2. An 11-year old teaches us! Little Chiara is riddled with cancer. Last January, she came from the United States with her father, her grandmother, her godmother and some friends. Her family wanted to implore the Blessed Mother to help their little girl . Her
mother stayed home with her 2 younger children. During the deep enconter we had with her, we would never have guessed that the doctors had not given her long to live. She was leading the conversation with surprising joy and serenity, cracking jokes and reassuring everyone by her positive spirit. Then, with the simplicity of a pure heart, she explained to me, "You know, Jesus will decide for me, I know that He will make the best decision. I am confident! Either I will be healed and I am happy, or I will not be healed and I am happy too! In both cases, I win because I know that it is He who decides".She said to her family, "If I die, I will go to heaven and I will wait for you there!"
3. Snow over Medjugorje! For more than 2 weeks, apart from the chuch and its prayer program, everything has stopped in Medjugorje because of exceptional snowfalls. The school, the offices, the stores are closed, cars are not running (they rather ressemble igloos), my
sisters go to the Blue Cross on skis!! The village is now covered with a thick layer of ice. Even though the snow has caused unfortunate damages (among them, our tent collapsed under the excessive weight of the snow, see picture), the Lord has used it for beautiful things, especially inspiring some active mutual support. These trials, unexpected and unplanned by men, make us realize how vulnerable our life on earth is, and how small we are! God allows it for our benefit, it pushes us to take the time to reflect over our life, its meaning and its goal.Who knows if this episode is not in fact a preparation, so that we may learn how to live more simply?! The advertising industry has made anxious people of us, never satisfied with what we have, it creates needs that don't in truth exist, and expensive ones at that! It holds us hostage to our addictions and attachments.
The whole family is waiting for the birth of the child in a few weeks… How precious are such grandmothers! Doing so, they spare so many babies from being aborted!
5. A real heart of a mother! Many laws go against human life, and our pagan Western world influences even Catholics on that matter. But beautiful attitudes still exist and it is important to publish them too! In Italy, a single woman of 30 found herself pregnant. Her mother, a good Catholic who raised her children in the strict observance of the commandments of God, had to be told of this unexpected pregnancy. Of course, her daughter was afraid to break the news to her mother. But when the mother (who had become a grandmother!) heard the news, she exclaimed, “Ah well then, before the gift of life, there is nothing to do but to kneel down!”
6. Be careful, many fake messages are invading the Internet!! A message attributed to the Blessed Mother and supposedly given to the visionary Ivan has been going around the world for years on the Internet. It concerns the news of an imminent catastrophe in Lebanon, etc. Ivan, who was asked about it by an American friend, formally denied it. Evidently, the tone of the message is absolutely not according to our Mother's way. It sows useless panic and distracts us from what our Mother teaches us in her true messages. Another one is going around concerning France. It is fake too! Also, why would the Gospa need to give messages of this importance to some private circles (knowing that it would be widely spread a minute later on the internet!), when she can simply do it through her normal chanels, in her monthly messages of the 25th and of the 2nd?! It would be foolish!
The safest thing is to rely on the official messages published by the parish or by serious sites linked to Medjugorje, and to start living them.
