A musical composition, celebratory and catechetical, on the suffering of the innocents, and in particular, on the “innocent” suffering of the Mother of God. The signature is that of Kiko Arguello founder of the Neo-catechumenal Way. The symphony was performed at the Auditorium of the House of Galilee in Korazim by 150 spanish musicians, all professionals and members of the Way, who had already performed the symphony before the Pope, in Rome, last month.
In his experience as an atheist convert, Kiko tells us of having found that in the suffering of the innocents there is a clear response to Christ crucified. And when we ask which suffering innocents he has especially in mind, he responds: “all of them, . . . the poor with whom he has lived in the barracks, the people destroyed and abandoned that die from the cold in the streets, and at Auschwitz”.
KIKO ARGÜELLO, Founder of the Neo-catechumenal Way: “There is horror in the world, but we can say that Christ entered into the gas chambers . . . with the Jews . . .”
Touching passages, music which is moving and speaks to the heart . . . of everyone. A kind of symphonic celebration which allows one to live profoundly the Word of God and the encounter with the Virgin, through music.
KIKO ARGÜELLO, Founder of the Neo-catechumenal Way: “I am very impressed by the Virgin who stands under the Innocent par excellence, who is our suffering Lord, and I wanted to make this moment present . . . the idea of the sword which pierces her soul . . .”.

A symphony that puts to music all the suffering of the innocents and, in particular, the suffering of the Virgin, but also the hope. And so if the sound of the harp is meant to represent the tears of Mary, a white voice is the angel that sustains her . . .
KIKO ARGÜELLO, Founder of the Neo-catechumenal Way: “And then at the end the whole assembly sings Mother of God, you are the Mother of God, hope for all . . .”.
