Dear Family of Mary!

Dear Children, I am coming to you as a mother and I desire that in me, as in a mother, you may find your abode, consolation and rest. Therefore, my children, apostles of my love, pray. Pray with humble devotion, obedience and complete trust in the Heavenly Father. Trust as I have trusted when it was said to me that I will bring the blessing of the promise. May out of your hearts, from your lips, always come forth: 'May Your will be done!' Therefore, trust and pray so that I can intercede for you before the Lord, for Him to give you the heavenly blessing and fill you with the Holy Spirit. Then you will be able to help all those who do not know the Lord - you, apostles of my love, will help them to call Him 'Father' with complete trust. Pray for your shepherds and place your trust in their blessed hands. Thank you. (March 2, 2014)

Our Lady chose to do the will of God in everything. And though she was led through many sorrows and sufferings, she never doubted the goodness of the Father's will. She trusted Him completely. Even and especially at the foot of the Cross, Mary trusted the Father and obediently accepted His will. Her heart was steadfast. We can be sure that these words were in her struggling and suffering heart, "May out of [my] heart, from [my] lips, always come forth: 'May Your will be done!'"

Mother Mary now is accompanying us on our journeys towards heaven. And she is offering to us the strength and comfort of her Immaculate Heart, to help us on the way. She is teaching us how to endure the difficulties that will certainly come along, and not just endure but to triumph in those difficulties. She tells us, "May out of your hearts, from your lips, always come forth: 'May Your will be done!'"

St. Faustina had a deep relationship with Jesus, and He taught her how to triumph in her difficulties with the very same advice. In her Diary, St. Faustina wrote:

Soul: One more thing, Lord. What should I do when I am ignored and rejected by people, especially by those on whom I had a right to count in times of greatest need?

Jesus: My child, make the resolution never to rely on people. Entrust yourself completely to My will saying, "Not as I want, but according to Your will, O God, let it be done unto me." These words, spoken from the depths of one's heart, can raise a soul to the summit of sanctity in a short time. In such a soul I delight. Such a soul gives Me glory. Such a soul fills heaven with the fragrance of her virtue. But understand that the strength by which you bear sufferings comes from frequent Communions. So approach this fountain of mercy often, to draw with the vessel of trust whatever you need. (Diary 1487)

When we find ourselves in difficulties, sufferings, trials, and sorrow, this is the way to turn those moments into victory and joy. By willing to choose God's will, we turn all that is negative into positive. We turn the tables! We make the desert a garden! We die as a seed to bring forth fruit! We make way for God to act. Or as Jesus told St. Faustina, we give glory to God and fill heaven with the fragrance of our virtue!!

"May out of [my] heart, from [my] lips, always come forth: 'May Your will be done!'" Maybe we can practice praying these words today. They can be our silent prayer as we go about our day. Then at the end of the day, maybe we will look back and see the tables have turned!
