Mary TV: December 13, 2017 Reflection - With complete trust give me your hearts...

Dear Family of Mary!

June 2, 2007 "Dear children! Also in this difficult time God's love sends me to you. My children, do not be afraid, I am with you. With complete trust give me your hearts, that I may help you to recognize the signs of the time in which you live. I will help you to come to know the love of my Son. I will triumph through you. Thank you."

Our Lady is with us, so close to us, so near, that we have only to whisper to her and she hears us. She is near because this is a "difficult" time. This is a time of intense spiritual battle in which many souls hang in the balance. Mary is here with us as the Queen of this army, her Son's army.

God's love has sent her. God's infinite love knew just who to send at this time. He sent the Immaculate Mother to lead the battle against the enemy of our souls. She is equipped. She is strong and she can defeat him.

But she needs our cooperation. And so she asks us to give her our hearts, with complete trust, without fear. She needs our hearts, surrendered to her and to Jesus, so that she can fill them with light, the light of her Son. With this light we will recognize what is really going on in this difficult time. We will not be fooled. We will see the victory of her heart approaching.

Our job is to surrender. I found this beautiful prayer of surrender to God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit which is also directed to Mary, on a parish website in England! St. Vincent's Parish! I share it with you here, and I will give the link so you can go to the site yourselves to print it off. It is very beautiful, and will help us to truly surrender everything in our hearts to Jesus and Mary, so that we will recognize the signs of the time we live in, the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart!

A prayer of Surrender from St. Vincent's Parish -

SURRENDER PRAYER
God, my Father, I thank you for all that you are, and all that you do for me through your Son Jesus Christ. I praise you for my life, for your mercy and for your Eucharist. In Jesus' name, Father, I place myself entirely in your Heart. I surrender to you my whole self, my heart, my mind, my memory, my imagination, my will, my emotions, my passions, my body, my sexuality, my desire for human approval, my weaknesses, my desires, my sins.

I surrender every person in my life to you. I surrender every situation in my life to you. I surrender every relationship I am in to you. I surrender every concern I have to you. I surrender every fear I have to you. I surrender every doubt I have to you. I surrender all confusion I have to you. I surrender all sadness I am experiencing in my heart to you. I surrender all my wounds to you. I surrender all anxiety and worry I have to you. I surrender all that deceives me in my heart to you. I trust you to care for me and others in a perfectly loving way.

As I have emptied myself, and surrendered everything to you, I ask you now, Father, to fill me with your Holy Spirit and all the gifts and fruits of your Spirit. Holy Spirit you are the source of love, hope, joy, peace, patience, goodness, gentleness, tenderness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control. Purify my desires. Help me to open my heart to you. Help me to become perfectly receptive as a pure child. Help me to believe in your love for me. Help me to hope in your love. Help me to receive from the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus all grace and virtues necessary for me to become the person you created me to be. I ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ, Your son, God Almighty Father.

O Most Holy Immaculate Virgin Mary. I entrust this prayer to your Heart, and ask you to press it to your wounded heart and intercede for me to your Son Jesus. Please help me to be as you are, a perfect disciple, an obedient servant, a true child of God. Amen.

Amen and Amen!!

I am excited that we can all draw very close to Mary's heart, and through her to the Heart of Jesus. There we will find the Blessed Trinity, with every blessing and gift we need to help Our Lady's heart to triumph!

Mary TV: December 12, 2017 Reflection - Our Lady of Guadalupe

Our Lady of Guadalupe
The miraculous image on the Tilma of Juan Diego
Our Lady of Guadalupe

December 12, 2017
Our Lady of Guadalupe

Dear Family of Mary!

"Am I not here who am your Mother?" (Our Lady of Guadalupe to Juan Diego)

"Dear children! Today I invite you to come still closer to me through prayer. Little children, I am your mother, I love you and I desire that each of you be saved and thus be with me in Heaven. That is why, little children, pray, pray, pray until your life becomes prayer. Thank you for having responded to my call." (Our Lady of Medjugorje, August 25, 1998)

Today is the beautiful Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Especially for those of us in the Americas, this feast is central, for it was through Our Lady of Guadalupe that our hemisphere was won for Christ. What would have taken centuries for missionaries, took only a few years for Mary. She converted and saved millions of her children through her image on the Tilma of Juan Diego!

Here is a brief account of that miraculous event which changed the Americas forever:
Two days later, on December 12, as he was going to the Church at Tlatelolco in order to bring a priest to his dying uncle, Juan Diego was stopped by the Lady, who had come down from Tepeyac Hill to meet him in the road. She listened quietly to Juan's excuse for not having kept his appointment with her the day before. When he had finished speaking she said, "It is well, littlest and dearest of my sons, but now listen to me. Do not let anything afflict you and be not afraid of illness or pain. Am I not here who am your Mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection? Are you not in the crossing of my arms? Is there anything else you need? Do not fear for your uncle for he is not going to die. Be assured... he is already well."
Having heard these words, Juan Diego rejoiced and asked for the sign he was to take to the Bishop. He was told to climb to the top of the hill where she had spoken to him on three previous occasions. She said he would find many flowers blooming there which he was to cut and bring to her. Juan Diego did as he was told though he knew no flowers had ever bloomed before on the stony summit. He discovered a marvelous garden of dew-fresh blossoms which he cut as she had asked. Placing them in his rough cloak, or tilma, he brought the flowers to the Lady who rearranged them and told him to take them to the Bishop; that this was the sign to persuade him to carry out her wishes.
When Juan Diego, radiantly happy, stood before Bishop Fray Juan de Zumarraga and told him of the fourth encounter with the Lady, he opened his tilma to show the Bishop the sign; the flowers cascaded to the floor - but to the astonishment of the Bishop and Juan Diego, there appeared upon the coarse fabric of the Indian's mantle a marvelously wrought, exquisitely colored portrait of the Blessed Virgin, just as Juan Diego had previously described her.  (from this article: http://queenoftheamericasguild.org/history-of-the-apparitions/  )

Coming on the heels of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, this beautiful event shows the power and compassion of the Mary, Mother of God. The Immaculate One came to save her little children in Mexico, and no one could stop her! Today she comes anew, to save her children, now throughout the whole world, and again, no one can stop her. Like Juan Diego, we should be radiantly happy as we stand before our families and communities, with the sign of Our Lady of Medjugorje not on our tilmas, but in our hearts and on our faces. That sign is the peace and love of God!

Our Lady (in Medjugorje) says to us, even as she said to Juan Diego, "Am I not here, who am your Mother? Are you not under my protection? Am I not your health? Are you not happily within my fold? What else do you wish?"

Mary TV: December 11, 2017 Reflection - Gay Russell and Our Lady's Plan for Malawi

Malawi Medjugorje Shrine!!

December 11, 2017
St. Damasus I

Dear Family of Mary!

The Fruit of Medjugorje testimony that was introduced last week is a very special one. Gay Russell shares the remarkable events that led to the establishment of a Medjugorje Shrine in Malawi, Africa!! Here is a short version of her testimony that was published in the book, "Medjugorje and the Church" by Denis Nolan.

Gay Russell of Malawi writes: "In September, 2000, I was given a ticket to make a pilgrimage to Rome and Medjugorje...I was agonizing with Jesus for three days preparing for the trip before the Blessed Sacrament, 'Why Me, Lord? Why am I blessed to go again? What about all the Malawians who can never go?'...On the third day the phone rang, and a voice, obviously long distance, said to me 'Is that Gay Russell...You don't know me. My name is Tony Smith. I love Medjugorje and I want to talk to you about this idea I have...I was hoping to build a replica of Krizevac for all the people in England who could not go, but...last night I heard clearly in my heart: "Build it in Malawi for all the Malawians who can never go". Now I am asking if you could find a mountain near Blantyre on the summit of which we could build the Krizevac Cross and then place the Stations of the Cross up the mountain just like in Medjugorje. I hope you don't think I am crazy, but it could become a Medjugorje for the Malawians.'"

The Forestry Department gave permission for a replica of the Cross on Krizevac to be built on Mount Michiru and the Archbishop gave permission for the shrine. The bronze plaques depicting the Stations of the Cross were done by Carmello Puzzolo in Italy, identical to the ones he did that are on Krizevac in Medjugorje. (His Rosary plaques, identical to the ones he did for Medjugorje, will soon be placed on an adjoining hill.)

On August 5, 2006, Archbishop Tarcisio Ziyaye of the Blantyre Archdiocese, assisted by Bishop Remi St. Marie of Dedza Diocese and Bishop Peter Musikuwa of Chikwawa Diocese, together with 21 priests from various parishes in the southern region, formally consecrated the new Church, "as an incredible gift from God for all those who cannot go to Medjugorje." More than 5,000 of the faithful attended the first Mass in St. James Church in Blantyre. "Now that the church is complete the keys can be handed over," proclaimed Fr. Kanjira, the Diocesan Administrator who was Master of Ceremonies for the celebration. Mr. Armenio Da Costa (the builder) presented them to Gay Russell (the Medjugorje Pilgrim who had overseen the project to its completion), who presented them to Tony Smith (the benefactor), who in turn presented them to the Archbishop, who joyfully handed them over to Fr. Mwapuwa, the parish priest. "At this point great jubilation and ululating broke out in the church; the choir began singing the Gloria, and the church bells rang out loud and clear for the first time. It was wonderful to experience the overwhelming joy!"

The new St. James Church is identical to St. James Church in Medjugorje in every way! St. James Church in Malawi lies at the foot of Mt. Michiru (about the same height as Mt. Krizevac in Medjugorje) with a cross on the summit identical to the one on Mt. Krizevac, and about the same distance from the church.

Gay states: "I believe that this has been given to Africa since it is now almost impossible for any group from here to get to Medjugorje. To acquire the proper visa African passport holders have to travel to Johannesburg or Cairo for a personal interview beforehand. It is believed one day this will become a very special place of pilgrimage for all peoples of Africa, our tie with the grace of Medjugorje!"

Gay's beautiful testimony can be found at this link on the Mary TV website:

Testimony 293

Thank you, Gay, for your many years of serving Our Lady!! You are an inspiration to all of us! And to Tony and all those who made the Malawi Medjugorje Shrine possible, a big thank you!!

Denis and I (with our buddy Steve) climbed Krizevac on October 13, 2017 early in the morning, in honor of the 100th Anniversary of Fatima, and who should be we meet on the way up but Gay Russell!!  Here is our picture together at the Cross!!  What a joy!

Mary TV: December 8, 2017 Reflection - Great news from Archbishop Hoser for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception!

(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2017

December 8, 2017
The Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Dear Family of Mary!

On this wonderful feast day celebrating our Mother's Immaculate Conception, let's pray a prayer of consecration to her Immaculate Heart, which she dictated to Jelena. We want to give ourselves to her, completely!!
Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
(Given by Our Lady to Jelena Vasilj, 11/28/1983)

O Immaculate Heart of Mary, overflowing
with goodness, Show us your love for us.
May the flame of your heart, Oh Mary,
Descend upon all peoples.
We love you immensely.
Impress in our hearts a true love.
May our hearts yearn for you.
Oh Mary, sweet and humble of heart,
Remember us when we sin.
You know that all mankind are sinners.
Through your most sacred and maternal heart,
Cure us from every spiritual illness.
Make us capable of looking at the beauty of your maternal heart,
And that, thus, we may be converted
to the flame of your heart. Amen

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

PS. Here is some interesting news that just came out yesterday, through Aleteia.
Archbishop Hoser shares significant news with us about Medjugorje's status in the Church. This is also a gift to Our Lady on her Feast Day!
Official pilgrimages to Medjugorje are being authorized, confirms Pope Francis' envoy.
By Jesús Colina | Aleteia News | Dec 07, 2017
Archbishop Henryk Hoser tells Aleteia that it still falls to the pope to make final decision on commission's report about veracity of reported apparitions.

"The devotion of Medjugorje is allowed. It's not prohibited, and need not be done in secret," confirmed Archbishop Henryk Hoser of Warsaw-Praga, Poland, now some months after being sent to Medjugorje by Pope Francis to evaluate not the veracity of the apparitions, but the state of the pastoral care being provided to the thousands of pilgrims who flock to the site every year.

Formerly, pilgrimages to the site were not to be organized by official Church groups, though the faithful could make them privately or through other organizations. Now, the stance on officially-organized pilgrimages will open.

"My mission is precisely to analyze the pastoral situation and propose improvements," the archbishop told Aleteia, about his assignment at the shrine in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has attracted millions of people since Marian apparitions reportedly began there in 1981.

"Today, dioceses and other institutions can organize official pilgrimages. It's no longer a problem," explained the archbishop, speaking to us from his residence in a Warsaw neighborhood. "Pope Francis recently asked an Albanian cardinal to give his blessing to the faithful present in Medjugorje," he added.

"I am full of admiration for the work the Franciscans are doing there," the Polish prelate reported. "With a relatively small team-there is only a dozen of them-they do a huge job of welcoming pilgrims. Every summer they organize a youth festival. This year, there were 50,000 young people from around the world, with more than 700 priests."

"There is a massive number of confessions. They have about 50 confessionals, which are not enough. These are very deep confessions," he said.

"This is a phenomenon. And what confirms the authenticity of the place is the large amount of charitable institutions that exist around the sanctuary. And another aspect as well: the great effort that is being made at the level of Christian formation. Each year, they organize conferences at different levels, for various audiences (priests, doctors, parents, young people, couples ...)"

"The decree of the former episcopal conference of what used to be Yugoslavia, which, before the Balkan war, advised against pilgrimages in Medjugorje organized by bishops, is no longer relevant," he said.

There are other cases of locations of apparitions, like Kibeho, in Rwanda, where the diocesan bishop agreed to allow the devotion, and then continued the analysis for the recognition of the apparitions.

The archbishop revealed that the conclusion of the Commission for the analysis of the apparitions of Medjugorje, which Benedict XVI had entrusted to Cardinal Camillo Ruini, appears to be favorable.

"What I find touching is that all the seers have turned to family life," Archbishop Hoser reflected. "In our day and age, the family is of enormous importance. All of them have a family. Those who were teenagers at the time, are already grandmothers; 37 years have passed!"

"But this decision will have to be made by the pope. The file is now at the Secretariat of State. I believe the final decision will be made," concluded Archbishop Hoser. Mary TV: December 7, 2017 Reflection - And to me, my children, give the gift of the Rosary.

(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2017

December 7, 2017|
St, Ambrose

Dear Family of Mary!
"And to me, my children, give the gift of the rosary, the roses which I love so much. My roses are your prayers pronounced with the heart and not only recited with the lips. My roses are your acts of prayer, faith and love. When my Son was little, he said to me that my children would be numerous and that they would bring me many roses. I did not comprehend Him. Now I know that you are those children who are bringing me roses when, above all, you love my Son, when you pray with the heart, when you help the poorest..." (December 2, 2017)

Jesus told Our Lady many things, it seems, that she could not understand because they were to happen in the future. Our Mother shares one of those little prophecies of Jesus in this message.

" When my Son was little, he said to me that my children would be numerous and that they would bring me many roses. I did not comprehend Him."

How could she know that there would be a prayer called the Rosary? How could she know that she would become our Mother, before Jesus gave her to us on the Cross? But of course she never forgot a word He told her. And so she says:

"Now I know that you are those children who are bringing me roses when, above all, you love my Son, when you pray with the heart, when you help the poorest..."

We are those children!! We bring her roses!! It is our prayer of the Rosary, prayed with the heart, prayed with love and offered for the poor souls in need of grace. How cool is that!!!
But Our Lady says that our prayer of the Rosary must not be purely exterior.

" My roses are your prayers pronounced with the heart and not only recited with the lips."

We cannot rattle off our prayers while we are totally distracted. What kind of gift is that? But we are so tempted to distraction and superficiality by our modern cultures. So we need to be taught how to pray with the heart.

Saint John Paul II did just that in one of his final Apostolic Letters, "On the Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary." I will share below some of his wise counsel on praying the Rosary correctly!!

From "On the Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary"
In effect, the Rosary is simply a method of contemplation. As a method, it serves as a means to an end and cannot become an end in itself. All the same, as the fruit of centuries of experience, this method should not be undervalued. In its favor one could cite the experience of countless Saints. This is not to say, however, that the method cannot be improved. Such is the intent of the addition of the new series of mysteria lucis to the overall cycle of mysteries and of the few suggestions which I am proposing in this Letter regarding its manner of recitation. These suggestions, while respecting the well-established structure of this prayer, are intended to help the faithful to understand it in the richness of its symbolism and in harmony with the demands of daily life. Otherwise there is a risk that the Rosary would not only fail to produce the intended spiritual effects, but even that the beads, with which it is usually said, could come to be regarded as some kind of amulet or magic object, thereby radically distorting their meaning and function.

Announcing each mystery
29. Announcing each mystery, and perhaps even using a suitable icon to portray it, is as it were to open up a scenario on which to focus our attention. The words direct the imagination and the mind towards a particular episode or moment in the life of Christ. In the Church's traditional spirituality, the veneration of icons and the many devotions appealing to the senses, as well as the method of prayer proposed by Saint Ignatius of Loyola in the Spiritual Exercises, make use of visual and imaginative elements (the compositio loci), judged to be of great help in concentrating the mind on the particular mystery. This is a methodology, moreover, which corresponds to the inner logic of the Incarnation: in Jesus, God wanted to take on human features. It is through his bodily reality that we are led into contact with the mystery of his divinity.

This need for concreteness finds further expression in the announcement of the various mysteries of the Rosary. Obviously these mysteries neither replace the Gospel nor exhaust its content. The Rosary, therefore, is no substitute for lectio divina; on the contrary, it presupposes and promotes it. Yet, even though the mysteries contemplated in the Rosary, even with the addition of the mysteria lucis, do no more than outline the fundamental elements of the life of Christ, they easily draw the mind to a more expansive reflection on the rest of the Gospel, especially when the Rosary is prayed in a setting of prolonged recollection.

Listening to the word of God
30. In order to supply a Biblical foundation and greater depth to our meditation, it is helpful to follow the announcement of the mystery with the proclamation of a related Biblical passage, long or short, depending on the circumstances. No other words can ever match the efficacy of the inspired word. As we listen, we are certain that this is the word of God, spoken for today and spoken "for me".

If received in this way, the word of God can become part of the Rosary's methodology of repetition without giving rise to the ennui derived from the simple recollection of something already well known. It is not a matter of recalling information but of allowing God to speak. In certain solemn communal celebrations, this word can be appropriately illustrated by a brief commentary.

Silence
31. Listening and meditation are nourished by silence. After the announcement of the mystery and the proclamation of the word, it is fitting to pause and focus one's attention for a suitable period of time on the mystery concerned, before moving into vocal prayer. A discovery of the importance of silence is one of the secrets of practicing contemplation and meditation. One drawback of a society dominated by technology and the mass media is the fact that silence becomes increasingly difficult to achieve. Just as moments of silence are recommended in the Liturgy, so too in the recitation of the Rosary it is fitting to pause briefly after listening to the word of God, while the mind focuses on the content of a particular mystery.

St. John Paul II, please pray for us to learn to pray ever more deeply this wonderful prayer of the Rosary. We want to give our Mother many roses!!!

Tomorrow is the great Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary! May we give her many roses tomorrow and always!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mary TV: December 6, 2017 Reflection - "I turn to you as your mother."

(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2017

December 6, 2017
St. Nicholas

Dear Family of Mary!
"Dear children, I turn to you as your mother, the mother of the just, the mother of those who love and suffer, the mother of those who are holy. My children, you too can be holy - this depends on you. Those who are holy are those who immeasurably love the Heavenly Father, those who love Him above all. Therefore, my children, always strive to be better. If you strive to be good you can be holy even though you may not think so of yourselves. If you think that you are good, you are not humble, and arrogance distances you from holiness. In this peaceless world full of threats, your hands, apostles of my love, should be extended in prayer and mercy..." (December 2, 2017)

Our Lady says she is turning to us as our mother. Have you ever had your earthly mother turn to you? I remember some of the times I as a mother turned to one of my children. They were times when I really needed help. I would look one of my children in the eyes and ask him or her to "Please set the table, now!" or "Go find your brother, he is loose in the neighborhood." When I turned to one of my children, they knew I meant business!

I think Our Lady means business too! She is turning to us in this Advent time, and looking us in the eye and saying "Strive to be better! If you strive to be good you can be holy even though you may not think so of yourselves." She needs us to be just, to love and suffer and to be holy! She needs us to back her up! She is in a gigantic fight for souls, and she needs us to be her back up team!!

She also warns us that if we think we are already good, we are in trouble. The first complacent thought we have should be stamped out! Pride and complacency lead us away from holiness. And she needs her children to be apostles of love through prayer and mercy.

In 1936 Our Lady turned to another of her special children, St. Faustina, and asked her to prepare for the Feast of Christmas in a special way, much like Our Lady has done for us. Here is St. Faustina heard:

November 29, [1936]. The Mother of God has taught me how to prepare for the Feast of Christmas. I saw Her today, without the Infant Jesus. She said to me:
My daughter, strive after silence and humility, so that Jesus, who dwells in your heart continuously, may be able to rest. Adore Him in your heart; do not go out from your inmost being. My daughter, I shall obtain for you the grace of an interior life which will be such that, without ever leaving that interior life, you will be able to carry out all your external duties with even greater care. Dwell with Him continuously in your own heart. He will be your strength. Communicate with creatures only in so far as is necessary and is required by your duties. You are a dwelling place pleasing to the living God, in you He dwells continuously with love and delight. And the living presence of God, which you experience in a more vivid and distinct way, will confirm you, my daughter, in the things I have told you. Try to act in this way until Christmas Day, and then He himself will make known to you in what way you will be communing and uniting yourself with Him. (Diary 785)

This beautiful teaching from Our Mother to St. Faustina may help us in our striving to be holy. The interior life that Our Lady taught St. Faustina is exactly what we need! To be holy we need to be filled with Jesus, aware of His presence and in love with Him. So beautiful!

Two days until the Feast of the Immaculate Conception!! Wow!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mary TV: December 4, 2017 Reflection - Start Advent with Confession!

(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2017

December 5, 2017

Dear Family of Mary!
November 25, 2002 "Dear children! I call you also today to conversion. Open your heart to God, little children, through Holy Confession and prepare your soul so that little Jesus can be born anew in your heart. Permit Him to transform you and lead you on the way of peace and joy. Little children, decide for prayer. Especially now, in this time of grace, may your heart yearn for prayer. I am close to you and intercede before God for all of you. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Advent is a time of conversion. We turn our attention to the coming of Jesus as our Infant King. And our impulse is to prepare ourselves for His coming, through conversion. How can I make Jesus more the center of my life? How can I turn more and more to Him? In this message, Our Lady tells us to start with Confession.

As I was praying about this, I turned to St. Faustina's Diary and found this very helpful entry. It is about Confession. She wrote:

Concerning Holy Confession. We should derive two kinds of profit from Holy Confession:
1. We come to confession to be healed;
2. We come to be educated-like a small child, our soul has constant need of education.

0 my Jesus, I understand these words to their very depths, and I know from my own experience that, on its own strength, the soul will not go far; it will exert itself greatly and will do nothing for the glory of God; it will err continually, because our mind is darkened and does not know how to discern its own affairs. I shall pay special attention to two things: firstly, I will choose, in making my confession, that which humiliates me most, even if it be a trifle, but something that costs me much, and for that reason I will tell it; secondly, I will practice contrition, not only during confession, but during every self-examination, and I will arouse within myself an act of perfect contrition, especially when I am going to bed. One more word: a soul which sincerely wants to advance in perfection must observe strictly the advice given by the spiritual director. There is as much holiness as there is dependence. (Diary 377)
Don't you love St. Faustina's understanding of Confession?

We come to Confession to be healed!! Do we actually believe this? We come to Confession to be healed. It is a miracle of love. Jesus removes the sins from our hearts. He removes the guilt and the shame. And He renovates our hearts with words of blessing and healing. He speaks words through the priest that will transform us, free us, change us! Confession is the Sacrament of healing!

And Confession provides education. We have all heard of the "Teachable Moment". When a child makes a mistake, the parent can use that mistake as a way to give the child the tools he or she needs to succeed next time. Well, in Confession the priest has us at a teachable moment. We have confessed our sins, our failings, and we are acutely aware that something needs to change. At that moment the priest may teach us something about the spiritual life that will help us going forward in life, and if he doesn't, Jesus will. Jesus will speak to us somehow to take advantage of our teachable moment. We will learn about how much He loves us!! We will see how His love will make things different, if we accept it!

So, Confession during Advent is fantastic!! Let's go to Confession as much as we can before Christmas! We want to be healed and taught so that we can rush to the stable to adore our Lord with abandon!!

Mary TV: December 4, 2017 Reflection - Pray for those who have not come to know Jesus

Dear Family of Mary!

"...Therefore, apostles of my love, pray for those who do not know how to love, for those who do not love you, for those who have done evil to you, for those who have not come to know the love of my Son. My children, I ask this of you because, remember, to pray means to love and to forgive..." (December 2, 2017)

These are the final words of Our Lady's December 2, 2017 message. They struck me deeply. Here we are at the very beginning of Advent. It is a special time of year, when we learn again to await the coming of the Messiah. We wait with all the patriarchs and prophets, all the holy men and women who believed God would send the Anointed One to save them. We wait with them with expectant faith for the coming of Him who will come at the end of ends.

And we wait with Our Lady, as she carried Jesus in her womb, as she traveled to Bethlehem, as she waited to give birth to Jesus, the long awaited One.

I feel that Our Lady is asking us as a prayer group to take on one of the things she is interceding for in this time of waiting. She has asked us many times to pray for "Those who have not come to know the love of Jesus." These souls are the source of so much sorrow for Our Lady. She prays for them constantly, that they will open up to the love of Jesus, and find peace. I believe Our Lady wants us to join her in this intercession during Advent, as a special work of mercy.

It just struck me that maybe we could help Our Lady. I felt this very strongly on Saturday (Dec 2). And then on Sunday (Dec 3) I received a remarkable email from Patty, one of our shipmates, in which she shares something she received in prayer from Jesus that confirms our call to intercede for those who have not come to know the love of Jesus. Patty wrote:

I want to share the words I heard from Jesus today because I think it flows from this message to all of us.

"I invite you with all seriousness to walk with my Mother this Advent. Every day. Every night. Every moment. Do not leave her side. You need each other. Does this surprise you? My Mother needs you; her journey is a very difficult one. She desires to give birth in the heart of every person. And, while many refuse her, she remains in their midst.

You be with her. Comfort her as she waits to give birth to My Presence in each person's life.

Be her messenger. Go out and tell each person about her, especially go to those whose lives are too full but also empty. They do have room for her! Ask them if she might come and stay and give birth.

It is necessary to travel with her though. You become like those with whom you journey. I am inviting you: Travel with my pregnant Mother this Advent. Remember the limits of time and space do not exist with us. You are being asked to be with her as she and Joseph travel to the place of my birth. Accompany us."

I wish I could convey the message as I heard it and saw it. It was not a symbolic invitation. It is a mystical invitation to actually journey with Mary and Joseph on the road to Bethlehem, through the towns, to the stable. Every moment this journey, this focus.... Peace in, with, and through Jesus and Mary, Patty

I find this image of staying close to Mary, traveling with her, staying in her company, praying with her for those who do not know Jesus, to be very compelling. I believe it is a precious call from Jesus to help Our Lady as she seeks out those who need Jesus to be born in their hearts.

May we walk with our Mother, comforting her, easing her pain and strengthening her prayer with our own, so that many, many souls will open the doors of their hearts and let Jesus be born in them.

Mary TV: December 2, 2017 Message from Our Lady, Queen of Peace

Mirjana encounters Our Lady, December 2, 2017
(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2017

December 2, 2017

Dear Family of Mary!

Here is the December 2 2017 Message from Our Lady, Queen of Peace, given through Mirjana:

Dear children, I turn to you as your mother, the mother of the just, the mother of those who love and suffer, the mother of those who are holy. In this peaceless world full of threats, your hands, apostles of my love, should be extended in prayer and mercy.
And to me, my children, give the gift of the rosary, the roses which I love so much. My roses are your prayers pronounced with the heart and not only recited with the lips. My roses are your acts of prayer, faith and love. When my Son was little, he said to me that my children would be numerous and that they would bring me many roses. I did not comprehend Him. Now I know that you are those children who are bringing me roses when, above all, you love my Son, when you pray with the heart, when you help the poorest.
Those are my roses. That is the faith which makes everything in life be done through love, not knowing arrogance, and always ready to forgive; never judging, always striving to understand one's brother. Therefore, apostles of my love, pray for those who do not know how to love, for those who do not love you, for those who have done evil to you, for those who have not come to know the love of my Son. My children, I ask this of you because, remember, to pray means to love and to forgive. Thank you. (December 2, 2017)

Mary TV: December 1, 2017 Reflection - "My Words will not pass away."

(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2017
December 1, 2017

Dear Family of Mary!
"Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away." (Lk 21:33)

Jesus' words, found in Holy Scripture, are eternal. They teach us how to live now, in this life, in this moment, so that we will find ourselves one day in Heaven for eternity. They introduce that which is indestructible into our very fragile lives. Jesus' words are Truth. They will not be contradicted. They will last forever, always the Truth! How powerful are the Words of Christ!!

Our Lady gave us a powerful message about God's Word in which she encouraged us to draw ever closer to it! You can feel her deep desire that each of us embrace the Word of God and make it the center of our being. She knows that God's Word will be our strength, a strength that we need in these most difficult days. She told us:

September 02, 2013 "Dear children, I love you all. All of you, all of my children, all of you are in my heart. All of you have my motherly love, and I desire to lead all of you to come to know God's joy. This is why I am calling you. I need humble apostles who, with an open heart, will accept the Word of God and help others to comprehend the meaning of their life alongside God's word. To be able to do this my children, through prayer and fasting, you must learn to listen with the heart and to learn to keep submitting yourselves. You must learn to keep rejecting everything that distances you from God's word and to yearn only for that which draws you closer to it. Do not be afraid. I am here. You are not alone. I am imploring the Holy Spirit to renew and strengthen you. I am imploring the Holy Spirit that, as you help others, you too may be healed. I am imploring Him that, through Him, you may be God's children and my apostles."

What a beautiful message this is! Our Lady tells us that she loves ALL of us!! ALL! And in that love she desires to bring us to the Word of God.

She tells us we will need to be humble and have open hearts if we want to accept the Word of God. We will need to pray and fast in order to listen with the heart and learn to submit to God's Word out of love. We will need to choose to come closer to God's Word, rejecting all that would lead us away from it. And we will need to trust her, and not be afraid.

Coming close to God's Word can be frightening, because His Word demands a change in us. We see our mistakes, failures and sins in the light of God's Word. But she wants us to have courage, so she is with us to help us!! She is imploring the Holy Spirit to help us. She wants us the adhere to the Words of Jesus that will not pass away!

Reading Scripture daily is a very important part of our walk with Jesus and Mary! The more we read the Word of God, the more the Holy Spirit can shine His light into our hearts. The Words of Jesus are lights that shine into our personal reality, bringing a depth of understanding to our actions and our situations that we can only marvel at. How can the words spoken by Jesus 2000 years ago be so applicable to our time, our lives, our problems and our needs? It is because they are eternal! The Eternal One who made us knows exactly how we tick. He knows everything, and can solve the most difficult situation with just a phrase or a parable. Scripture is amazing!!!

Let's take Our Lady's words to heart, and draw close to Jesus' Words!! Heaven and earth will pass away, but Jesus' words will not pass away!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

PS. Tomorrow Mirjana will encounter Our Lady, and hopefully will receive a message for us. Mary TV will share the video of that encounter later that day, and I will send out the message as soon as I can. We are at the end of the Liturgical Year. May this new Church Year bring unimagined blessing and graces to us and the whole world!!

Mary TV: November 30, 2017 Reflection -He, my Son, your Brother, is calling you...

(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2017

November 30, 2017
St. Andrew, Apostle

Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children! In this time of grace, I call you to prayer. Pray and seek peace, little children. He who came here on earth to give you His peace, regardless of who you are and what you are - He, my Son, your Brother - through me is calling you to conversion, because without God you do not have a future or eternal life. Therefore, believe and pray and live in grace and the expectation of your personal meeting with Him. Thank you for having responded to my call." (November 25, 2017)

This is the feast of St. Andrew, Apostle! St. Andrew heard Jesus' call, along with his brother Simon, at the very beginnings of Jesus' public ministry. St. Andrew answered that call with his whole life, with total abandon. He also brought many others to Jesus, so that they could hear Jesus' call in their life.

Jesus is calling us through Our Lady, calling us to conversion, calling us to pray, calling us to know that without Him we have no future or eternal life. Jesus is calling us just as He called Andrew. This should make us very joyful. Jesus is calling us, now, in this day. It is not a story, an idea, a hopeful thought. No, it is the real Jesus who is calling us through His real Mother!

I want to quote something that St. Faustina wrote about Jesus and His real presence and call in her day, His saving activity in her time. She seemed to understand this same reality, that it is the real Jesus who is calling her and working for her salvation and the salvation of the whole world.

O inconceivable goodness of God, which shields us at every step, may Your mercy be praised without cease. That You became a brother to humans, not to angels, is a miracle of the unfathomable mystery of Your mercy. All our trust is in You, our first-born Brother, Jesus Christ, true God and true Man. My heart flutters with joy to see how good God is to us wretched and ungrateful people. And as a proof of His love, He gives us the incomprehensible gift of Himself in the person of His Son. Throughout all eternity we shall never exhaust that mystery of love. O mankind, why do you think so little about God being truly among us? O Lamb of God, I do not know what to admire in You first: Your gentleness, Your hidden life, the emptying of Yourself for the sake of man, or the constant miracle of Your mercy, which transforms souls and raises them up to eternal life. Although You are hidden in this way, Your omnipotence is more manifest here than in the creation of man. Though the omnipotence of Your mercy is at work in the justification of the sinner, yet Your action is gentle and hidden. (Diary, 1584)

"All of our trust is in You, our first born Brother, Jesus Christ, true God and true Man!!"

"O mankind, why do you think so little about God being truly among us?"

"O Lamb of God, I do not know what to admire in You first: Your gentleness, Your hidden life, the emptying of Yourself for the sake of man, or the constant miracle of Your mercy, which transforms souls and raises them up to eternal life."

St. Faustina lived in the reality of Jesus' presence and His call. We do too, even if we don't perceive it all the time. But through prayer, we can!

November 29, 2017 Reflection -Therefore, believe and pray and live in grace and the expectation of your personal meeting with Him.

(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2017

November 29, 2017

Dear Family of Mary!
"Dear children! In this time of grace, I call you to prayer. Pray and seek peace, little children. He who came here on earth to give you His peace, regardless of who you are and what you are - He, my Son, your Brother - through me is calling you to conversion, because without God you do not have a future or eternal life. Therefore, believe and pray and live in grace and the expectation of your personal meeting with Him. Thank you for having responded to my call." November 25, 2017

"And so, from the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, to lead a life worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.

"He has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation; for in him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or authorities -- all things were created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. He is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the first-born from the dead, that in everything he might be pre-eminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.

"And you, who once were estranged and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and irreproachable before him, provided that you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which has been preached to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister."
