Novena Leading Up to the Annual Feasts of The Sacred Heart of Jesus
and The Immaculate Heart of Mary
Beginning on June 22, 2011, the Feast of Saint John Fisher and Saint Thomas More, continuing for the next eight (8) days, the last day being June 30, 2011, we ask those interested in the devotion to Our Lady of America, The Immaculate Co-Redemptrix, to pray a twenty-decade full Rosary , as you are able each day, with all or some of the daily full Rosary prayed before The Most Blessed Sacrament, if possible. The main intention is to encourage and to strengthen those Catholic bishops important to advancing this devotion to Our Lady originally sponsored by Cincinnati Archbishop Paul Francis Leibold. This novena will prepare for the annual feast days of The Sacred Heart of Jesus [July 1st, 2011] and of The Immaculate Heart of Mary [July 2nd, 2011]. These "moveable" feast days are normally held in June on a Friday and a Saturday: [These occur on the Friday after the octave of the Feast of Corpus Christi and on the Saturday after the Second Sunday after Pentecost, respectively.] Triple Significance of July 1st, 2011
This particular annual feast of The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is also the regular feast of The Most Precious Blood of Jesus, which is normally observed on July 1st each year. In addition, July 1, 2011, is the First Friday of July, thus the monthly day to make reparations to The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. "O Most Precious Blood and Water which gushed forth from The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus as a Fount of Mercy for us, we trust in You and we make reparations for the sins, offenses and negligences committed against You." Annual Feast of The Immaculate Heart of Mary and Also First Saturday of July
Likewise, Saturday, July 2nd, 2011, is both the annual Feast of The Immaculate Heart of Mary and the First Saturday of July. On these days, Friday, July 1st, and Saturday, July 2nd, make reparations to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, as indicated, and let us be especially mindful of our desire that the Catholic Bishops of the United States of America may soon respond fully to the call of Our Lady of America, She who desires so much to bring the virtue of purity to the people of America and all over the World. In this regard, you may wish to recall the Sacrament of Penance (Reconciliation) by private individual Confession as part of these spiritual exercises honoring The Hearts of Jesus and Mary.
