Urgent petition to keep the Jesus statue

Dear Deacon Giglio,

If you are sick and tired of religion being banished from public life, please sign the petition to keep the WWII Memorial statue of Our Lord Jesus Christ at the Flathead National Forest near Kalispell, MT.

Here’s the story. . .

In 1953, WWII veterans and the Knights of Columbus had received a permanent special use permit to have a statue on Big Mountain, where it remains today.

But, recently, the US Forest Service denied a lease extension for the historic statue and demanded that it be moved.

Sign the urgent petition to Forest Service Chief Tom Tidwell and Northern Region Forester Leslie Weldon to keep the Jesus statue.

And the “Freedom From Religion Foundation” is arguing that the Forest Service was breaching separation of church and state rules by leasing the small plot of land for the Jesus statue, and is pushing the agency to remove the religious icon.

But a great public outcry in defense of the statue is spreading, which has caused the Forest Service to stay its decision. The US Forest Service is now in a period of receiving public comment on this vital issue.

So, there’s only a small window of opportunity to send them your opinion in favor of keeping the statue.

That’s why the US Forest Service urgently needs to hear from you – that you really want them to keep the Jesus statue and approve the appropriate permit as quickly as possible.

Sign the urgent petition to Forest Service Chief Tom Tidwell and Northern Region Forester Leslie Weldon to keep the Jesus statue.

Please tell them how sick and tired you are of our religion being banished from public view.

Most importantly, it’s vital that we express that:

We are NOT ashamed of Our Lord Jesus Christ!

Thank you.
