The Mother of God's Role in Transforming us into Christ

"Pope Paul VI asked us to examine the sweetness and charm coming from the lofty virtues of the Immaculate Mother of God, which virtues incite us to imitate Christ as she did. In fact, by giving us Mary as our Mother, Jesus has directly presented her to us as a spiritual heritage...together with all the treasures of grace and virtue with which He filled her.

Such is the fruit of the mysteries of the Rosary... for in them we meditate on the virtues of the Mother of God and her Son. Through the Rosary, the Mother of God comes to us with Him and imprints His image on the altar of our stained hearts. If we place no obstacle to the grace she wishes to obtain for us, we will experience through the Rosary, Mary's presence and her transfiguring action....making us share at the same time more intensely in her virtues. Each of us then can say...and why is this granted to me that the Mother of my Lord should come to me?"
