is to look into our own hearts, to take some time and examine our own hearts, to see if we are receiving love.  Are we letting God love us?  Are we receptive to His loving care, His fatherly guidance, His providential gifts?  Or are our hearts barren and empty, thirsting for love and in need of saving?  Are we experiencing God's love?  Or are we experiencing our own emptiness?  This is what she asks us.  This is what she, as our mother, wants to address.

Praise God for giving us such a Mother!

In Jesus and Mary!
