June 3, 2011: Our Lady prays for peace tonight

Our Lady Queen of Peace of Medjugorje’s June 3, 2011 Prayer Group Apparition to Ivan on Apparition Mountain at 10:00 P.M.
It was a beautiful evening in Medjugorje this evening. Pilgrims began to gather on top of Apparition Mountain as early as 6:00 p.m. for Ivan’s Prayer Group Apparition at 10:00 p.m. By 8:00 p.m., a steady flow of pilgrims were finding their way up Apparition Mountain to a spot where they could settle down and quiet their hearts for the meeting with Our Lady. There were several small groups of pilgrims who were quietly praying together, as well as many pilgrims who were off by themselves to prayer in preparation for the apparition tonight. After over ½ hour of singing, Ivan began to pray the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary. Then all grew quiet as it was time for Ivan’s apparition. Our Lady appeared around 10:00 p.m. and the apparition lasted several minutes. The following is Ivan’s description of the apparition.
“Today, the most important from the meeting with Our Lady is that Our Lady came very joyful and happy and, at the beginning, She greeted us all with Her Motherly greeting, “Praised be Jesus, my dear children.”
Our Lady then, with Her arms extended, prayed for a longer while over all of us here. In a special way tonight, She prayed over the sick present and She blessed in a special way all of us with Her Motherly blessing. She also blessed the religious articles brought for blessing. Then Our Lady prayed in a special way for a longer while for peace, for peace in the world and in the families. I recommended all of you, your needs, your intentions, your families and especially the sick. Our Lady then continued to pray over all of us here. She left in that prayer, in an illuminated Sign of the Cross with a greeting, “Go in peace, my dear children.”
Our Lady prayed for peace tonight, June 3, 2011, on top of Apparition Mountain in Medjugorje. The rough hewn rocks are uncomfortable to sit upon, but when one is seeking peace, and an encounter with the Queen of Peace, uncomfortable conditions do not bear too heavily upon the decision to be with Our Lady. Tonight, Her prayer was for peace—something all of us are in desperate need of in our hearts, in our families, and in our world.
We read in Scripture that during King Asa’s reign, Ethiopians invaded his country with an enemy that greatly outnumbered his own army. Asa went out to meet the Ethiopians in battle array. He called upon God before the battle:
“O Lord, there is none like you to help the powerless against the strong. Help us, O Lord, our God, for we rely on you, and in your name we have come against this multitude. You are the Lord, our God; let no man prevail against you.’ And so the Lord defeated the Ethiopians before Asa and Judah, and they fled.” 2 Chronicles 14:10-11
Peace doesn’t come from your armaments. It’s not going to come from having a lot of land and moving people out that’s against you. It’s not that way. God gives peace. It’s got to come through Him not you. Reliance on God brings peace. King Asa said:
“We have sought the Lord our God; we sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side.” 2 Chronicles 14:6

Homes from the village of Medjugorje are nestled at the foot of Cross Mountain, and while the sun sets on this night of June 3, 2011, peace is tangibly experienced—a gift from Our Lady, not only on this night, but for the past 30 years, for all those who want to seek after it.
“Give me your undivided heart.” The whole message of Our Lady these past 30 years says that. Be undivided. Are we divided? Do we do everything here with an undivided heart? Holy and completely for Our Lady?...There is one goal here, and that is the accomplishment of what Our Lady has given to us…It’s not time to relax. It’s a time to rely more on God. A time to become more holy. A time to sanctify. A time to bring peace into our families. If there is no prayer in the family, there is no peace…It’s not an excuse because you are tired and everybody’s ready to go to bed that we go to bed. We end our day with God. We begin our day with God. And you’ll be able to deal with tiredness or injuries or struggles or sickness much better if you pray than if you don’t, because you will have God’s presence. It is a guarantee. If it was a guarantee in the Old Testament, it’s a double guarantee in the New Testament because we have more than what they had. We have the Virgin Mary, and we have salvation and redemption through the Cross of Jesus and through His Blood.
