| Fr. Bozada – Lazarus in Our Lives Today My Dear People,  Lazarus and the Rich Man What does Lazarus represent for us in the Gospel? He images the invisible poor who are always present in our midst. On street corners begging for money, at Agape House looking for furniture, with St. Vincent de Paul asking for rent money; the poor we will always have among us. But how much do we allow are hearts to be touched by the poor? It is easier to pretend we don’t see them? Are we praying for the needs of the poor; and how are we meeting the challenge to assist them? These are difficult questions. It is much easier to say that we have “enough” problems of our own. Why add more to the list? Even Our Lord kept money aside to aide the poor. Judas was accused of stealing from the kitty for them. So what can we do? The extra clothes we never wear, the furniture stuffed in the garage, the extra canned goods on our shelves; could not these be shared with the needy in our midst? If we make a habit of caring for the poor, we will never be outdone by our generosity in God’s eyes. Please pray that you may grow in love for the poor in our midst. I urge you, little children, to speak less and to work more on your personal conversion so that your witness may be fruitful. And may your life be unceasing prayer. Thank you for having responded to my call."
"Work more on your personal conversion so that your witness may be fruitful." We don't always associate our witness with our personal conversion. Our witness seems public, but our conversion seems more private, between me and God. And yet our witness will bear good fruit only if our conversion is real. So they are tied together. One such conversion that is bearing incredible fruit is Craig Lodge in Scotland. The MacFarlane-Barrow family went to Medjugorje in the early 80's and their whole life changed. They began a house of prayer on their property, and soon hundreds of people were coming to Craig Lodge to pray and find the peace they lacked. Out of this prayer and peace came an initiative called "Mary's Meals". Today through SIR (Scotland International Relief) over ½ million starving children all over the world are fed at school every day. Talk about fruit. This morning after Mass we restarted our Marian Movement of Priests Prayer Cenacle at St. Mary of the Lakes Parish in Eustis, Florida.
Normally, we would have the meeting down in the church hall, which is below the main church building but I found out just yesterday that the Thursday Bible Study Group was meeting there at 8:45 AM. What confused me was that the location of the Bible Study Group was listed in the church bulletin as being held in the church Center, which is in another building, where the Religious Education classes are held.
We had four of us, three men and one lady, today and we held our Cenacle in the church, sitting in the pews near the tabernacle. Actually, I liked this better because we were in the Lord’s Presence while we prayed and also we could gaze on the large statue of Our Lady of Grace which is in the far side of the church. Also behind the altar is a large stained glass picture of Jesus, Mary and Joseph on the road to Egypt, guided by a Angel. This is also another treat for the eyes and good for meditations.
Our format consists of: A hymn to the Holy Spirit, the Holy Rosary, Prayers for the Pope and his intentions, 3 hail Mary’s for Fr. Gobbi and all priests, especially our pastor and his assistants, a reading from the book, “To The Priests, Our Lady’s beloved Sons,” (All the Messages of Our Lady to Fr. Gobbi from 1973 to 1997), a short meditation by me, a short fraternal chat amongst us about the Message read, the Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Prayer, and ending with the hymn “Immaculate Mary.”
I was overjoyed to be with these prayer warriors and I know Our lady was happy too, because She is the one who requested that we should have these Prayer Cenacles everywhere, in churches and in homes. Families can gather to pray, especially Our Lady wants the children to be involved and even have Cenacles just for them.
I would love to have any of you who can get to St. Mary's on Thursday mornings, to join us in our prayers and consecration. For those of you who live far away from Central Florida, why not start a Cenacle where you are, in your home or church. Remember to get your pastors permission to start a group in church. At home or a friends home, you don't need one. It's important to have a priest or deacon moderator or spiritual guide but not necessary to start a Cenacle. Only a priest or deacon can give a meditation after the reading of the Message. You can get a Blue Book and other materials free at http://www.mmp-usa.net/main.html

Vatican City, Sep 29, 2010 / 10:00 am (CNA/EWTN News).- Greeting the faithful in a variety of tongues during todays general audience, the Holy Father addressed matters from world crises to a recently beatified teenager. He also emphasized the day's celebration of the archangels, inviting the faithful to turn to the spiritual beings for assistance.
The Pope addressed the faithful in a total of 13 individual languages during the occasion in St. Peter's Square. In six of these languages, he provided a catechesis on St. Matilda, while in the other seven he provided a short greeting and assured the faithful of his prayers.
In French, the Holy Father said that he was happy to welcome a group of Haitian pilgrims to Rome and told them that he "continues to carry the Haitian people in his prayers, asking God to relieve their misery." He expressed hope that the more than 50 Haitians in attendance would lead the countrys citizens to a greater personal relationship with Christ.
Turning to the humanitarian crisis caused by flooding in northern Nigeria, the Holy Father assured all of those affected, including the approximately two million who have fled their homes, of his spiritual closeness and prayers.
Of Czech Catholic attendees, he asked that they remain "ever faithful to the spiritual inheritance" of their patron and historical "giant" St. Wenceslaus, whose feast day was celebrated on Tuesday.
Turning to Slovakians, he said that the Marian month of October will soon be here and encouraged the faithful to follow her example to be "always ready to fulfill the will of God".
Rounding out the variety of addresses, he spoke in Italian, greeting participants in a Focolare Movement pilgrimage for last Saturday's beatification of Blessed Chiara "Luce" Badano. He invited them to follow in the young blessed's example, to continue her "commitment of adhesion to Christ and of evangelical witness."
Blessed Chiara's parents were able to greet the Pope personally after the audience.
Concluding in the same language, he greeted all young people, sick and newlyweds, recognizing Wednesday's celebration of the Feast of the Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael and the coming celebration of that for Guardian Angels.
These angels, he said, "push us to think of the provident attention with which God occupies himself of every human person.
"Feel beside you, dear young people, the presence of the Angels and let yourself be guided by them, so that all your lives might be illuminated by the Word of God. You, dear sick, helped by your Guardian Angels, unite your sufferings to those of Christ for the spiritual renewal of human society.
"And you, dear newlyweds," he said in conclusion, "turn often to the help of your Guardian Angels, so that you might grow in constant witness to an authentic love."

St. Michael, St. Raphael, St. Gabriel, Archangels Dear Family of Mary!"Dear children! Thank you for having responded to my call." (September 25, 2010) Working on our personal conversion is not all that pleasant a task. We have to examine our conduct and search our hearts to see if we are anything like our beloved Jesus. It is a difficult task. Something like sitting in the line for confession and begging the Holy Spirit to show us our sins! But what elation when we meet the Lord in the person of the confessor and admit it all to Him. We discover what true mercy is! Last Sunday at Mass, Fr. Kevin shared this marvelous story. It has stuck with me, so I am passing it on to all of you. It really shows the depths of depravity to which we can fall and the incredible mercy of God. "The Parable of the Onion"

Have we given our onion yet? Or is the deed waiting to be done? Have we gotten in the habit of giving onions? Only then will we be able to grasp the Hand of God and be pulled into heaven! Also, notice the role of the guardian angel in this story!! This is the feast of the Archangels, and they along with our guardian angels are always working on our behalf. Let's call on them today and every day for guidance and protection. Maybe they will show us the onions we need to give away today!

R. Our Catholic Church is One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic instituted by Christ to give grace. Sanctifying grace is a sharing in His life, life is in Him. It is freely given to us by God out of His great love for us. We have a human nature. God gives His grace.
God gives us grace in His goodness. We have a free will to accept it or reject God's grace. God can give us special graces to help us avoid sin.
His grace is released in the sacraments. Man is happy when he is following God's will and in a state of grace. If we are to be happy we must follow the will of the Father.

Thank you for having responded to my call."(September 25, 2010) Mother Mary urges us to live our life of faith even more. I confess I had to think about that. What is my life of faith? (I journaled about this, and here is what I heard. Remember, this is just my journal, nothing big.) Me: Can you help me, Lord, to understand? What is my life of faith?
The Lord: When you wake in the morning, what do you think of first?
Well I think of how early it is, and how tired I am, and how hard it is to get out of bed.
Yes, and what do you do then?
I ask you for help.
Right. I hear you say, "Oh Lord, help me! I can't do this!" Then I send you help. I fill your heart with my courage. I give you hopeful thoughts of what a good day it could be. I send my love into your heart, which gives you the desire to serve your family.
Why, yes you do!
Well, that is the life of faith.
Oh, I see.And when you sit down to your computer to work, what do you think of first?
Well usually it is about the accounting work I have to do and how I don't understand it.
And then what do you do?
I tell you, "Lord I need your help. I don't understand this stuff."
Right! And then what happens?
I get an idea, and it works out and the work gets done.
Ok, so you depend on me, and the work gets done!
Yes!
Well that is the life of faith.
Oh, yes.And when you have to prepare dinner, what do you do?
Well I usually look in the pantry to see what we have, and then I just say, "Lord, I just don't know what to cook for dinner."
And ---
Then you give me a great idea using the ingredients I have!
Well that is the life of faith.
Ok, I think I am catching on.And when it is time to write the reflection what do you do?
Oh, yes, I know this answer! I pray, because usually I haven't a clue what to write about the messages.
Yes, and what happens?
Somehow you get through my thick skull, and give me an idea that works out ok.
Yes, I anoint something in Scripture or I give you a memory or a picture in your head, or you get a great email from someone. Those are all my gifts to you.
Wow, that's true. It is always a gift.
Well, that's the life of faith.
Got it! Every moment of my day is too big for me to handle. But if I call on You, You come and help me with your grace. That is living a life of faith. It is faith that You love me and care about every detail of my life, and that You are listening to me, no matter how little the need is, and You answer me.
Yes. That is the life of faith. It is a life of you and Me together. I love you so much and I am happy that you depend on me. You love me and trust me enough to ask for help. I love you and you love Me, and we work together to bring life and love to others. It is a joyful life, isn't it?
Lord, it is the best of lives. You are awesome!
Little one, for me it is a joy as well. (I hope you all get the idea as well. Our lives are lives of faith, because it is only in God that we live! He is our help and our shield, our support and our comfort, our only hope! What a joy it is to have a life of faith!) In Jesus and Mary!Cathy Nolan
