May Advent be the prayer of the family!
November 27, 2024
Dear Family of Mary!
Here again is the message we received on Monday:
The November 25, 2024 – Message from Our Lady of Medjugorje:
Dear
children, In this time of the grace of expectation, I desire to call
you to prayer; for Advent to be the prayer of the family. In a special
way, little children whom I tenderly embrace, I encourage you to prayer
for peace in the world; for peace to prevail over peacelessness and
hatred. Thank you for having responded to my call.
Our Lady calls us to make Advent the time of prayer
for the family! We, as families will be so blessed if we make time for
special family prayer!!
And isn't it so!! During Advent we do feel called
to more fervent prayer! We are waiting for the birth of our Savior, by
contemplating the long history of the chosen people, who waited and
waited for the Kingdom of God to arrive.
Advent can be the time that our families grow in the
awareness of our need for a Savior. If we pray a little bit more
fervently, fast a little more carefully, read Scripture together each
night, and maybe go to confession each week before Christmas, we may
feel stronger and more ready for our Savior to be born in our midst.
Here is another message which may help us to respond to Our Lady's call:
November 25, 1996
"Dear
children! Today, again, I invite you to pray, so that through prayer,
fasting and small sacrifices you may prepare yourselves for the coming
of Jesus. May this time, little children, be a time of grace for you.
Use every moment and do good, for only in this way will you feel the
birth of Jesus in your hearts. If with your life you give an example and
become a sign of God's love, joy will prevail in the hearts of men.
Thank you for having responded to my call."
May we use every moment and do good this Advent!! We do want to feel the birth of Jesus in our hearts!!
God bless you,
Cathy Nolan
