Deacon
Please take a brief moment to read the letter from a priest below:
"Dear Mr. Maher,
I am a
retired Catholic priest. I have Social Security and Medicaid. However, I
was just diagnosed with severe diabetes and my health is no good to
work in ministry anymore. The pastor at the parish where I was helping
out suggested I contact you for help in paying the additional expenses
from the diabetes. They are a poor parish and we are a poor diocese, so I
have no pension. My Social Securiy pays for the rent on my small
apartment and for some food.
I am so sorry
to have to ask you for help. I konw personally many of my brothers who
are in far worse circumstances than me and need the kind of assistance
you and your team so generously provide. I am quite frightened of the
prognosis for me if you are not able to help.
Thank you for your consideration and may God lbess you and your Opus Bono.
Father James"
The need is so urgent at this time!
