Mary TV Daily Reflection 12/31/2014

Pray more for the family....

December 31, 2014
New Year's Eve
St. Sylvester I, Pope

Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children, today I want to say thank you, thank you dear children, because you have made a choice, you have decided to live my messages. Today I invite you anew, during this time of grace, to pray more for the family and to pray for the evangelization of the family and especially to pray for young people that God may dwell in the family and occupy the first place. I am with you and pray with you. Thank you dear children for also today having responded to my call." (December 29, 2014, Ivan)

Our Lady through Ivan asks us to pray for our families, for all families. Truly there is a huge battle over our families today. The young people are being torn away from their families, due to the modern, media driven and amoral society they are living in. The family has lost its cohesion. We live as individuals, going always our own way. Love and service are lost. And so Our Lady asks us to pray, and to pray hard! Here is a message she gave in 2004:

October 25, 2004 "Dear children! This is a time of grace for the family and, therefore, I call you to renew prayer. May Jesus be in the heart of your family. In prayer, learn to love everything that is holy. Imitate the lives of saints so that they may be an incentive and teachers on the way of holiness. May every family become a witness of love in this world without prayer and peace. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Mary asks us to imitate the lives of the saints as a way to combat this disintegration of the family. Our older brothers and sisters in Christ can show us the way to holiness and wholeness if we embrace them as examples and intercessors. That is why it is such a blessing to let a saint pick each one of us at New Year's (or at another important time each year). In this way, we gain a new intercessor and guide each year, someone to help us choose holiness!

Denis and I will pick our saints on New Year's Day during our Rosary online. We have provided a list of saints that can be printed, cut out, and placed in a container. Then each member of your family can pray and pick a saint from the container (or as Denis says, the saint chooses you!)

Here is the URL for the saints list on the Mary TV website:

http://www.marytv.tv/saints-list

A thank you is in order to Olga, our shipmate from Russia, who updated the list and reformatted it for easier printing and cutting. Thank you Olga!!

Don't forget that Mary TV will stream, live, the Cenacolo Christmas Play today (December 31) at 7:30 Medjugorje Time (1:30 EST) - WEATHER PERMITTING. The forecast is for extreme cold in Medjugorje. Check the website for up to date news on the program.

We at Mary TV want to thank you all who have participated in these Daily Reflections, the English Masses, the Testimonies on Fruit of Medjugorje, the Silent Prayer in Medjugorje, and the Daily Rosary, Tea with Rosie, the new Internet Channel, the climbs up the mountains, and all our special events. This has been an incredible year of growth for Mary TV, due in no small part to your prayers and support!! We are looking toward even greater graces in 2015, as we embrace the Presence of Our Lady in Medjugorje, through Mary TV!

God bless you all, and have a very blessed New Year!!
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mary TV Daily Reflection 12/30/2014 - Our Lady's message through Ivan

Pray more for the family....

Sixth Day within the Octave of Christmas

Dear Family of Mary!

On December 29, 2014, at 10:00 pm, Our Lady appeared to Ivan Dragicevic during the meeting of his prayer group on Apparition Hill.  After the apparition Ivan shared about his encounter with Our Lady:

Today, like every day after the meeting with Our Lady, I would like to describe to you what is most important.  Also today Our Lady came to us joyful and happy, and she welcomed all of us with her motherly greeting: "Praised be Jesus, my dear children!"  Then Our Lady said:

"Dear children, today I want to say thank you, thank you dear children, because you have made a choice, you have decided to live my messages. Today I invite you anew, during this time of grace, to pray more for the family and to pray for the evangelization of the family and especially to pray for young people that God may dwell in the family and occupy the first place. I am with you and pray with you. Thank you dear children for also today having responded to my call."

After that Our Lady prayed for a period of time over all of us here with her hands outstretched.  She blessed us all with her motherly blessing and she blessed everything you brought for her to bless.  I also recommended all of you, your needs, your families, and all that is in your hearts.  Our Lady knows our hearts better than anyone else.

After that Our Lady continued to pray over all of us and then she left in prayer in the light and the sign of the cross, saying "Go in peace, my dear children!"

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

From The Friars eLetter: El Greco's Evangelist

Paint. Paint the soft lines
of damp cheeks across a canvas.
Paint the little hand, the deep
eyes and the orb.
Splash some color along the curve
of her neck and suggest
the wafting scent of his musty flesh,
the earth soiling her mantle’s hem,
the wet hay and animal sweat.
Fill out her rounded face
and his chubby legs. Paint well
her ponderous humanity and his
unquestioned divinity
and her smile, Luke. Paint her smile
and we shall see
how well your lazy eye can see.

Mary TV Daily Reflection 12/29/2014

Also today, in my arms I am carrying my Son Jesus to you...

J.M.J
December 29, 2014

Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children! Also today, in my arms I am carrying my Son Jesus to you and I am asking from Him peace for you and peace among you. Pray to and adore my Son for His peace and joy to enter into your hearts. I am praying for you to be all the more open to prayer. Thank you for having responded to my call." (December 25, 2014 - Marija)

Our Lady tells us several very simple things in this Christmas message through Marija:

She presents to us the Infant Jesus, carried in her arms. She brings Him to us during the apparition, and also as we turn to her in prayer at this time. Just as she held her Son Jesus in her arms in the stable at Bethlehem, and allowed shepherds and Kings to adore Him, so she invites us to adore Him as well.

Our Lady tells us she is praying to her Son, asking Him to give us His peace, in our own hearts and between us as the family of God.

Then she tells us to pray to Jesus ourselves, for peace. We must petition the Lord for the gift of peace, through prayer, just as Our Lady petitions Him for us.

And she advises us to adore Jesus so that His peace may enter our hearts. Adoration is the best kept secret in the Catholic Church. We have adoration built into our Liturgy, at the Consecration. But do we realize what kind of moment this is, the moment of Adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament? Do we realize that Jesus can penetrate our souls at the moment of Adoration, and transform us? Do we open ourselves to Jesus in Adoration? Do we realize that as we adore Jesus, we are saying that He is our God and our Lord, and that we surrender ourselves completely to Him? This is the way to peace!

And finally she tells us she is praying for us to open to prayer. The key to everything is in prayer. If we acquire a taste for prayer, for spending time with the Lord, we will discover everything we need, including peace.

These seemingly simple statements carry within them more power than we can imagine. Splitting the atom is nothing compared to the power of prayer and adoration of Jesus. May we respond to Our Lady's call at this Christmas time, and become all the more open to prayer. If we do, Jesus' peace and joy will enter our hearts, and all will be well.

Spiritual Gems-At Christmas, Let us Intensify our Love-December 27, 2014

At Christmas, Let us Intensify our Love

What shall I say?  Has there been anyone more abandoned, more despised or more forgotten than I?  If all of you knew the longing I feel for you.  In My continual loneliness, I call out to you with great love and patience, but you treat Me like someone who has no feelings.  If you drew close to Me with trust,  you would feel the love which My Sacred Heart has for you....your faith and trust will give strength to a million souls to persevere.

Blessed and Joyous Christmas from Mary TV!!!

December 25, 2014
Christmas Day

Dear Family of Mary!

Here is Our Lady's December 25, 2014 Message through Marija:

"Dear children! Also today, in my arms I am carrying my Son Jesus to you and I am asking from Him peace for you and peace among you. Pray to and adore my Son for His peace and joy to enter into your hearts. I am praying for you to be all the more open to prayer. Thank you for having responded to my call."

ANNUAL MESSAGE TO JAKOV COLO
At the last daily apparition to Jakov Colo on September 12th, 1998, Our Lady told him that henceforth he would have one apparition a year, every December 25th on Christmas Day. This is also how it was this year. The apparition began at 2:40 pm and lasted eight minutes. Afterwards Jakov transmitted the message:

"Dear children! Today, on this day of grace, I desire for each of your hearts to become a little stable of Bethlehem in which the Saviour of the world was born. I am your mother who loves you immeasurably and is concerned for each of you. Therefore, my children, abandon yourselves to the mother, so that she may place each of your hearts and lives before little Jesus; because only in this way, my children, your hearts will be witnesses of God's daily birth in you. Permit God to illuminate your lives with light and your hearts with joy, so that you may daily illuminate the way and be an example of true joy to others who live in darkness and are not open to God and his graces. Thank you for having responded to my call." (December 25, 2014)

From The Friars eLetter: Born in Bronx-lehem

We rejoice! The Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ is upon us once again. Merry Christmas everybody - or as a local carwash sign has it, “Happy Everything!” We remember that Christ was born in Bethlehem and we rejoice!

But why do we rejoice? Saint Pope John Paul II put it this way when he preached at Bethlehem (March 2000): “The joy announced by the angel is not a thing of the past. It is a joy of today… Because it is always Christmas in Bethlehem, every day is Christmas in the hearts of Christians. And every day we are called to proclaim the message of Bethlehem to the world.”

But how do we rejoice? While in the past Jesus was born in Bethlehem, he is born in Bronx-lehem this day. He is born anew in every place where faith-filled hearts welcome him with joy. I was reminded of this life-shaking truth as I participated in our Saint Francis Youth Center Nativity Play. Our young people prepared and practiced to re-enact that sacred story in the Bronx milieu. The characters all spoke with authentic NYC accents while Fr. Stan Fortuna provided the appropriate soundtrack (something to see and hear)! The message was clear: Yoforeal! Jesus is born for us, for us y’all and so we rejoice!

I remember the semester I spent abroad in Austria. The local churches had the Christmas crèche characters dressed in traditional Austrian outfits. The message was clear: Jesus is born for us and we rejoice. So, welcome him into your heart, your home and your town. I don’t know if Santa Claus is coming to your town, but Jesus certainly is. Simply add a “-lehem” to your location and dress those Nativity figures as farmers if you live in the Midwest! Jesus Christ is born for us and this makes everything happy!

Blessed and Joyous Christmas from Mary TV!!!

J.M.J
December 24, 2014
Christmas Eve

Dear Family of Mary!

On the eve of the great feast of Christmas, as we await the birth of our Savior, may we all take time in silence to welcome Him into our hearts.

I have gathered a few Christmas messages from Our Lady over the years. They are beautiful. May we open our hearts to Our Lady's words, given to us out of love and by the Father's design.

We at Mary TV pray that you will all be wrapped in Our Lady's mantle of love this night and that the Blessed Infant will gaze upon you in wonder and joy. He comes to save us from our sins. We are filled with joy!

December 25, 1988 "Dear children! I call you to peace. Live it in your heart and all around you, so that all will know peace, peace that does not come from you but from God. Little children, today is a great day. Rejoice with me. Glorify the Nativity of Jesus through the peace that I give you. It is for this peace that I have come as your Mother, Queen of Peace. Today I give you my special blessing. Bring it to all creation, so that all creation will know peace. Thank you for having responded to my call."

December 25, 1992 "Dear children! I desire to place all of you under my mantle and protect you from all satanic attacks. Today is a day of peace, but in the whole world there is a great lack of peace. That is why I call you all to build a new world of peace with me through prayer. This I cannot do without you, and this is why I call all of you with my motherly love and God will do the rest. So, open yourselves to God's plan and to His designs to be able to cooperate with Him for peace and for everything that is good. Do not forget that your life does not belong to you, but is a gift with which you must bring joy to others and lead them to eternal life. May the tenderness of the little Jesus always accompany you. Thank you for having responded to my call."

December 25, 1994 "Dear children! Today I rejoice with you and I am praying with you for peace: peace in your hearts, peace in your families, peace in your desires, peace in the whole world. May the King of Peace bless you today and give your peace. I bless you and I carry each one of your in my heart. Thank you for having responded to my call."

December 25, 1999 "Dear children! This is the time of grace. Little children, today in a special way with little Jesus, whom I hold in my embrace, I am giving you the possibility to decide for peace. Through your 'yes' for peace and your decision for God, a new possibility for peace is opened. Only in this way, little children, this century will be for you a time of peace and well-being. Therefore, put little newborn Jesus in the first place in your life and He will lead you on the way of salvation. Thank you for having responded to my call."

December 25, 2012 Our Lady came with little Jesus in her arms and she did not give a message, but little Jesus began to speak and said: "I am your peace, live my commandments." With a sign of the cross, Our Lady and little Jesus blessed us together.

December 25, 2013 "Dear children! I am carrying to you the King of Peace that He may give you His peace. You, little children, pray, pray, pray. The fruit of prayer will be seen on the faces of the people who have decided for God and His Kingdom. I, with my Son Jesus, bless you all with a blessing of peace. Thank you for having responded to my call."

From Mark Mallett: The Nigerian Gift

The Nigerian Gift

IT was the last leg of my flight home from a speaking tour in the United States a few years ago. I was still lingering in the graces of Divine Mercy Sunday as I arrived at the Denver airport. I had some time to spare before my final flight, and so I walked around the concourse for awhile.
I noticed a shoe shine station along the wall. I looked down at my fading black footwear and thought to myself, “Nah, I’ll do it myself when I get home.” But when I returned past the shoe-shiners several minutes later, something inside was prodding me to go have my shoes done. And so, I finally stopped after passing them for a third time, and mounted one of the chairs.

Keep checking Mary TV's web page for further Live Streaming announcements!

Thanks to your financial support throughout 2014 Mary TV has much to be thankful for. Nearly a thousand videos can now be watched on demand at Mary TV and this morning from Medjugorje we Live Stream to the world the last day of the Parish's Christmas Novena. Besides our regular Medjugorje programming, Mary TV's Internet TV Channel is now up and running. You can bring Medjugorje into your home all day long! Soon we intend to be reaching the world's three major time zones!

During an apparition to Vicka in Medjugorje more than 15 years ago Our Lady endorsed Mary TV's plan, telling Vicka she would take the reigns into her own hands - telling Mary TV when to begin!  Since then we have been continually amazed.  Only Our Lady could have orchestrated the progress of Mary TV.

Through modern means of communication technologies her children throughout the world are able to be present with her in Medjugorje! This is huge! "My Son promised me that evil will never win, because you, the souls of the just, are here!" (November 2, 2014 message).

Mary TV is the fruit of the generosity of about 400 donors - the majority of whom give from $5 to $20 per month. One person last week committed to sending $1 each month. We'll take it! With thousands around the world logging into our programming every day, bandwidth costs have skyrocketed (to which we can only exclaim "Praise God")!

James contacted us not long ago from New Zealand:

"I have been a user of Mary TV for some time now and have not felt any need or compulsion to give financially. I was asking myself about it though and just lately I was playing the thought over of giving [a donation] and I felt/heard a female voice say enthusiastically, "Yes, if you want," or something like that. I think Our Lady has been waiting and watching for it to come from me as I believe she doesn't want to overburden anyone as she knows how much we love her and want to please her."

Ask Our Lady if she would like you to become a monthly donor to Mary TV! (For donor information see the left hand column at www.marytv.tv.)

Our Lady concluded her November 2, 2014 message: "My Son promised me that evil will never win, because you, the souls of the just, are here... All of this makes you my apostles and leads you towards the victory of my heart!"

May you have a blessed and holy Christmas and New Year. We are thankful for all we've been able to accomplish together and are looking forward to a new year of grace with our beautiful Mother who wants the world to know: "I have descended among you!"

Thank you and God bless you!
