Dear Family of Mary!
"Dear children! Be prayer and a reflection of God's love for all those who are far from God and God's commandments. Little children, be faithful and determined in conversion and work on yourselves so that, for you, holiness of life may be truth; and encourage each other in the good through prayer, so that your life on earth may be more pleasant. Thank you for having responded to my call." (July 25, 2017)

"Be prayer..."
What does it mean to "be prayer"? Prayer is a noun that denotes an action - to pray. Prayer is an act of communicating with God. So how can we be "an act of communicating with God." Well, it would seem that if we pray almost continuously we might become prayer! The act of praying constantly begins to define who we are.

Certainly we would all like to be prayer. But is it possible? I found these entries in the Catechism of the Catholic Church that give us a little idea of how we can pray a lot, throughout our day.

"Today"
2659 We learn to pray at certain moments by hearing the Word of the Lord and sharing in his Paschal mystery, but his Spirit is offered us at all times, in the events of each day, to make prayer spring up from us. Jesus' teaching about praying to our Father is in the same vein as his teaching about providence:12 time is in the Father's hands; it is in the present that we encounter him, not yesterday nor tomorrow, but today: "O that today you would hearken to his voice! Harden not your hearts."
2660 Prayer in the events of each day and each moment is one of the secrets of the kingdom revealed to "little children," to the servants of Christ, to the poor of the Beatitudes. It is right and good to pray so that the coming of the kingdom of justice and peace may influence the march of history, but it is just as important to bring the help of prayer into humble, everyday situations; all forms of prayer can be the leaven to which the Lord compares the kingdom.
I like this simple explanation. We have only now, this moment, for sure. And in each moment we can choose to relate to God, to call out to Him, to praise and thank Him, to ask Him into our lives. This is how we become prayer. Moment by moment!

Our Lady gave us another message about being prayer. It is a beautiful invitation to be prayer!

August 25, 2015 "Dear children! Also today I am calling you to be prayer. May prayer be for you the wings for an encounter with God. The world is in a moment of trial, because it forgot and abandoned God. Therefore, you, little children, be those who seek and love God above all. I am with you and I am leading you to my Son, but you must say your 'yes' in the freedom of children of God. I intercede for you and I love you, little children, with an endless love. Thank you for having responded to my call."

May we seek and love God above all. Then moment by moment we will pray!
