Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children, I am continuously among you because, with my endless love, I desire to show you the door of Heaven. I desire to tell you how it is opened: through goodness, mercy, love and peace - through my Son. Therefore, my children, do not waste time on vanities. Only knowledge of the love of my Son can save you. Through that salvific love and the Holy Spirit He chose me and I, together with Him, am choosing you to be apostles of His love and will. My children, great is the responsibility upon you. I desire that by your example you help sinners regain their sight, enrich their poor souls and bring them back into my embrace. Therefore, pray, pray, fast and confess regularly. If receiving my Son in the Eucharist is the center of your life then do not be afraid, you can do everything. I am with you. Every day I pray for the shepherds and I expect the same of you. Because, my children, without their guidance and strengthening through their blessing, you cannot do it. Thank you." (June 2, 2012)

"Only knowledge of the love of my Son can save you. Through that salvific love and the Holy Spirit He chose me and I, together with Him, am choosing you to be apostles of His love and will." Our Lady refers to the Annunciation, to the call of the Father and the Son, through the Holy Spirit issued to Mary, the young woman in Nazareth. That call was a choosing. God chose Mary to be the Mother of His Son. Mary said "yes". She was chosen and she said "yes". Now she is telling us that, together with that same Holy Spirit, Mary is now choosing us. She is issuing a call to us, a call to be apostles, apostles of the Holy Spirit and of Mary. Most likely, if you are reading this right now, you are one of those called. Our Lady is raising up her army for the last days, the days of her victory. And we are her army.

Truedevotion2

St. Louis de Montfort prophesied this call in his treatise, True Devotion to Mary. Let me share one excerpt as an example:

§ 3. Especially necessary to the great saints of the latter times.

47. I have said that this would come to pass, particularly at the end of the world and indeed presently, because the Most High with His holy Mother has to form for Himself great saints who shall surpass most of the other saints in sanctity as much as the cedars of Lebanon outgrow the little shrubs, as has been revealed to a holy soul whose life has been written by M. de Renty.

48. These great souls, full of grace and zeal, shall be chosen to match themselves against the enemies of God, who shall rage on all sides; and they shall be singularly devout to our Blessed Lady, illuminated by her light, strengthened with her nourishment, led by her spirit, supported by her arm and sheltered under her protection, so that they shall fight with one hand and build with the other. With the one hand they shall fight, overthrow and crush the heretics with their heresies, the schismatics with their schisms, the idolaters with their idolatries and the sinners with their impieties. With the other hand they shall build (Esd. 4:7) the temple of the true Solomon and the mystical city of God that is to say, the most holy Virgin, called by the fathers the "Temple of Solomon" and the "City of God". By their words and their examples they shall draw the whole world to true devotion to Mary. This shall bring upon them many enemies, but shall also bring many victories and much glory for God alone. This is what God revealed to St. Vincent Ferrer, the great apostle of his age, as he has sufficiently noted in one of his works.

(St. Louis De Montfort. True Devotion to Mary. § 3, N 47-48)

St. Louis says, "These great souls, full of grace and zeal, shall be chosen..." They are chosen to be Our Lady's children, the ones who will be her heel that crushes the head of satan. These will be her chosen apostles in this last age. Furthermore, these chosen ones will have a special relationship to Our Lady: "they shall be singularly devout to our Blessed Lady, illuminated by her light, strengthened with her nourishment, led by her spirit, supported by her arm and sheltered under her protection..." Have we not all experienced this special protection, support, nourishment and light through Our Lady's presence in Medjugorje? Is this not a good description of what we receive when we go there? Isn't this the fruit of living her messages?

I think Medjugorje is the gift of God for these difficult latter days, the gift to Our Lady, the place where she can form her heel. We are chosen by the Holy Spirit, by Christ's salvific love, and by our Mother, to be the little, humble army of Mary.

Jesus once said to His apostles, "You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide..." (John 15:16). Our Lady now says the same to her apostles: "I, together with Him, am choosing you to be apostles of His love and will."   We are apostles of Our Lady and through her, of Jesus. We are being called to bear good fruit- that is - God's will and love.

Let's not be surprised. Being chosen is part of our reality. We did not choose to be conceived or born, or raised in our family, or to have blue eyes, or long feet. We were chosen by God to be just as we are. And so being chosen now to be Our Lady's apostles, this is a wonderful opportunity to shine with love and goodness! We are being blessed! Let's say "yes"!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
