New Year's Eve
St. Sylvester I, Pope

Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children, today I want to say thank you, thank you dear children, because you have made a choice, you have decided to live my messages. Today I invite you anew, during this time of grace, to pray more for the family and to pray for the evangelization of the family and especially to pray for young people that God may dwell in the family and occupy the first place. I am with you and pray with you. Thank you dear children for also today having responded to my call." (December 29, 2014, Ivan)

Our Lady through Ivan asks us to pray for our families, for all families. Truly there is a huge battle over our families today. The young people are being torn away from their families, due to the modern, media driven and amoral society they are living in. The family has lost its cohesion. We live as individuals, going always our own way. Love and service are lost. And so Our Lady asks us to pray, and to pray hard! Here is a message she gave in 2004:

October 25, 2004 "Dear children! This is a time of grace for the family and, therefore, I call you to renew prayer. May Jesus be in the heart of your family. In prayer, learn to love everything that is holy. Imitate the lives of saints so that they may be an incentive and teachers on the way of holiness. May every family become a witness of love in this world without prayer and peace. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Mary asks us to imitate the lives of the saints as a way to combat this disintegration of the family. Our older brothers and sisters in Christ can show us the way to holiness and wholeness if we embrace them as examples and intercessors. That is why it is such a blessing to let a saint pick each one of us at New Year's (or at another important time each year). In this way, we gain a new intercessor and guide each year, someone to help us choose holiness!

Denis and I will pick our saints on New Year's Day during our Rosary online. We have provided a list of saints that can be printed, cut out, and placed in a container. Then each member of your family can pray and pick a saint from the container (or as Denis says, the saint chooses you!)

Here is the URL for the saints list on the Mary TV website:

A thank you is in order to Olga, our shipmate from Russia, who updated the list and reformatted it for easier printing and cutting. Thank you Olga!!

Don't forget that Mary TV will stream, live, the Cenacolo Christmas Play today (December 31) at 7:30 Medjugorje Time (1:30 EST) - WEATHER PERMITTING. The forecast is for extreme cold in Medjugorje. Check the website for up to date news on the program.

We at Mary TV want to thank you all who have participated in these Daily Reflections, the English Masses, the Testimonies on Fruit of Medjugorje, the Silent Prayer in Medjugorje, and the Daily Rosary, Tea with Rosie, the new Internet Channel, the climbs up the mountains, and all our special events. This has been an incredible year of growth for Mary TV, due in no small part to your prayers and support!! We are looking toward even greater graces in 2015, as we embrace the Presence of Our Lady in Medjugorje, through Mary TV!

God bless you all, and have a very blessed New Year!!
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
