Dear Family of Mary!

"...Little children be prayer for all those who do not pray; be joy for all those who do not see the way out; be carriers of light in the darkness of this peaceless time..." (May 25, 2020)

Our Lady's beautiful words from the May 25, 2020 message show us our exalted calling in Christ. We are called to be prayer, joy and light!

Jesus told His apostles: "
And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you; but stay in the city, until you are clothed with power from on high." (Lk 24:29)

This Power from on high is the Holy Spirit which fell upon the Apostles in the upper room on Pentecost. This Power taught them to pray as they had never prayed before. This Power enabled the Apostles to witness to Christ's life, death and resurrection in any situation no matter how hostile. This Power gave them a joy that filled them and never stopped flowing out of them, no matter what situation they were in. This Power made them shine with an inner light that enlightened all those to whom they spoke.

They became prayer for those who did not pray, joy for all those who did not see the way out, and carriers of light in the darkness of the peacelessness of their time.

And this same Power comes over us at Baptism! This Power blesses the Bread and Wine, bringing us our Eucharistic Lord at Holy Mass. This Power strengthens us as Christian witnesses at Confirmation. This is the Power that infuses our marriages with true love. This is the power that transforms holy men into our Priests and gives our religious brothers and sisters the gifts they need to serve. This Power heals us when we are sick. And this Power guides us every moment of our lives, making us prayer, joy and light for all who need it so badly. This is the Holy Spirit!

As we prepare for Pentecost, let's pray this Litany to the Holy Spirit, asking for all the gifts, virtues, and blessings we need to become prayer, joy and light for the world we live in today:

Litany to the Holy Spirit

Lord, have mercy on us.
Christ, have mercy on us.

Send us Thy Holy Spirit.
Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world,
pour down into our souls the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world,
grant us the Spirit of wisdom and piety.

V. Come, Holy Spirit! Fill the hearts of Thy faithful,
R. And enkindle in them the fire of Thy love.

Let us pray. Grant, O merciful Father, that Thy Divine Spirit may enlighten, inflame and purify us, that He may penetrate us with His heavenly dew and make us fruitful in good works, through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who with Thee, in the unity of the same Spirit, liveth and reigneth, one God, forever and ever.
R. Amen.

Mary TV: May 28, 2020 Reflection - You know what needs to be changed!

(c) Mary TV

May 28, 2020

Dear Family of Mary!

"...In your hearts, little children, you know what needs to be changed. Return to God and His Commandments, so that the Holy Spirit may change your lives and the face of this earth, which is in need of renewal in the Spirit..." (May 25, 2020)

We still have time to prepare for the coming of the Holy Spirit on Sunday!! We can do an Examination of Conscience to help us uncover what needs to change and give the Holy Spirit room to work in our hearts. (If you can go to confession, that would be even better!!) Who knows, the face of the earth may get lighter and brighter if we do!!

There are many guides to examination of conscience. The Ten Commandments are basic and so are the Beatitudes. But here is an examination written by Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke, D.D., J.C.D. It is based on looking at our relationships. I like it because it gives a good context for determining what needs to change!! Our Lady told us we know what needs to be changed!! But this will help us to be precise!!

An Examination of Conscience

My relationship with God:
Did I love God above all things today?
Did I seek to love Him in all that I did?
Did I put myself at His service?
Was I aware of His presence?
Did I turn to Him?
Did I tell Him that I love Him?
Was He the center of my life today?
Did I neglect or omit my spiritual practices today?
Did worldly anxieties, or fears, keep me from following God's will?
Did I lack trust in God's love for me today?
Was I critical of the Church's pastors, in thought or word?
Did I complain and murmur when I experienced difficulties today, instead of patiently accepting every event and "happening" as coming from God?
Was I open to God's inspiration today?

My relationship with my neighbor:
Did I fail in "being Christ" to my family members or my neighbor?
Did I love others for God's sake?
Did I practice self-forgetfulness, or did I practice self-pity and self-absorption?
Was I obstinate, hardhearted, hateful, jealous, injurious, backbiting, violent or unjust in words or actions?
Was I lacking in charity, forgiveness, or honesty?
Did I gossip and cause injury to another's reputation or goods?
Was I impure or unchaste in any thought, word, or action?
Did I steal from, or cheat, someone?
Did I behave in a manner that reflects badly upon or could give scandal to the Church? Was I excessive in my zeal, or uncharitable in my witness of the Faith?
Was I disobedient to the directives of those in authority over me?
Have I been cooperative and generous with my time, energy, and talents in the work of the Church, especially in the apostolate of catechesis?

My relationship with myself:
Did I fail to make an honest effort to grow in one of the moral virtues of prudence, justice, fortitude and temperance or the theological virtues of faith, hope and charity?
Did I fall into discouragement?
Did I fail to go forward in serenity and trust in God?
Did I fail to practice some form of mortification?
Did I fail to try to overcome one of my chief faults?
Was I prideful, envious, vain, greedy, angry, intemperate, gluttonous, slothful, impatient, or immodest?
Did I fail to cultivate the virtue of humility? (Humility is the foundation of all the virtues. The virtue of humility teaches us to consider ourselves inferior to everyone, at all times.)

Only two more days before Pentecost!! Let's pray for one another!!

We pray together to the Holy Spirit:

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful
and kindle in them the fire of Thy love.

V. Send forth Thy Spirit and we shall be created.
R. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth.

Let us pray. O God, Who by the light of the Holy Spirit didst instruct the hearts of thy faithful, grant by the same Spirit that we will be truly wise, and ever to rejoice in His consolation. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Mary TV: May 27, 2020 Reflection -Pray with me for a new life...

(c) Mary TV

May 27, 2020
St. Augustine of Canterbury

Dear Family of Mary!

Once again, here is the message given on May 25, 2020:

"Dear children! Pray with me for a new life for all of you. In your hearts, little children, you know what needs to be changed. Return to God and His Commandments, so that the Holy Spirit may change your lives and the face of this earth, which is in need of renewal in the Spirit.

Little children be prayer for all those who do not pray; be joy for all those who do not see the way out; be carriers of light in the darkness of this peaceless time.
Pray and seek the help and protection of the saints so that you also could yearn for Heaven and Heavenly realities. I am with you and am protecting and blessing all of you with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call."
  (May 25, 2020)

Our Lady is a powerful intercessor before God. Because of her sinlessness and purity, Our Lady is 'in sync' with God! Her will is always joyfully submitted to the Lord! "Be it done to me according to your word." She lives in complete union with God. And so, when she asks us to: "Pray with me for a new life for all of you....", we know that this prayer intention is straight from the Father. To pray WITH Our Lady is to join in a prayer that will go straight into the Father's heart! He will not reject this prayer.
The question is, do we want a new life? Do we want to change? Do we want to convert and return to God? Because if we pray with Our Lady for a new life, God will answer with the grace of conversion and repentance! Are we ready?!!

Let's let Our Lady speak to us about our new life through her messages, and pray for our hearts to open to the possibility!

A little Litany for a New Life:
Our Lady: Pray, dear children, and have more trust in me because I am here in order to help you and to guide you on a new path toward a new life. (10/25/92) Response: Mother, help me to trust in the new path to the new life you are offering me.
Our Lady: I love you and that is why I am with you, in order to teach you and to lead you to a new life of conversion and renunciation. (11/25/92) Response: Mother, teach me how to convert and to renounce all that keeps me from a new life.
Our Lady: I call you, little children, to open your hearts to God the Creator for Him to transform and mold you in His image, so that all the good which has fallen asleep in your hearts may awaken to a new life and a longing towards eternity. (02/25/2010) Response: Mother, help me say "yes" to the Father so that He can wake up my sleeping heart to a new life in His image.

Our Lady: You are precious and I call you, little children, to holiness, to eternal life. Therefore, be aware that this life is passing. I love you and call you to a new life of conversion (05/25/2014) Response: Mother, help me feel your love for me, that I am precious and called, so that I will choose to follow you into a new life.

Our Lady: "Dear children! In this time of grace, I am calling all of you to open your hearts to God's mercy, to begin a new life through prayer, penance and a decision for holiness. This time of spring moves you to a new life, to a renewal, in your thoughts and hearts. Therefore, little children, I am with you to help you to say 'yes' to God and to God's commandments with resoluteness. You are not alone; I am with you through the grace which the Most High gives me for you and your descendants. Thank you for having responded to my call." (03/25/2017)
Response: Holy Mother, help me to say "yes" to God with resoluteness, and be renewed.

Our Lady: "Dear children! I am calling you to be with me in prayer in this time of grace when darkness is fighting against the light. Pray, little children, confess and begin a new life in grace. Decide for God and He will lead you towards holiness; and the cross will be a sign of victory and hope for you. Be proud that you are baptized and grateful in your heart that you are a part of God's plan. Thank you for having responded to my call." (03/25/2018)
Response: Dear Mother, thank you for calling me to be with you in prayer in this time of grace...help me accept God's grace!!

Our Lady: You have a great grace of being called to a new life through the messages which I am giving you. This, little children, is a time of grace, a time and a call to conversion for you and the future generations. (10/25/18) Response: Thank you, Mother, for bringing this great grace of conversion to us. May we respond to your call.

Our Lady: "Dear children! Today, I am calling you to a new life. It is not important how old you are, open your heart to Jesus who will transform you in this time of grace and, like nature, you will be born into a new life in God's love, and you will open your heart to Heaven and the things of Heaven. I am still with you, because God permitted me out of love for you. Thank you for having responded to my call." (02/25/2019)
Response: Thank you, Mother, for calling me to a new life. Thank you, dearest Lord, for permitting Mary to be with us!

Our Lady: Do not resist hope and peace. Along with your prayer and fasting, by His cross, my Son will cast away the darkness that wants to surround you and come to rule over you. He will give you the strength for a new life. (03/02/2013) Response: Mother, help me not to resist hope and peace, to be humble, to pray and fast for the strength of a new life.

Our Lady: Today I am calling you to live your new life with Jesus. May the Risen One give you strength to always be strong in the trials of life and to be faithful and persevering in prayer; because Jesus saved you by His wounds and by His Resurrection gave you new life. (04/25/2018)
Response: Thank you, Jesus for giving me a new life by your Cross and Resurrection. I say Yes to You!
Amen.

Devotion to Our Lady of America gains further approvals! What comes next?

The seven Bishop have approved the private devotion of Our Lady of America: Archbishop Paul Leibold, Archbishop Allen Vigneron, Archbishop Dennis Schnurr, , Bishop Kevin Rhoades, Bishop Timothy Doherty,  Bishop Daniel Thomas
Devotion to Our Lady of America gains further approvals! What comes next?
On May 7th, 2020 Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades of the Diocese of Fort Wayne – South Bend, along with 5 other Bishops where Sr. Mary Ephrem was alleged to have had apparitions issued these Documents (Singular Decree and Statement Regarding Devotion to Our Lady of America) following a multi-year study. Included, in these documents is a finding by all the bishops of competence approving this Private Devotion.
While the devotion was first approved (early 1960’s) by Archbishop Paul F. Leibold of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, the question concerning the supernatural nature of the alleged apparitions had never been previously studied by a Bishop of Competence (a Bishop in the diocese where Sr. Ephrem had her alleged apparitions).  Since Sr. Ephrem was frequently moved by her Order, this became a multi-diocesan question.

Serious Challenges

Most all authentic devotions go through a period of testing.  Devotion to Our Lady of America is no different.  In statistical measure, the probability of an apparition being declared as truly supernatural is slightly above zero.  And those that are approved go through a time of testing which in many cases starts with a condemnation and only when the truth and fruits are fully revealed does it get this rarest of recognition.

Mary TV: May 22, 2020 Reflection - A Little Litany to the Holy Spirit

(c) Mary TV 2020

May 22, 2020
St. Rita of Cascia

Dear Family of Mary!

We begin the Novena to the Holy Spirit today!! Fr. Leon will pray with us each day on Mary TV in the Channel, and in the "Novena" archive on the home page. Come, Holy Spirit!

Today I have compiled a little Litany of quotes from Our Lady's messages about the Holy Spirit. I find it very calming to ponder and pray over her words to us. She is our Heavenly Mother! Her words are full of healing and love for her children. (The responses are all in the first person, "me", because I find it more meditative, but if you say the litany with others, you can change it to "us"!)

A Little Litany to the Holy Spirit from Our Lady, Queen of Peace!
Our Lady: Today I invite you to open yourselves to God by means of prayer so the Holy Spirit may begin to work miracles in you and through you. May 25, 1993
Response: Come Holy Spirit and work miracles in me and through me!

Our Lady: I invite you again to open to prayer so that in prayer the Holy Spirit will help you, that your hearts become of flesh and not of stone. June 25, 1996
Response: Come Holy Spirit and change my heart to flesh!

Our Lady: May your heart be prepared to listen to, and live, everything which the Holy Spirit has in His plan for each of you. Little children, allow the Holy Spirit to lead you on the way of truth and salvation towards eternal life. May 25, 1998
Response: Come Holy Spirit and lead me on the way of truth!

Our Lady: Pray, little children, that the Holy Spirit may come to dwell in you in fullness, so that you may be able to witness in joy to all those who are far from faith. May 25, 2000
Response: Come Holy Spirit and dwell in me in your fullness!

Our Lady: Bless and seek the wisdom of the Holy Spirit to lead you at this time so that you may comprehend and live in the grace of this time. May 25, 2001
Response: Come Holy Spirit and fill me with your wisdom!

Our Lady: Renew your personal prayer, and in a special way pray to the Holy Spirit to help you pray with the heart. May 25, 2003
Response: Come Holy Spirit and help me pray with the Heart!

Our Lady: By prayer and the reading of Sacred Scripture, may the Holy Spirit, who will renew you, enter into your families. In this way, you will become teachers of the faith in your family. April 25, 2005
Response: Come Holy Spirit and teach me through prayer and Sacred Scripture

Our Lady: In silence may the Holy Spirit speak to you and permit Him to convert and change you. July 25, 2006
Response: Come Holy Spirit and speak to me in the silence...!

Our Lady: Dear children! Pray with me to the Holy Spirit for Him to lead you in the search of God's will on the way of your holiness. May 25, 2007
Response:   Come Holy Spirit and lead me in the search for God's will!

Our Lady: Dear children! In this time, I call you all to pray for the coming of the Holy Spirit upon every baptized creature, so that the Holy Spirit may renew you all and lead you on the way of witnessing your faith. May 25, 2009
Response: Come Holy Spirit and renew me and lead me in witnessing my faith!

Our Lady: "Dear children! May this time be for you a time of prayer and silence. Rest your body and spirit, may they be in God's love... Permit me, little children, to lead you, open your hearts to the Holy Spirit so that all the good that is in you may blossom and bear fruit one hundred fold. Begin and end the day with prayer with the heart. Thank you for having responded to my call." July 25, 2011
Response: Come Holy Spirit into my heart so that the good in me may blossom and bear fruit one hundred fold!

We pray together to the Holy Spirit:
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful
and enkindle in them the fire of Thy love.
Amen.

Mary TV: May 21, 2020 Reflection - "Your home is in Heaven"

(c) Mary TV 2020

May 21, 2020
The Ascension of the Lord

Dear Family of Mary!

On this day we celebrate that incredible moment when Jesus ascended into Heaven! He had spent 40 days with the Apostles, confirming them in the truth of His Resurrection and commissioning them as His Apostles. But the time had come for Jesus to ascend into Heaven. He did it in plain sight, for all his disciples to see. It is for us a basic truth of our faith, something we declare that we believe whenever we pray the Creed. Jesus ascended to the Father, into heaven!! And it is for us a hope for our future. One day we will follow Him to our eternal homeland, body and soul, just like Him.

Here is the account from Acts Chapter 1:
So when they had come together, they asked him, "Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?" He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Sama'ria and to the end of the earth."
And when he had said this, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven." (Acts 1:6-11)
We need to stay in touch with this incredible truth. Jesus ascended into Heaven. We will one day join Him. And Heaven needs to be our goal, our destiny, our hope and our heartfelt desire. Without this hope, we will not have the courage to persevere. Heaven is our home. We are on our way. Jesus has provided the way and Mary is with us now to help us on the journey.

Here are five of Our Lady's messages in which she points us to heaven, and to Jesus. We might pray the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary today, and read a message before each decade, to help us keep our focus on Heaven and our future!

November 27, 1986 "Dear children! Again, today I call you to consecrate your life to me with love, so I am able to guide you with love. I love you, dear children, with a special love and I desire to bring you all to Heaven unto God. I want you to realize that this life lasts briefly compared to the one in Heaven. Therefore, dear children, decide again today for God. Only that way will I be able to show how much you are dear to me and how much I desire all to be saved and to be with me in Heaven. Thank you for having responded to my call."

May 25, 1987 "Dear children! I am calling every one of you to start living in God's love. Dear children, you are ready to commit sin, and to put yourselves in the hand of satan without reflecting. I call on each one of you to consciously decide for God and against satan. I am your Mother and, therefore, I want to lead you all to perfect holiness. I want each one of you to be happy here on earth and to be with me in Heaven. That is, dear children, the purpose of my coming here and it's my desire. Thank you for having responded to my call."

August 25, 1998 "Dear children! Today I invite you to come still closer to me through prayer. Little children, I am your mother, I love you and I desire that each of you be saved and thus be with me in Heaven. That is why, little children, pray, pray, pray until your life becomes prayer... Thank you for having responded to my call."

July 25, 2000 "Dear children! Do not forget that you are here on earth on the way to eternity and that your home is in Heaven. That is why, little children, be open to God's love and leave egoism and sin. May your joy be only in discovering God in daily prayer. That is why, make good use of this time and pray, pray, pray; and God is near to you in prayer and through prayer. Thank you for having responded to my call."

May 25, 2018 "Dear children! In this peaceless time, I am calling you to have more trust in God who is your Father in Heaven and who has sent me to lead you to Him. You, open your hearts to the gifts which He desires to give you and, in the silence of your heart, Adore my Son Jesus who has given His life so that you may live in eternity - where He desires to lead you. May your hope be the joy of a meeting with the Most High in everyday life. Therefore, I am calling you: do not neglect prayer because prayer works miracles. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Mary TV: May 20, 2020 Reflection - Who is your Mother?

(c) Mary TV 2020

May 20, 2020
St. Bernardine of Sienna

Dear Family of Mary!

Mother Mary is with us. She is with us in Medjugorje, accompanying us on our way to heaven. As we continue to prepare for Pentecost, let's listen to another message she has given us with her guidance for this time of battle for the Kingdom of God:

August 25, 2000 "Dear children! I desire to share my joy with you. In my Immaculate Heart I feel that there are many of those who have drawn closer to me and are, in a special way, carrying the victory of my Immaculate Heart in their hearts by praying and converting. I desire to thank you and to inspire you to work even more for God and His kingdom with love and the power of the Holy Spirit. I am with you and I bless you with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Our Mother was excited to see that many of her children had drawn closer to her. Through prayer and conversion, her children were able to carry her victory in their hearts, the victory of her Immaculate Heart. This is very important. The victory of Our Lady's Immaculate Heart is a victory over our terrible enemy, Satan. Her victory is bringing many souls into the Kingdom of God. It is the final battle for souls.
Mario Mijatovic (Vicka's husband!) shared about the importance of Mother Mary in his interview with Rosie in "Tea with Rosie", episode 290. He spoke with such conviction! It was his personal experience that he spoke about. (I highly recommend that you watch this interview on our website, www.marytv.tv  because seeing Mario speak communicates much more than the words he spoke alone could communicate. He is filled with the Holy Spirit!)

Mario shared with Rosie:

Mario: Mother Mary, Mother Mary is calling us to have patience, which is a beautiful way to stay close to Her. We must stay close to Mother, not with our lips, not with our words - but with our heart. You know, with our heart. Speaking with Her about all your problems. Speak with Her, talk to Mother. Tell her everything. Ask Mother - she is doing something for us, she is sending her Son Jesus. Mother is doing this for us.
This is most important. Because, when I speak today with my Mother, with Mother Mary, when I tell Her everything that is here [he points to his heart], then tomorrow somebody may ask me, "Who is your Mother?" I can tell him, "My Mother is the same mother - the Mother of Jesus Christ, Mother Mary." Well, after this the man may ask me, "What did you speak about with Mother Mary today?" Then I can tell him, "I spoke this, this, this."
But when you speak to another person, and you ask him, "What did you speak about with Mother Mary? What did Mother Mary tell you today?" That person might frown like this... (frowning). Now, many people say this: "Mother Mary is my mother." Excuse me? Who is this mother when you don't speak with her? Who is your mother - (that you don't speak with her)? This is important.
Mother Mary is safe for us. A sure way for us. Mother Mary brings us to her Son Jesus. You know, this is important. Because when I go to find Jesus without Mary, I am not sure which Jesus I will find. Maybe some can find Jesus. But I find Him with Mother. I want to tell you all, this is most important, to stay close to the Mother Mary.
Rosie: And She will guide you to Jesus.
Mario: Mother Mary of Nazareth! Not Mother Mary of Medjugorje, of Lourdes, of Fatima...but of Nazareth! This same Mother Mary of Nazareth has been to Lourdes, has been to Fatima, is here for us [in Medjugorje]!
Mario knows the Mother! He wants us all to understand that we need to be her children. We need to speak to her every day from our hearts, sharing everything with her, simply, like children. And we need to listen for her words, her guidance. This is how we will grow in holiness. This is how we will be ready for the coming of the Holy Spirit. This is how we will help her heart to triumph!! Be her children, truly her children.
Thank you, Mario, for your witness. It brings us closer to our Mother, the Mother, Mary, our Mother.

We pray together to the Holy Spirit:

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful
and enkindle in them the fire of Thy love.
Amen.

Mary TV: May 19, 2020 Reflection - Give time patiently for prayer!

Mario Mijatovic speaking with Rosie - Tea with Rosie #290
(c) Mary TV 2020

May 19, 2020
Dear Family of Mary!

As Our Lady accompanied the Apostles in the upper room, as they awaited the Power from on high, she also accompanies us in these days. She is with us to teach us to pray and to receive the Holy Spirit. Here is one of her many messages about prayer. She is so simple and so right on:

July 25, 1994 "Dear children! Today I invite you to decide to give time patiently for prayer. Little children, you cannot say you are mine and that you have experienced conversion through my messages if you are not ready to give time to God every day. I am close to you and I bless you all. Little children, do not forget that if you do not pray you are not close to me, nor are you close to the Holy Spirit who leads you along the path to holiness. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Our Lady tells us "I invite you to decide to give time patiently for prayer." Truly she has built a prayer program in Medjugorje that demands a great deal of patience and decision. It takes patience and commitment to join the parish for three hours of prayer in the evenings, which include an hour of praying the Rosary, an hour for Holy Mass, and another hour of Rosaries or Adoration. This program alone teaches us how to decide to give time patiently for prayer.

Then there is the witness of the people who live in Medjugorje, the parishioners who have been present from the beginning of the apparitions. I find their witness to be a powerful gift. Somehow the fruit of patient and determined prayer just shines on their faces.

Mary TV recently received a sharing from Mario Mijatovic, the husband of Vicka, the visionary. Mario shares on "Tea with Rosie" episode 290, about what he has learned from Our Lady about prayer. You must experience Mario's sharing, because the Holy Spirit just emanates from his whole being!! But I want to just quote a little of what he says, because he makes the case very well for giving time patiently for prayer. It is the will to pray and the patience to continue to pray that create an openness to the Holy Spirit.

Mario Mijatovic, husband of Vicka Ivankovic Mijatovic
"Tea with Rosie: News from Medjugorje" #290, 5/18/2020,

Rosie:  Mario is the husband of Vicka and father of two children.  How are you and how is your family?
Mario:  Fine!  Thank you very much because you invited me.  In the beginning of this talk I tried to tell Rosie that I can't speak English...but she told me so many times, "Mario, you speak such good English."  Now you will see who is right!

Rosie:  During this time (corona virus lock-down) many, many people, past pilgrims, and pilgrims who would like to be here, are very unsettled because of the world situation.  So, you, personally, how are you coping with this time?
Mario:  In this time, I personally live like before - before this time.  Now (the time we are in) is a little different.  But my way is the same.  For me what is most important is in the morning, in the start of the day.  Personally, I try in the first thing when I open my eyes, when I open my mind in the morning: the first thing that is coming in the mind, in the heart, is very, very important!  Many times, the first thing that comes in the mind in the morning is the same thing that was in the mind when you went to sleep....   It is very good when a person starts his day, and finishes his day, in prayer, giving thanks to God, thanks to Jesus, because this helps him in the new day.   Medjugorje is a special gift because now here you have every time the possibility to go to the mountain...   In the morning, the best gift, when you wake up and you have the will, you have a good motive to stand up in the early morning and go to the mountain in prayer.

"A lot of priests here, including Fr. Slavko who is now with Mother Mary in Heaven, have given to us a beautiful example of how to start your day with the prayer on the mountain.   For this I know not everybody has the possibility to go to the mountain.  But it's important at least in your room to find time the first thing to thank God for the new day, to invite the Holy Spirit into your body...without the Holy Spirit there is nothing....  and this is a problem many times, to forget to pray to the Holy Spirit....to be given the Spirit, because afterwards when you see your wife, your children, the Holy Spirit exists in you. Without the Holy Spirit there is nothing....

It is the same for the man involved in sports who is a champion.  You ask him, "When did you start?"  They answer, "I started when I was young."  And you say, "Oh, really?! How many times in the week (do you practice)?"  "Oh, every day!!"  Every day they exercise.  "How many hours?"  "Five hours!!!!"   Five hours to be the champion.   It is the same for the spiritual life.  When I don't pray, when I don't have Mass, when I'm not reading the lives of the Saints, when these things are not coming inside of me - they stay out there....     Everything that you read, what you take in - the same with the Holy Mass, what you take, the Body of Christ, the Eucharist, the life of Jesus comes in here [pointing to his heart].  ....  Afterwards you come back to your home - when another person looks at you, coming home, they say- it's like Jesus is coming into the house! This is true, because Jesus, Alive, is coming with you into your house! (Tea with Rosie, #290)
Mario's words are very powerful. He is right. If we give ourselves to prayer, to Holy Mass, to the Eucharist, then the Holy Spirit can enter into us. From us it takes commitment and practice. Then God can infill us with His grace as He sees fit, and we can be His witnesses, His carriers, His friends.
In the message from July 25, 1994, Our Lady said, " Little children, do not forget that if you do not pray you are not close to me, nor are you close to the Holy Spirit who leads you along the path to holiness." Just as she has taught Mario, she teaches us that we have to just show up!! Climb the mountain, get on our knees at home, go to Mass, Pray the Rosary, read the Scriptures...and then the Holy Spirit will come to us and make His home in us, and people will say that when we come back to our homes, "It is like Jesus is coming into the house!"

We pray together to the Holy Spirit:

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful
and enkindle in them the fire of Thy love.
Amen.

Mary TV: May 18, 2020 Reflection - Open yourselves to God!

(c) Mary TV 2020

May 18, 2020
St. John I, Pope and Martyr
(100th Birthday of St. John Paul II)

Dear Family of Mary!

Jesus said to his disciples: "When the Advocate comes whom I will send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceed from the Father, he will testify to me..." (Jn 15:26)
As we near the end of the Easter Season, we celebrate two major Feasts, the Ascension of the Lord and Pentecost. In these two Feasts, we see the providence of God. Jesus goes to His Father to prepare a place for us, and He sends the Holy Spirit to give us everything we need to testify to Jesus, bringing many souls to Him.

It is important to remember that at both events, the Ascension and Pentecost, Our Lady was present, as a stabilizing influence for the Apostles and Disciples. Her faith would sustain them when they saw Jesus ascend into Heaven, keeping them focused on Jesus's promises and not on His absence. And since she had experienced the Power of the Holy Spirit many years before, when Jesus was conceived in her by that power when she said "yes" to the Angel's request, Mary understood what it would mean to say "yes" to the Spirit. It would change their lives completely. She knew what was ahead for the Apostles. And so, she was their best teacher, their best intercessor and guide in preparing for the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.

She is with us today, to help us through that same process. We need to be filled with the Holy Spirit anew. We need a fresh infilling. And so, Our Lady can help us prepare for Pentecost. She can teach us how to open our hearts to the coming of the Holy Spirit.

I hope we can take even one message a day over the next two weeks, and let Our Lady teach us how to receive the Holy Spirit. We will not regret it!

May 25, 1993 "Dear children! Today I invite you to open yourselves to God by means of prayer so the Holy Spirit may begin to work miracles in you and through you. I am with you and I intercede before God for each one of you because, dear children, each one of you is important in my plan of salvation. I invite you to be carriers of good and peace. God can give you peace only if you convert and pray. Therefore, my dear little children, pray, pray, pray and do that which the Holy Spirit inspires you. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Our Lady tells us to open ourselves to God by means of prayer. If we are not open to God, the Holy Spirit cannot work in us and through us. No miracles can happen through closed hearts. And we cannot be part of Her plan of salvation, if we are not filled with the Holy Spirit!!
Our hearts open and close. They open when we have faith, trust, and hope in God. They open when we desire God, and desire to hear from God. But they also close. They close when we are discouraged. They close when we get distracted by worldly desires. They close when we lose hope, or when we have been hurt by others. They close in self-defense. Closed hearts are no help to God. They are a big "no" to God.

What about our own hearts? Are they open or closed? Are we looking for God, desiring Him, trusting Him? Or are we turned in on ourselves, licking our wounds, feeling sad, distrusting His goodness.

How can we open our hearts if they are closed? Do we need confession, or more prayer? Maybe we need to journal and talk to Jesus honestly while writing it down. Often if we write down how we feel, we can read it and discover what is really going on in us. It does help to hear ourselves speak, on paper.

Today, our job is to discover what shape our hearts are in. Open or closed?

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful
and enkindle in them the fire of Thy love.
Amen.

Mary TV: May 15, 2020 Reflection - "I am with you..."

(c) Mary TV 2020

May 15, 2020
St. Isadore, the Farmer

Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children, this is a time of gratitude.  Today I ask love from you. Don't look for faults in others and don't judge others.  I expect you to love and to spread the truth because the truth is eternal, constant and always up to date.  Bring the light of my Son.  Drive out the darkness that wants to seize you more and take you far away from my Son, Jesus. Don't worry, I am with you.  Thank you for responding to my call. (May 4, 2020)

"Don't worry, I am with you..."
There is so much to worry about right now in our world. We all sense it. Fear is growing like an atomic mushroom cloud, growing so fast it might engulf us all. But Our Lady tells us not to worry. Set all fear aside as a temptation. Instead focus on one thing, that she is with us. She is with each one of us. Don't worry.

I discovered that in her messages from Medjugorje, Our Lady has told us at least 215 times that she is with us. "I am with you..." she says over and over in her messages. And she always couples the words "I am with you" with a beautiful aspect of her presence! As I read these words in each message, I realized that those sentences would make a very good litany for us to pray. So, I have compiled just a few of the times Our Lady told us she is with us, so we could pray them. Here is my first little litany.

Litany to Our Lady of Medjugorje: I am with you!
(the response is: Mother, I believe that you are with me)
I am with you and I want you to believe me, that I love you. (11/25/87)
I am with you and I am rejoicing because of your conversion and I am protecting you with my motherly mantle. (04/25/88)
I am with you even if you think there is no way out and that satan is in control. I am bringing peace to you I am your mother, the Queen of Peace. (07/25/88)
I am with you and I intercede for you in front of God, (11/25/88)
I am with you and unceasingly keep watch over every heart which is given to me. (02/25/89)
I am with you and I want to introduce you continuously to the joy of life. (05/25/89)
I am with you and I wish to teach you to pray with the heart. (10/25/89)
I am with you even if you are not conscious of it. I want to protect you from everything that satan offers you and through which he wants to destroy you. (03/25/90)
I am with you and I desire, dear children, that each one of you be ever closer to my heart. (04/25/90)
I am with you and I desire to help you to grow in renunciation and mortification, that you may be able to understand the beauty of the life of people who go on giving themselves to me in special way. (05/25/90)

I am with you and I desire to lead you along the same path to heaven, which is beautiful for those who discover it in prayer.   (08/25/90)
I am with you and day after day I offer your sacrifices and prayers to God for the salvation of the world. (11/25/90)
I am with you and I accompany you with my blessing and my prayers. (03/25/91)
I am with you and I am grateful to God for every moment spent with you. (04/25/91)
I am with you and I desire to help each of you to live and by living, to witness the good news. I am here, dear children, to help you and to lead you to heaven. (05/25/91)
I am with you and I love you with the immeasurable love of Jesus. (11/25/91)
I am with you and your suffering is also mine. (04/25/92)
I am with you and each day I bless you with my maternal blessing so that Our Lord may fill you abundantly with His grace for your daily life. (07/25/92)

Dearest Mother, we believe that you are with us, and we thank you that you have come.  We long to live our lives under your mantle, in the safety of your Immaculate Heart.  We want to listen to your messages and live them with love, so that many souls will be saved.  Thank you, dearest Mother, for being with us!

We can conclude with this marvelous prayer, Totus Tuus, to Our Lady. We can give ourselves to Mary, who is with us:

Totus Tuus (Totally Yours)
Immaculate Conception,
Mary my Mother,
Live in me,
Act in me,
Speak in me and through me,
Think your thoughts in my mind,
Love through my heart,
Give me your dispositions and feelings,
Teach, lead me and guide me to Jesus,
Correct, enlighten and expand my thoughts and behavior,
Possess my soul,
Take over my entire personality and life, replace it with Yourself,
Incline me to constant adoration,
Pray in me and through me,
Let me live in you and keep me in this union always.
© 1956, Mother Immaculata, OCD

Let's not give in to fear and worry, but turn to Our Mother who is with us - with complete trust - so that she can lead us to Jesus!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

PS. Don't forget to pray this short but powerful prayer to the Holy Spirit:

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful
and enkindle in them the fire of Thy love.
Amen.

Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Consecration to Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary,
Queen of Peace

On January 1, 2001 Our Lady gave a startling message. It reveals both the present status of satan and our instructions on what to do in regards to satan’s status in the world today. Our Lady’s message on January 1, 2001:
“My dear children, now that when satan is unchained, I desire you to be consecrated to My Heart and the Heart of My Son Jesus. I bless you with my Motherly blessing.”
These two Consecrations were given by Our Lady in Medjugorje. We strongly urge you to continue these consecration prayers in continuing to comply with Our Lady’s request on January 1, 2001 in regard to satan being unchained.

      See Consecration Prayers Below:

Consecration to Jesus

alt

O Jesus, we know that You are
merciful and that You gave
Your Heart for us, that was
crowned with thorns by our sins;
We know that even today You
are still ¬pleading with us so that
we will not be lost. Jesus,
remember us when we are in sin.

By means of Your Sacred Heart,
grant us, that all men love one
another; Cause hatred to
disappear from among men.

Show us Your Love,
for we all love You,
and want You to protect us
with your Shepherd’s Heart
and free us from all sin.

Jesus, enter into each heart.
Knock on the door of our hearts.
Be patient and unwearied with us.
We are still closed, since we still have
not yet understood Your love for us.

Knock persistently and grant,
O Good Jesus, that we open our hearts
to You, at least when we will have
remembered the passion
You suffered for us. Amen.

Consecration to Mary

alt

O Immaculate Heart of Mary,
overflowing with goodness,
show us Your love for us.
May the flame of Your heart,
O Mary, descend upon all mankind.

We love You so.
Impress true love in our hearts
that we may have a continuous
desire for You.

O Mary, meek and humble of heart,
remember us when we are in sin.
You know that all men sin.
Grant to us by means of
Your Immaculate Heart, to be
healed from every spiritual illness.

In doing so, we then will be able
to gaze upon the goodness
of Your Maternal Heart,
and thus be converted through
the flame of Your Heart. Amen
