Saint Teresa of Jesus,
Teresa of Avila

While Jesus addressed these words to the rich young man, I am sure that Teresa of Avila also heard these words whispered in her ear. Not only did she follow Jesus and His way, but she went about,

 always on the move, reforming convents of religious men and women. A contemplative and a mystic, she was also most practical and down to earth.
Two secrets of her success were her sense of humor, and her deep trust in the power and presence of God. (We see this trust in the prayer, “Bookmark” which was found in her prayer book after her death in 1582).
Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things pass away:
God never changes.
Patience obtains all things.
He who has God
Finds he lacks nothing;
God alone suffices.

Please no anonymous comments. I require at least some way for people to address each other personally and courteously. Having some name or handle helps.
