Mother Mary said at Fatima: "My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the sure way which will lead you to God." St. Thomas Aquinas said: "The things we love tell us who we are!" With that in mind, I will try to post each day something about Our Blessed Lady, items about the Holy Roman Catholic Church, and public domain Catholic books too! I pray you enjoy my ministry!
Below are two albums of pictures that I created:
1. Our grand daughter Adrianna.
2. Tears of Mary!
Let us meditate on the Wedding at Cana (John 2:1-11). It was the scene of Jesus’ first miracle, according to the Gospel. Does that seem a bit odd? Seemingly, a more obvious first miracle would have been the healing of the blind man, or the resurrection of the dead man, or the calming of the storm...
But no. At the request of His Mother, God made man did his first miracle in a “domestic” situation. He wanted to give joy to a newlywed couple, so that the feast would not be spoiled. Here, Christ’s attitude teaches us three points:
1. The small joys of a simple life are very important to God. They should be important to us too. 2. Jesus aims to help us understand that the souls who, like Mary, know how to find joy in their everyday tasks, live happy lives and feel the desire to transmit this joy to others. 3. By this miracle, Christ wants us to understand the power of Our Lady’s intercession with her Son, who always listens to her.
