During
her apparition on the mountain of La Salette, near Grenoble (France),
the Virgin Mary told two children to deliver a message to "all her
people." The Bishop of Grenoble authenticated it on September 19, 1851.
This year on September 19, 2015, there will be a celebration in honor of
the 169th anniversary of the apparition.
On Saturday,
September 19, 1846, at about 3:00 pm, the Virgin Mary appeared on the
mountain of La Salette. To witness her apparition, the Virgin Mary chose
two young uneducated shepherds who had only just met each other the day
before: Maximin Giraud, 11, and Melanie Calvat, 14.
In this apparition,
our Heavenly Mother cried tears to deflect the wrath of God, to pray for
the conversion of sinners and to soften our hardened hearts.
Today
the Virgin Mary – who in La Salette carries on her person a heavy chain
and a crucifix attached to a hammer and pliers – also mourns for her
people and for the world, calling on the ungrateful to admit their
errors and repair their wrong doings.

Please no anonymous comments. I require at least some way for people to address each other personally and courteously. Having some name or handle helps.
