Mary TV: April 29, 2022 Reflection - The Holy Name of Mary

Immaculate Heart of Mary

The Holy Name of Mary!

April 29, 2022
St. Catherine of Siena

Dear Family of Mary!

On Sunday we begin the Month of May which is dedicated to Our Lady! I would like to offer you this beautiful Litany to the Holy Name of Mary, written by St. John Henry Newman! It is a lovely litany and it might be a lovely prayer to pray every day in May in Our Lady's honor.

Our Lady only mentioned her name once in all these years of messages. It was in 1982! Here is what she said:

Thursday, June 24 or Friday, June 25, 1982
Before the evening Mass, during the apparition, the Virgin told the priests, through the intermediary of the visionaries:
"Thank the people in my name for the prayers, the sacrifices and the penance. Have them persevere in prayer, fasting and conversion, and have them wait with patience the realization of my promise. Everything is unfolding according to God's plan."

Our Lady was so humble, and sincere in her thanks. She was grateful to the parishioners for their response to her plan in Medjugorje. I dare say she is still grateful to them. Over these 40 years much has unfolded! What would we do without Our Lady's presence throughout these momentous years!

We want to show her how grateful we are to her for coming to us for over 40 years now, with graces, blessings, guidance and love. We are her children, and we have so much to thank her for in the month of May. Our gratitude will do much to lift our spirits in these difficult days. We want to be joyful children of Mary for the sake of the world in need of her love!

Let us pray:

Litany to the Holy Name of Mary
St. John Henry Newman

LORD, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.

Christ, have mercy.
Christ, have mercy.

Lord, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.

Christ, hear us.
Christ, graciously hear us.

Son of Mary, hear us.
Son of Mary, graciously hear us.

Heavenly Father, who hast Mary for Thy daughter, Have mercy on us.
Eternal Son, who hast Mary for Thy mother, Have mercy on us.
Holy Spirit, who hast Mary for Thy spouse, Have mercy on us.
Glorious Trinity, who hast Mary for Thy handmaid, Have mercy on us.

Mary, Mother of the Living God,                 Pray for us.
Mary, Daughter of the Light Unapproachable,
Mary, our light,
Mary, our sister,
Mary, stem of Jesse,
Mary, offspring of kings,
Mary, best work of God,
Mary, immaculate,
Mary, all fair,
Mary, Virgin Mother,
Mary, suffering with Jesus,
Mary, pierced with a sword,
Mary, bereft of consolation,
Mary, standing by the Cross,
Mary, ocean of bitterness,
Mary, rejoicing in God’s will,
Mary, our Lady,
Mary, our Queen,
Mary, bright as the sun,
Mary, fair as the moon,
Mary, crowned with twelve stars,
Mary, seated on the right hand of Jesus,
Mary, our sweetness,
Mary, our hope,
Mary, glory of Jerusalem,
Mary, joy of Israel,
Mary, honour of our people,

Lamb of God, who takest away the sins of the world,
Spare us, O Lord.
Lamb of God, who takest away the sins of the world,
Graciously hear us, Lord.
Lamb of God, who takest away the sins of the world,
Have mercy on us.

V. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
R. Blessed art Thou among women.

Let us Pray
O Almighty God, who seest how earnestly we desire to place ourselves under the shadow of the name of Mary, vouchsafe, we beseech Thee, that as often as we invoke her in our need, we may receive grace and pardon from Thy holy heaven, through Christ our Lord.—Amen

In Jesus, Mary, and Joseph!

Mary TV: April 28, 2022 Reflection - True Devotion to Mary

True Devotion to Mary

April 28, 2022
Feast of St. Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort

Dear Family of Mary!

Here again is the April 25, 2022 Message from Our Lady of Medjugorje, Queen of Peace:

"Dear children! I am looking at you and I see that you are lost. That is why I am calling all of you: return to God, return to prayer - and the Holy Spirit will fill you with His love which gives joy to the heart. Hope will grow in you, also for a better future, and you will become joyful witnesses of God's mercy in you and around you. Thank you for having responded to my call." (April 25, 2022)

Today is the Feast Day of St. Louis de Montfort! St. Louis was a prophet in his day, and is a prophet in our day as well. He understood through the gift of the Holy Spirit, how God would choose to raise up Our Lady in the last days to guide His people into the safety of His Truth. I believe that God has sent Our Lady to Medjugorje for that very purpose. Her messages have guided us little ones into the Truths of the Faith for 40 years now. And as this most recent message reveals, she is still with us, calling us into prayer, showing us the way to receive the Holy Spirit, to be filled with God's love, and to witness God's Mercy to a very fallen world.

We need Our Lady desperately. And she is with us. Maybe today we can pray this prayer by St. Louis De Montfort, letting his devotion to Our Lady inform us and give us a deeper devotion to her. The aspirations in this prayer are spot on!!

St. Louis de Montfort’s Prayer to Mary

Hail Mary, beloved Daughter of the Eternal Father!
Hail Mary, admirable Mother of the Son!
Hail Mary, faithful spouse of the Holy Ghost!
Hail Mary, my dear Mother, my loving Mistress, my powerful sovereign!
Hail my joy, my glory, my heart and my soul!

Thou art all mine by mercy,
and I am all thine by justice.
But I am not yet sufficiently thine.

I now give myself wholly to thee without keeping anything back for myself or others.
If thou still seest in me anything which does not belong to thee,
I beseech thee to take it and to make thyself the absolute Mistress of all that is mine.

Destroy in me all that may be displeasing to God,
root it up and bring it to nought;
place and cultivate in me everything that is pleasing to thee.

May the light of thy faith dispel the darkness of my mind;
may thy profound humility take the place of my pride;
may thy sublime contemplation check the distractions of my wandering imagination;
may thy continuous sight of God fill my memory with His presence;
may the burning love of thy heart inflame the lukewarmness of mine;
may thy virtues take the place of my sins;
may thy merits be my only adornment in the sight of God
and make up for all that is wanting in me.

Finally, dearly beloved Mother,
grant, if it be possible, that I may have no other spirit but thine
to know Jesus and His divine will;
that I may have no other soul but thine
to praise and glorify the Lord;
that I may have no other heart but thine
to love God with a love as pure and ardent as thine.

I do not ask thee for visions, revelations, sensible devotion or spiritual pleasures.
It is thy privilege to see God clearly;
it is thy privilege to enjoy heavenly bliss;
it is thy privilege to triumph gloriously in Heaven
at the right hand of thy Son
and to hold absolute sway over angels, men and demons;
it is thy privilege to dispose of all the gifts of God, just as thou willest.

Such is, O heavenly Mary, the “best part,”
which the Lord has given thee
and which shall never be taken away from thee-
and this thought fills my heart with joy.

As for my part here below,
I wish for no other than that which was thine:
to believe sincerely without spiritual pleasures;
to suffer joyfully without human consolation;
to die continually to myself without respite;
and to work zealously and unselfishly for thee
until death as the humblest of thy servants.

The only grace I beg thee to obtain for me
is that every day and every moment of my life
I may say:
Amen, so be it -to all that thou didst do while on earth;
Amen, so be it -to all that thou art now doing in Heaven;
Amen, so be it-to all that thou art doing in my soul,
so that thou alone mayest fully glorify Jesus in me for time and eternity.
Amen

In Jesus, Mary, and Joseph!

Mary TV: April 24, 2022 Reflection- Divine Mercy Sunday

Divine Mercy Sunday

April 24, 2022
Divine Mercy Sunday

Dear Family of Mary!

Today, we have recourse to the inconceivable depths of Jesus' Divine Mercy, flowing from His wounded Heart. Jesus desires that we come to Him today with complete trust, opening our hearts and souls to the love of Jesus, and He will heal us. Jesus, Himself, told us through St. Faustina, what He longed to give to us on the Feast of Divine Mercy:

During prayer I heard these words within me: The two rays denote Blood and Water. The pale ray stands for the Water which makes souls righteous. The red ray stands for the Blood which is the life of souls...These two rays issued forth from the very depths of My tender mercy when My agonized Heart was opened by a lance on the Cross. These rays shield souls from the wrath of My Father. Happy is the one who will dwell in their shelter, for the just hand of God shall not lay hold of him. I desire that the first Sunday after Easter be the Feast of Mercy. (299)

On one occasion, I heard these words: My daughter, tell the whole world about My inconceivable mercy. I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners. On that day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the Fount of My Mercy. The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment. On that day all the divine floodgates through which graces flow are opened. Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet. My mercy is so great that no mind, be it of man or of angel, will be able to fathom it throughout all eternity. Everything that exists has come forth from the very depths of My most tender mercy. Every soul in its relation to Me will contemplate My love and mercy throughout eternity. The Feast of Mercy emerged from My very depths of tenderness. It is My desire that it be solemnly celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter. Mankind will not have peace until it turns to the Fount of My Mercy. (699)

Our Lady once said to us: "My children, Jesus loves you and gives you the grace to live in His mercy, but sin has overtaken many of your hearts and you live in darkness. Therefore, my children, do not wait, say 'no' to sin and surrender your hearts to my Son, because only in this way will you be able to live God's mercy and, with Jesus in your hearts, set out on the way of salvation." (12/25/2012 - Jakov)

May we open our hearts to the complete forgiveness of sins from Jesus today, and with deep trust throw ourselves upon His Mercy!

Now we pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet:

You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls,
and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world.

O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy,
envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us.

(Repeat 3 times) O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Our Father, Hail Mary and the Apostle’s Creed

For each of the five decades (On each “Our Father” bead of the rosary, pray)
Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

(On each of the 10 “Hail Mary” beads, pray)
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Concluding prayer (Repeat 3 times)
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Closing Prayer
Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen.

Mary TV: April 23, 2022 Reflection- Easter Saturday, Divine Mercy Day 9

Easter Saturday - Divine Mercy Novena Day 9

April 23, 2022
Saturday of Easter Week
Divine Mercy Novena – Day 9

Dear Family of Mary!

Today we pray for all souls who are lukewarm. These are souls who barely care about God and who live their lives in a forgetful fog. They do not know where they are going or why, because they do not recognize God as God, and do not desire Him. They are indifferent to everything spiritual. We could say that our materialistic, hedonistic cultures create such souls, by distracting them from their true destiny, and convincing them that this life is all that matters.

Our Lady spoke about such souls in this message:

"Dear children! Today also I am calling you to live and follow with a special love all the messages which I am giving you. Dear children, God does not want you lukewarm and undecided, but that you totally surrender to Him. You know that I love you and that out of love I long for you. Therefore, dear children, you also decide for love so that you will long for and daily experience God's love. Dear children, decide for love so that love prevails in all of you, but not human love, rather God's love. Thank you for having responded to my call." (November 20, 1986)

Our Lady offers a way to heal our indifferent and lukewarm hearts in this message. Her messages are a helping hand into the real world of faith and love. She is with us to guide us into the true reality of life with God! No more indifference for us!

Jesus spoke to St. Faustina about lukewarm souls as well:

367. + On one occasion, Jesus gave me to know that when I pray for intentions which people are wont to entrust to me, He is always ready to grant His graces, but souls do not always want to accept them: My Heart overflows with great mercy for souls, and especially for poor sinners. If only they could understand that I am the best of Fathers to them and that it is for them that the Blood and Water flowed from My Heart as from a fount overflowing with mercy. For them I dwell in the tabernacle as King of Mercy. I desire to bestow My graces upon souls, but they do not want to accept them. You, at least, come to Me as often as possible and take these graces they do not want to accept. In this way you will console My Heart. Oh, how indifferent are souls to so much goodness, to so many proofs of love! My Heart drinks only of the ingratitude and forgetfulness of souls living in the world. They have time for everything, but they have no time to come to Me for graces.

Indifference and lukewarm faith are rampant in our time. This last day is a plea for prayer for countless souls who have no idea what road they are on. To be lukewarm is to deny the future, to deny eternal life and the reality of Heaven and Hell. To be lukewarm is worse than being dead.

As Jesus said in scripture:"`I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth. For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing; not knowing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. Therefore I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, that you may be rich, and white garments to clothe you and to keep the shame of your nakedness from being seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, that you may see. Those whom I love, I reprove and chasten; so be zealous and repent. (Rev 3:15-19)

Divine Mercy is the source of all those things we lack - gold, garments, and salve. Divine Mercy can make up for all we lack in holiness and fervor for the Lord. We need to turn to God’s mercy and surrender completely to Him now, before it is too late.

Divine Mercy Novena, Day Nine:

Today bring to Me SOULS WHO HAVE BECOME LUKEWARM and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. These souls wound My Heart most painfully. My soul suffered the most dreadful loathing in the Garden of Olives because of lukewarm souls. They were the reason I cried out: 'Father, take this cup away from Me, if it be Your will.' For them, the last hope of salvation is to run to My mercy.

Most compassionate Jesus, You are Compassion Itself. I bring lukewarm souls into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart. In this fire of Your pure love, let these tepid souls, who, like corpses, filled You with such deep loathing, be once again set aflame. O Most Compassionate Jesus, exercise the omnipotence of Your mercy and draw them into the very ardor of Your love, and bestow upon them the gift of holy love, for nothing is beyond Your power.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon lukewarm souls who are nonetheless enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. Father of Mercy, I beg You by the bitter Passion of Your Son and by His three-hour agony on the Cross: Let them, too, glorify the abyss of Your mercy. Amen.
