When
Pius XII made the consecration, there was a hidden mention of Russia
that was understood by God. What was missing at the time was the union
with all the bishops of the world. Since that consecration was a call to
union with all the People of God, this aspect was essential.
Later,
the popes who came after Pius XII have more or less repeated the same
consecration, in which the union with all the bishops of the world was
still missing. For this reason, in 1982, I told the Apostolic Nuncio,
Mgr Portalupi that this consecration did not comply with the requests of
Our Lady...
Subsequently,
after bringing the image of Our Lady of Fatima to Rome, Saint Pope John
Paul II undertook to complete the consecration on March 25, 1984
(actually on the 24th, the vigil of the feast of the Annunciation),
writing to all the bishops to ask them to make the consecration in their
own diocese… He made the consecration publicly, in union with all the
bishops who, in turn and with His Holiness, made it in union with the
People of God, Christ's mystical body.
