"May the angels lead you into paradise; may the martyrs come to welcome you and come to take you to the holy city, the new and eternal Jerusalem. May the choirs of angels welcome you and lead you to the bosom of Abraham; and where Lazarus is poor no longer, may you have eternal rest." Fr. Stefano Gobbi (March 22, 1930 - June 29, 2011) May of 1992, finding myself in an apartment, crying my eyes out because at last I had found the grace (through the powerful intervention of Our Lady of Guadalupe) to be reconciled with the church by returning to the sacraments, I was inspired to begin a Marian Movement of Priests cenacle. In prayer I was led to set aside Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. to hold this prayer cenacle. I had attended a few cenacle's held by another woman where I lived at the time, at the invitation of a dear friend of mine. I cannot explain the POWER I felt in those prayer meetings. So I said to Our Lady, "Mother Mary, I give you this time, and it matters not if no one comes, this time I dedicate to you to pray as you have requested." I only had a few church friends and so I invited them to come....the rules of the cenacle I hosted for Our Lady was, "Do not knock...just come on in...." and on that first Tuesday morning....it was a little past eleven in the morning and I was already kneeling with my 2 small children to pray the MMP cenacle...it was disheartening! No one came...but I had made the promise...so we began to pray, my children and I. Then I heard the door open and close...and again....and again....and so grew that first MMP prayer cenacle. We had a powerful group because everyone there was there to respond to the requests of Our Lady to begin THE CENACLE SO SHE COULD THEN INTERCEDE ON OUR BEHALF AND PROTECT US. Protect us from what I wondered at the time.... Then I heard Fr. Sylvester Catallo, at one time the interpreter of Fr. Gobbi when he would travel the USA (and another priest also taken out by false accusations). Wow! I can tell you that after his talk, there was NO QUESTION as to the state of my soul...I NEEDED to talk with him. I went to the rectory where he was staying at my parish who had hosted him, and told him my dilemma. He listened to me and told me, very gently, everything would be o.k. .... and after he left our area, we began to correspond by letter......many years later when we would meet at various Marian conferences, he told me he would go sit before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and asked Jesus for me.... I'm choking up right now as I write, as I remember.....because I think of the foolish, foolish priests who do not go before the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords for the souls entrusted to them! I believe it was Archbishop Fulton Sheen who pleaded with priests to make a daily holy hour.....even if they went to sleep while there! It was not too long afterwards that I truly went through my very painful conversion and beginning of my journey with the Blessed Virgin Mary...what would have happened to me if Father Catallo had NOT prayed for me? WHY does the Holy Spirit not let me rest from having that weekly prayer meeting? I can't explain...but I do know the day will come and I will KNOW why and be very grateful that I persevered. +Pax Promises of Our Lady for those who hold/belong to the MMP: 1. I will strengthen the bonds of matrimony. In these terrible days where the sacrament of matrimony is mocked and held in little regard, where the homosexual and lesbian communities want to force legislation placing same sex couples on the same plane as married couples, this is a very powerful promise. It will take the sacramentally married couple the graces of Our Lady's promises to pray through the storms of life we are in and have been facing. 2. I will save all your children. This has been a very comforting promise that Our Lady has kept in very powerful ways for me and my 6 children. Understanding as I do that "saving" my children doesn't mean that they will all be praying like saints around me, (although I do try to SEE that with my eyes of faith) but rather they will be given the opportunity to convert and receive the sacraments before they die. Mothers and grandmothers you need to read the story of St. Rita of Cascia to understand this type of love. It is the soul that will live forever...not the body. It is the soul we must be concerned about, not the physical body. Eternity will be in heaven with God, Our Lady and all the angels and saints...there we will live forever WITH our family members who also "made it" to the glory of heaven..... 3. I will obtain all you need spiritually and temporarilyFirst and foremost it is the spiritual needs that are important, so Our Lady sees to it (if we surrender) that we are led to those spiritual acts that draw us closer to the Eucharistic Lord, i.e., we begin to have a desire to attend daily mass if we are not attending daily mass at the time we begin our journey, praying the rosary daily, to begin to see ourselves as the sinners we are and make frequent confession a part of our spiritual life, i.e., books, tapes, cd's, dvd's, etc to grow spiritually. Then she also asks in the consecration prayer given in the MMP that we allow ourselves to be "molded" by her. In essence that is what we are supposed to do...to be in the world, but not OF THE WORLD. And heaven will prompt us to leave those things in our lives that keep us from having a deeper relationship with Jesus...... in the end it is OUR choice to respond or not. The second part of this promise pertains to Our Lady helping us with our needs, whatever that may be, when we get into those financial crisis' that many of us find ourselves. Whether it is to find that job; find the way to get through that period of difficulty; sending someone who can help or receiving the grace to be at peace through the storm. I am living proof that Our Lady keeps that promise, 20 years on this journey. I live, according to the world, below the poverty level. But I have not wanted for anything. It has been blind trust when I come to the crossroads of losing my home, which I have gone through 4 times now....but giving up all my material things 20 years ago, when Jesus asked me to sell all I had, taught me how much FREEDOM there is in not having or being attached to material things. 4. I will be the lightening rod that will deflect the punishments that are coming away from you. If I did not know what this meant 20 years ago... I do now and have come to understand and appreciate this promise very much. There is not enough room to recount the stories of protection I have been afforded in the past and I absolutely believe, in the FUTURE. Suffice to say, I know without a doubt Our Lady keeps her promises! These were the promises I heard in that first talk with Fr. Catallo and I have never forgotten them, I have been the recipient of the promises and I will forever promote the MMP, which I have in many previous newsletters, precisely BECAUSE of the promises, so needed in these terrible days of heartache with spouses; children; finances; and disasters. These are the promises for the laity...I am sure there are equally powerful promises for the religious and priests. Sad to say there are always those people who find very negative things to say about any movement. Believe it or not there are still those out there who do not believe in Fatima! True, we do not NEED private revelations, but if heaven is working so hard to warn and teach us, why would a soul ignore it? Here is a very powerful statement from Fr. Iannuzzi regarding Father Gobbi and the MMP: A very touching tribute to Fr. Gobbi from Father Joseph Iannuzzi, an Official Exorcist - June 29th, 2011 I, Rev. Joseph Leo Iannuzzi, affirm that Fr. Steffano Gobbi is and was a true locutionist and a messenger from Mary, who shared with us a timely instrument from the Mother of God who is calling me and you to prayer and fasting from the heart. Time is short...The great chastisement awaits the planet that will be knocked off of its axis and send us into a moment of global darkness and the awakening of consciences..Fr. Gobbi's messages presently bear the Church's official seal of approval, the "imprimatur" Thus he is ecclesiastically recognized. So, prepare yourselves with the weapons of the Brown Scapular, the Miraculous medal, the Benedictine medal, the prayers of the Most Holy Rosary, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and the frequent reception of the Sacraments of Confession and Holy Communion. As God loves you, I love you, and love one another. Forgive one another form the heart. Nothing else really matters in this life. In Domino. Rev. Joseph Iannuzzi (underlined emphasis is mine) THERE WERE PEOPLE WHO DID NOT THINK IT WAS TRULY FROM FR. IANNUZZI...AND SO HIS FOLLOWING STATEMENT: Subject: Re: Father Joseph Iannuzzi's Tribute to Don Stefano Gobbi I did indeed give this informal tribute to Fr. Gobbi. As for the thesis, it is expected to be published soon. I'll keep you posted via my MHT Newsletter. God bless you, Rev. Joseph (I corrected a couple of typographical errors on this statement, placed a capitol "J" on Joseph and lower case "O" on "God") God Bless Father Gobbi, may he rest in peace!
