St. Luke
Dear Family of Mary!
Today is the feast day of the beloved Evangelist, St. Luke! Reading St. Luke's Gospel is a very good way to get to know Our Lady, because St. Luke wrote for us all about Mary and the wonderful things God did through her!
St. Lawrence of Brindisi called St. Luke "Mary's secretary!" St. Lawrence said this about St. Luke and Mary:
"Only Luke was Mary's secretary, so to say. He alone writes of the Circumcision, the Presentation in the Temple, the Visitation of Elizabeth. He alone records Mary's Canticle [the Magnificat], that she found the boy Jesus in the Temple, and Luke alone gives us some indication of what the Blessed Mother did after Christ's Ascension into heaven, when he says that she persevered in prayer (cf. Acts 1:14)." (See Magnificat, October 2024, Friday, 10/18/24, Meditation of the Day)
St. Luke was an incredible witness to Jesus and Mary! But we are also called to witness Jesus and Mary! Our Lady told us so in this message below. The more we get to know Our Lady and Jesus, the more we will witness. You cannot witness to what you do not know or have not seen. So we need to pray, to convert, and to seek a deep relationship with Our Lady and Our Lord, so that we have something to witness!!
Our Lady tells us how:
April 25, 1996
"Dear children!
Today I invite you again
to put prayer in the first place in your families.
Little children,
when God is in the first place,
then you will, in all that you do,
seek the will of God.
In this way your daily conversion
will become easier.
Little children,
seek with humility that which is not in order in your hearts,
and you shall understand what you have to do.
Conversion will become a daily duty
that you will do with joy.
Little children,
I am with you,
I bless you all
and I invite you to become my witnesses
by prayer and personal conversion.
Thank you for having responded to my call."
Have a beautiful weekend!! Pray, pray, pray!!
In Jesus, Mary, and Joseph!
