Monday, June 13, 7 p.m., at Holy Family Cathedral’s Holy Family Center, the Dominican Forum hosts a lecture titled, “Does God Exist?” by Dominican Father Anselm Ramelow. He is professor of philosophy at the Dominican School of Philosophy & Theology in Berkeley, Ca.

A current wave of “new atheism” – pushed by writers like Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens – questions the existence of God in the name of science. Yet recent science indicates that God must exist for the universe to be the way it is. Father Ramelow will provide a synopsis of this scientific reasoning and discuss the still deeper arguments for God’s existence that come from the very presuppositions of science itself.

The Dominican Forum offers lectures, workshops and seminars that engage the critical issues of the Church and society in the light of faith and scholarship.
