| Today, the Feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we celebrate the Day of Cloistered Religious Life. Religious Sisters called by the Lord to the contemplative life, I want to assure you of my special closeness to you, and that of the entire ecclesial community. At the same time, I renew my invitation to all Christians to not forget to give cloistered monasteries the necessary spiritual and material support. Indeed, we owe so much to these people who devote themselves entirely to prayer for the Church and for the world!
