The
church of Notre-Dame-de-la-Mer (Our Lady of the Sea) is located in
Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer in the French department of Bouches-du-Rhône,
close to the city of Marseille. It was Saint John Paul II who said: "I
want to go to Marseille! That's where the evangelization of Europe
began."
Thanks to the
tradition of the saints of Provence, including St Mary Magdalen, St
Lazarus, St Martha, the Saint Marys of the Sea, Sarah, the holy bishops
Maximin, Trophimus and Sidonius, today we can visit the religious and
cultural sites that gave birth to Christianity in Provence and then in
all of France.
In this time of
Pentecost, the apostles of the first evangelization invite us to pray
with Our Lady of the Sea to bring about the new Pentecost of love on the
world, prophesied by several popes and by Marthe Robin.

Please no anonymous comments. I require at least some way for people to address each other personally and courteously. Having some name or handle helps.
