Our Lady of Guadalupe Oh to be wrapped in Her starry mantle!
July 20, 2012
Dear Family of Mary!
"Dear children! Today I want to wrap you all in my mantle and lead you all along the way of conversion. Dear children, I beseech you, surrender to the Lord your entire past, all the evil that has accumulated in your hearts. I want each one of you to be happy, but in sin nobody can be happy. Therefore, dear children, pray, and in prayer you shall realize a new way of joy. Joy will manifest in your hearts and thus you shall be joyful witnesses of that which I and My Son want from each one of you. I am blessing you. Thank you for having responded to my call." (February 25, 1987)
Last night Mary TV aired the second in the new series of testimonies of the Fruit of Medjugorje. It was an interview with Mary MacDonell, a wife and mother of 6 children. Mary went to Medjugorje in 1997, searching for peace in her heart, for the joy that seemed to elude her all her life. She shares about how Our Lady taught her to surrender her entire past to the Lord in the most amazing way, while she was on Apparition Hill. If you couldn't join for the initial airing, the archive will be available for a week at www.marytv.tv .
This new series of shows will feature testimonies from people like you and me. These stories will be as different as each of us is different. There are no two lives that are the same, no two journeys towards God that take the same path. God calls each one of us by name because we are each unique. I think it will be wonderful to be filled with the beauty of Our Lady's call in Medjugorje, as it is lived out by each person.
Please pray for our team, Mike, Matt, Joseph and Denis, as they continue to perfect the technical process of streaming on the internet. We have had a few issues to resolve, causing delays in the airing of the program. Prayer will help us!
Our Lady expressed the deep desire that she has for us in the message of February 25, 1987. She said, "Today I want to wrap you all in my mantle..." She sounds like a mother! Don't mothers love to scoop up their little ones and wrap them in their embrace, covering them with a blanket, and bundling them against the cold? It is a natural urge! Our Lady has that natural urge to embrace us and to draw us very close to her. Babies who are embraced in this way can relax, stop their struggling, and fall asleep immediately. It is a joyful submission to the love of the mother. We need to experience that joyful submission to Mary, allowing her to snuggle us and give us rest. We need to rest in her arms. We are tired and worn out from the struggles of life. We need to rest with Mary.
This weekend, maybe we can take time to succumb to Our Lady's embrace, and surrender our problems, fears and worries to her. Then she will help us to continue that surrender, in our conversion, in our surrender of all that is evil to the Lord so that He can fill us with His joy!
