The picture above was
hand drawn by Father Peter, who is one of the many Catholic priests Opus
Bono cares for in prison. It is a thank you card, signed by 42
prisoners who have benefited from Father’s love, encouragement and
spiritual guidance. Even in the “monastery of the prison cell”,
incarcerated Catholic priests continue their ministerial priesthood to
the poor and outcast, like themselves. At Father’s request, Opus Bono
provided missals for all the prisoners engaged in Father’s weekly
service as a prisoner to his brother prisoners.
“For I was in prison, and you visited me.” (Matt 25:37)
What
better way to answer Jesus’ call to visit Him in prison, then by
helping His Alter Christus’ incarcerated in the prisons of our world?
When you become a Partner In Mission with Opus Bono Sacerdotii, you

care for a priest in prison. You fulfill Jesus’ call to visit Him in
prison! It is because we represent you when we care for priests in
prison and, in fact, it is because of you that we are able to do it.
Pope Francis wrote to one of our priests in prison when he was Cardinal in Argentina.
