Mary TV: April 30, 2020 Reflection - Come Holy Spirit, strengthen us

(c)Mary TV 2020

April 30, 2020
St. Pius V, Pope
Dear Family of Mary!
"Dear children! May this time be an incentive for personal conversion for you. Pray, little children, in solitude to the Holy Spirit to strengthen you in faith and trust in God, that you may be worthy witnesses of the love which God bestows upon you through my presence. Little children, do not permit trials to harden your heart and for prayer to be like a desert. Be a reflection of God's love and witness the Risen Jesus by your lives. I am with you and I love all of you with my motherly love. Thank you for having responded to my call." (April 25, 2020)

"Pray, little children, in solitude to the Holy Spirit to strengthen you in faith and trust in God..."
Our Lady counsels us to go into solitude and pray to the Holy Spirit. Though it may help to go to our room, or find a quiet spot out of doors, the greatest solitude can be found within. Our hearts are our inner chamber where only we can go. It is there that we find silence and a sense of our personal space. And it is there that we can encounter our God in safety and honesty and peace. So, we can see why Our Lady would want us to find that place when we go to pray to the Holy Spirit.
What does she want us to receive? Stronger faith and stronger trust in God. These two things we need if we are going to be able to withstand the trials to come. We need to be absolutely sure of God, sure that He exists and that He is with us, sure that He loves us and that He will never abandon us. We need to be filled with trust in His power to save us and to deliver us from all evil. Rock solid must be our faith. Our hearts need to be firm.
And so, today let's again pray to the Holy Spirit in our inner solitude, our inner chamber where only God can come. Let's ask the Holy Spirit to strengthen our faith and our trust in God...
Veni Creator
Come, O Creator Spirit blest!
And in our souls take up Thy rest;
Come with Thy grace and heavenly aid,
To fill the hearts which Thou hast made.
Great Paraclete! To Thee we cry,
O highest gift of God most high!
O font of life! O fire of love!
And sweet anointing from above.
Thou in Thy sevenfold gifts art known,
The finger of God's hand we own;
The promise of the Father, Thou!
Who dost the tongue with power endow.
Kindle our senses from above,
And make our hearts overflow with love;
With patience firm and virtue high
The weakness of our flesh supply.
Far from us drive the foe we dread,
And grant us Thy true peace instead;
So shall we not, with Thee for guide,
Turn from the path of life aside.
Oh, may Thy grace on us bestow
The Father and the Son to know,
And Thee, through endless times confessed,
Of both, the eternal Spirit blest.
All glory while the ages run
Be to the Father and the Son
Who rose from death; the same to Thee,
O Holy Ghost, eternally.
Amen.

Mary TV: April 29, 2020 Reflection - Pray to the Holy Spirit

(c)Mary TV 2020

April 29, 2020
St. Catherine of Siena, Virgin, Doctor of the Church

"Pray, little children, in solitude to the Holy Spirit..."
Let's do exactly as Our Lady counsels us. Let's find a spot where we are alone, in quiet, without distraction, and pray to the Holy Spirit. He is the Gift from the Father and the Son. He is the power of God, lavished upon us at Baptism and through all the Sacraments, bringing us into the Heart of the Trinity. We will do well to pray in solitude, slowly and with open hearts to our dear Holy Spirit!

Here is a prayer to the Holy Spirit by St. Catherine of Siena whose feast day is today:

Holy Spirit, come into my heart; draw it to Thee by Thy power, O my God, and grant me charity with filial fear. Preserve me, O ineffable Love, from every evil thought; warm me, inflame me with Thy dear love, and every pain will seem light to me. My Father, my sweet Lord, help me in all my actions. Jesus, love, Jesus, love. Amen.

And now a litany that we can savor in our solitude!!
Litany to the Holy Spirit
Lord, have mercy on us.
Lord, have mercy on us.
Christ, have mercy on us.
Christ, have mercy on us.
Lord, have mercy on us.
Lord, have mercy on us.
Christ hear us.
Christ graciously hear us.
God the Father of Heaven,
Have mercy on us.
God the Son, Redeemer of the world,
Have mercy on us.
God the Holy Spirit,
Have mercy on us.
Holy Trinity, One God,
Have mercy on us.

Divine Essence, one true God,
Have mercy on us
Spirit of truth and wisdom,

Most loving Father,
forgive us.
Divine Word,
have pity on us.
Holy and divine Spirit,
leave us not until we are in possession of the Divine Essence, Heaven of heavens.
Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world,
Send us the divine Consoler.
Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world,
Fill us with the gifts of Thy Spirit.
Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world,
Make the fruits of the Holy Spirit increase within us.
V. Come, O Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful,
R. And enkindle in them the fire of Thy love.

Mary TV: April 28, 2020 Update from Denis - Because you are chosen!

April 28, 2020
Feast Day of Saint Louis de Montfort

Dear Mary TV Shipmates,

Today is the Feast Day of St. Louis de Montfort.  St. Louis loved Our Lady and grew to understand the importance of her role in salvation history. He believed that in the last days, Our Lady would be raised up by God to bring in the return of Christ. He wrote the book, "True Devotion to Mary" to share his prophetic insight into Our Lady's role. I believe that we are now in that time, the age of Mary, in which she has come to crush the head of Satan.

In his 1987 encyclical Redemptoris Mater, St. John Paul ll asked everyone to read St. Louis de Montfort's book, "True Devotion to Mary", in order to understand the importance of Mary in this age.  Twice he made that request!  The book had been instrumental in giving St. John Paul ll, the "Spark from Poland" sent to prepare the world for Jesus final coming, his own relationship with Mary!

I remember the day my wife started re-reading it.  It was June 1, 2012.  Cathy shook the book at me in frustration: "Who are these Predestinate?!!"   St. Louis de Montfort had written in "True Devotion to Mary" that they would be the greatest saints in the history of the Church!  Back to St. Peter, the saints in heaven would look with awe at who got to be alive in that day, who along with Mary and under her mantle would crush the head of Satan!

The next day we discovered that Our Lady was telling us who the predestinate are...It's us!  The apostles of Our Lady of Medjugorje.  Simply because we are chosen!  Listen to her words to us in this important message:
"Dear children, I am continuously among you because, with my endless love, I desire to show you the door of Heaven. I desire to tell you how it is opened: through goodness, mercy, love and peace - through my Son. Therefore, my children, do not waste time on vanities. Only knowledge of the love of my Son can save you. Through that salvific love and the Holy Spirit, He chose me and I, together with Him, am choosing you to be apostles of His love and will. My children, great is the responsibility upon you. I desire that by your example you help sinners regain their sight, enrich their poor souls and bring them back into my embrace. Therefore, pray, pray, fast and confess regularly. If receiving my Son in the Eucharist is the center of your life then do not be afraid, you can do everything. I am with you. Every day I pray for the shepherds and I expect the same of you. Because, my children, without their guidance and strengthening through their blessing, you cannot do it. Thank you." (06/02/2012)

Here is another message in which she explained our role in her plan: "God has chosen each one of you in order to use you for the great plan of salvation of mankind. You cannot comprehend how great your role is in God's plan.  Pray, dear children, so that through prayer you can comprehend God's plan through you.  I am with you so that you can realize it completely!" (01/ 25/ 1987)

Knowing how important Our Lady's presence in Medjugorje is, and how we have been called to be her apostles, I want to share with you a fruit of our response together to Our Lady's call. For many years you have been supporting Mary TV, with your prayers and donations, as we attempted to build a studio and purchase expensive equipment that could stream on the internet, in high definition, the events in Medjugorje. You have helped us develop our very intricate streaming system, and to hire and train wonderful technicians to run the studio. And just when we had set everything up something happened!   The world was locked down due to the corona virus pandemic.

Due to the pandemic, Medjugorje found itself without pilgrims all spring.  But because of your support, Mary TV was ready to bring Medjugorje to the pilgrims, in a dramatic and beautiful way. We were able to continue our programing, and we were in place to help the parish of Medjugorje capture and stream the Masses and Rosaries, the Adoration and Healing Prayer from the Church to several internet outlets.

And with our help, the parish just announced that the number of people connected with Medjugorje in prayer has never been greater! They announced: "On TV the evening program of prayer from Medjugorje's church, St. James, through Live Stream service was broadcast and followed by 3,877,377 individual IP addresses - the exact number of faithful is very hard to be estimated." How happy we are to help St. James Parish reach pilgrims from around the world!!

Our Lady must also be grateful.  Every time I made an appeal in order to upgrade and advance technology you responded!  And so, we were in place just in time to help the parish.  (It's Mary TV's camera in the Church that has been filming the Masses and evening programs of prayer.  And Mary TV's advanced communication technologies are sending the parish's stream to their YouTube and Facebook pages.)

You might note again that in my March 9th Update I mention that people in thousands of cities throughout the world are connected to Medjugorje through Mary TV:   https://marytv.tv/march-9-2020-update-from-denis-meeting-todays-challenges/

And Mary TV's Internet Medjugorje TV channel continues airing in High Definition - 24/7 - on our website, and is also available on Amazon Firestick, Roku and Apple TV.

We're able to continue giving this gift to Our Lady because we're working together....  Thank you for helping us be ready when we were most needed!

God bless you!

Mary TV: April 28, 2020 Reflection - St. Louis de Montfort, pray for us!

(c)Mary TV 2020

April 28, 2020
St. Peter Chanel
St. Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort

Dear Family of Mary!

Today is a special feast day, the memorial of St. Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort. St. Louis was born in 1673, and became a Dominican priest who loved the poor, lived humbly and had a great devotion to Our Lady. He wrote "True Devotion to Mary" in which he shared his understanding of Our Lady's role in the latter days, but it was not published before his death. It was found many years later, in 1842 and after much study, was published in 1853. He understood in a prophetic way the role that Our Lady would play in the last days. He was certain she was indispensable to the return of Jesus Christ. He wrote "True Devotion to Mary" to explain Mary's role in the coming of Christ.

One of the things that he said was that Mary would become present to souls, who would become united to her in love. These souls would glorify God in the last days. Here is an excerpt from "True Devotion to Mary" in which he describes those souls who loved Mary:

Communication of the spirit of Mary
217. The soul of Mary will be communicated to you to glorify the Lord. Her spirit will take the place of yours to rejoice in God, her Savior, but only if you are faithful to the practices of this devotion. As St. Ambrose says, "May the soul of Mary be in each one of us to glorify the Lord! May the spirit of Mary be in each one of us to rejoice in God!" "When will that happy day come," asks a saintly man of our own day whose life was completely wrapped up in Mary, "when God's Mother is enthroned in men's hearts as Queen, subjecting them to the dominion of her great and princely Son? When will souls breathe Mary as the body breathes air?"
When that time comes wonderful things will happen on earth. The Holy Spirit, finding his dear Spouse present again in souls, will come down into them with great power. He will fill them with his gifts, especially wisdom, by which they will produce wonders of grace. My dear friend, when will that happy time come, that age of Mary, when many souls, chosen by Mary and given her by the most High God, will hide themselves completely in the depths of her soul, becoming living copies of her, loving and glorifying Jesus? That day will dawn only when the devotion I teach is understood and put into practice. Ut adveniat regnum tuum, adveniat regnum Mariae: "Lord, that your kingdom may come, may the reign of Mary come!" (N 217 - True Devotion to Mary. St. Louis de Montfort)

"When will that happy day come???" I believe that that day has come, in Medjugorje! Our Lady has come to fill us with her soul and spirit, by teaching us how to love her Son and receive the Holy Spirit. In fact, we are being "wrapped up in Mary" just like that saintly man St. Louis described. (I think he was referring to himself!)
September 25, 2019 "Dear children! Today I am calling you to pray for my intentions so that I may help you. Little children, pray the Rosary and meditate the mysteries of the Rosary because, in your life, you are also passing through joys and sorrows. In this way, you are transforming the mysteries into your life, because life is a mystery until you place it into God's hands. In this way, you will have the experience of faith like Peter who met Jesus and the Holy Spirit filled his heart. Little children, you are also called to witness by living the love with which, day by day, God wraps you with my presence. Therefore, little children, be open and pray with the heart in faith. Thank you for having responded to my call."

You see, she tells us what God is doing today:

"Little children, you are also called to witness by living the love with which, day by day, God wraps you with my presence."
We are being "wrapped up in Mary", just as St. Louis described. We are those souls who breathe Mary just as the body breaths air!! This is the age of Mary!! She has come down to us and she has chosen us to be living copies of herself.

When St. Louis wrote these words, no one could have imagined Our Lady would actually come to be present in a little village in a remote part of Hercegovina. St. Louis would not have been able to predict such an event. But the fruit is evident now. Many, many souls have encountered Our Lady in Medjugorje, and are now living according to her school, bringing her love and truth to a world so much in need of it.

Thank you St. Louis de Montfort, for boldly writing these prophetic words, and trusting that even though you would never see them published and spread throughout the Church in your lifetime, they would one day be discovered and published when the time was right. Please pray for us, that in our day we can be faithful to Our Mother and Queen, as you were, and live her messages with trust so that one day in the future, we will bear fruit for the salvation of the world.
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mary TV: April 27, 2020 Reflection - Personal Conversion

(c)Mary TV 2020

April 27, 2020
Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children! May this time be an incentive for personal conversion for you. Pray, little children, in solitude to the Holy Spirit to strengthen you in faith and trust in God, that you may be worthy witnesses of the love which God bestows upon you through my presence. Little children, do not permit trials to harden your heart and for prayer to be like a desert. Be a reflection of God's love and witness the Risen Jesus by your lives. I am with you and I love all of you with my motherly love. Thank you for having responded to my call." (April 25, 2020)

"Dear children! May this time be an incentive for personal conversion for you...
It is a comfort to know that Our Lady is with us in this moment in history. She is with us as we face the coronavirus pandemic. She is with us as we spend our days at home, enduring the limits of social distancing. She is with us as we work in the hospitals and medical facilities to aid the sick. She is with us as we support necessary industries and businesses. She is with those of us who are sick, and those who are dying. She is with us in this very difficult time.

She knows we are facing a world changing moment. And so, what does she advise us to do? "May this time be an incentive for personal conversion for you..." She advises us to go into prayer, go into our hearts, and use this time for our personal conversion.

Our shipmate, Tracy, asked me for a simple explanation of what conversion means. I had to think about it. And here is what I came up with:

The word convert can mean to "turn".  It can also mean to "change".  But I like the idea that to convert means to change direction or to make a turn causing you to go in a new direction.
"Personal conversion" then means that we come to a moment in which we change the direction of our personal life, we choose a new destination, we adjust our sights and we decide to aim at something better.  We convert in our hearts, meaning that what we love has changed.  We long for something new.

So you can see that "personal conversion" would have to do with deciding to change the aim of one's life, while letting go of some things we have been aiming at, desiring, working towards, or following.

And of course we know that Our Lady wants us to adjust our sights so that we are clearly focused on Jesus, with the desire to be totally consecrated to Him, living for Him, loving Him, and desiring eternal life with Him. This entails letting go of worldly goals, temporal profit, and yes, sin. Anything that distances us from Jesus must be left behind.

This is an opportunity to recalibrate our lives. We can evaluate our choices to be sure they are leading us to Christ. We have the time right now. We have the solitude. We have the longing in our hearts increased by the absence of the Sacraments that we so need. Now is the time!
This is a watershed moment, and we need to take stock of where we are with God, right now. We need to look at the course we have charted for our lives and decide if our goals and our desires are the best ones for our souls now. Where are we going, if we stay the course we have been on? And where should we be going?

May Our Lady guide us as we use this time as an incentive for conversion. May she be our spiritual director. May her mantle be over us, and her love surround us as we convert, choosing Christ as our all in all.

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mary TV: April 24, 2020 Reflection - God will hear our cries...

(c)Mary TV

April 24, 2020
St. Fidelis of Sigmaringen

Dear Family of Mary!
"Dear children! I am with you all these years to lead you to the way of salvation.  Return to my Son; return to prayer and fasting. Little children, permit for God to speak to your heart, because Satan is reigning and wants to destroy your lives and the earth on which you walk. Be courageous and decide for holiness.  You will see conversion in your hearts and families; prayer will be heard; God will hear your cries and give you peace. I am with you and am blessing you all with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call." (March 25, 2020)

I love this message! I love the strength of this call! Our Lady sounds like Joan of Arc, rousing the troops and calling them into battle!! In the midst of the pandemic, with nations crippled by disease and economic chaos, Our Lady calls us to turn to God, to return to prayer and fasting, to again convert, to have courage and to decide for holiness. This is the call of a valiant leader.

But have we responded? Have we permitted God to speak to our hearts?

She told us that Satan IS REIGNING! Can we deny these words? Satan is in control of so much in our world today. Wherever money and power are, the enemy is there. We don't like to think it, but satan has infected many of our institutions, twisting and manipulating them to deny God and the good of Human Life. He wants to destroy us all.

But Our Lady is with us, she is blessing us. And she assures us that if we turn to God, it is not too late to see miracles of deliverance and healing. So, let's let her words of March 25, 2020 resound in our hearts and our souls, and respond with a yes!! We will do all that she says:
"Dear children!
I am with you all these years...
to lead you to the way of salvation...
Return to my Son...
return to prayer and fasting...
Little children...
permit for God to speak to your heart...
because Satan is reigning...
and wants to destroy your lives...
and the earth on which you walk...
Be courageous...
and decide for holiness...
You will see conversion in your hearts and families...
prayer will be heard...
God will hear your cries...
and give you peace...
I am with you...
and am blessing you all with my motherly blessing...
Thank you for having responded to my call."

Mary TV: April 23, 2020 Reflection - Faces transformed in prayer

(c)Mary TV / Anthony Zubac 2019

April 23, 2020
St. George, Martyr
St. Adalbert, Bishop, Martyr

Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children! In this time of grace, I desire to see your faces transformed in prayer. You are so flooded by earthly concerns; you do not even feel that spring is at the threshold. You are called, little children, to penance and prayer. As nature fights in silence for new life, also you are called to open yourselves in prayer to God, in Whom you will find the peace and warmth of the spring sun in your hearts. Thank you for having responded to my call." (February 25, 2020)

This message was given to us just as the Coronavirus was beginning to spread all over the world. Soon our lives would be altered on a grand scale. Nations would be isolated, and people would be quarantined in their homes. Soon we would not be able to go to Church or gather in public. Indeed, we were flooded by earthly concerns at that time. The viral pandemic was growing. It was hard not to be glued to the news.

But Our Lady wanted us to get our eyes off the world situation. She didn't want us to be fixated on fear. Instead she called us to be transformed by prayer, so that our faces glowed with the peace and trust that only the Holy Spirit can inspire. She wanted us to keep our eyes fixed on the Light of the World. All our answers would come from Jesus. (I don't want to diminish the fight for the lives of those who are ill or the fight to keep people from contracting the virus. That fight is very important. And we must support it as best we can. But we also must do spiritual battle for the life of our souls, and all the souls around us. And that fight is done in prayer.)

Mary has come to give us peace, to bring us into the Kingdom of Peace, the Kingdom of her Son. She told us so in another message:

"Dear children! I am carrying to you the King of Peace that He may give you His peace. You, little children, pray, pray, pray. The fruit of prayer will be seen on the faces of the people who have decided for God and His Kingdom. I, with my Son Jesus, bless you all with a blessing of peace. Thank you for having responded to my call." (December 25, 2013)

Our Mother brings us her Son, the King of Peace. We must pray, pray, pray, to receive Him. When we do, the fruit of that prayer "will be seen on the faces of the people who have decided for God and His Kingdom." Our faces will be transformed in prayer! That is really important! Our faces will look different if we are people who pray, pray, pray. Our faces will radiate peace.

We are in a fight these days. It is a fight for life. It is a fight for the temporal lives of all who contract the virus. But it is also a fight for the life that God has given us, the life of our souls, the life that will last for all eternity. We are fighting for salvation, for the blessings of peace.

"As nature fights in silence for new life, also you are called to open yourselves in prayer to God, in Whom you will find the peace and warmth of the spring sun in your hearts...."

We are in a fight for the new life of grace! And we will win, because we have Our Lady on our side. And with our transformed faces full of peace, we will draw many other souls into that same life, the life of God.

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mary TV: April 22, 2020 Reflection - There must be holiness in the family...

There must be holiness in the families...

April 22, 2020
Dear Family of May!

"Dear children! Today I am calling you to pray even more, until you feel the holiness of forgiveness in your heart. There must be holiness in the families, little children, because there is no future for the world without love and holiness - because in holiness and joy, you give yourselves to God the Creator who loves you with immeasurable love. This is why He sends me to you. Thank you for having responded to my call." (January 25, 2020)

Our families are so important. We are bound together, for good or ill. So many blessings come through our families...the first being our lives. But so many wounds can also come through the family as well. So we have to seek holiness and forgiveness, constantly. It is key for our future.

St. John Paul II poured himself out trying to bless and heal the family throughout his pontificate. He gave us so much good teaching, so much counsel and light!! So, I looked for a prayer written by him for the family and found this beautiful prayer written to Our Lady of Guadalupe. Let's pray it in response to the January 25, 2020 message:

St. John Paul II visited Mexico the first year of his pontificate in 1979. He visited the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe and recited the prayer below.
Prayer to Our Lady of Guadalupe by St. John Paul II
O Virgin of Guadalupe, Mother of the Americas,
grant to our homes the grace of loving and respecting life in its beginnings, with the same love with which you conceived in your womb the life of the Son of God.

Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Fair love,
protect our families so that they may always be united
and bless the upbringing of our children.

Our hope, look upon us with pity,
teach us to go continually to Jesus,
and if we fall, help us to rise again
and return to him through the confession of our faults and our sins
in the sacrament of penance, which gives peace to the soul.

We beg you to grant us a great love of all the holy sacraments,
which are, as it were, the signs that your Son left us on earth.

Thus, Most Holy Mother,
with the peace of God in our consciences,
with our hearts free from evil and hatred,
we will be able to bring to all others true joy and true peace,
which come to us from your Son,
our Lord Jesus Christ,
who with the Father and the Holy Spirit,
lives and reigns for ever and ever.
Amen.
Thank you, St. John Paul II!! Pray for us!!
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mary TV: April 21, 2020 Reflection - "I am carrying my Son Jesus to you."

Baby Jesus

The Infant Jesus in the Creche Scene at St. James Church, Medjugorje

April 21, 2020
St. Anselm, Bishop, Doctor of the Church

Dear Family of Mary!

On Saturday, the 25th of April, we await a new message. So, for the next four days let's review the messages we have received the last four months on the 25th, from December 2019 to March 2020. One each day!!
December 25, 2019 "Dear children! I am carrying my Son Jesus to you, for Him to bless you and reveal to you His love, which comes from Heaven. Your heart yearns for peace, of which there is less and less on earth. That is why people are far from God and souls are sick and heading towards spiritual death. I am with you, little children, to lead you on this way of salvation to which God calls you. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Our Lady told us on that Christmas day that she was carrying Baby Jesus to us. We are told by Vicka that on every Christmas Day, Our Lady comes to her holding the infant Jesus. And Our Lady told us again this Christmas that she brings little Jesus "for Him to bless you...". It is hard for us to comprehend how Our Lady could bring the Infant Jesus to us. We don't understand the reality of eternal life outside of our time. It is a mystery for us. But she brings Him to us to bless us and to reveal His love to us.

St. Faustina had just such encounters with the Infant Jesus during her life. Here is one of them:

1442. + When I arrived at Midnight Mass, from the very beginning I steeped myself in deep recollection, during which time I saw the stable of Bethlehem filled with great radiance. The Blessed Virgin, all lost in the deepest of love, was wrapping Jesus in swaddling clothes, but Saint Joseph was still asleep. Only after the Mother of God put Jesus in the manger, did the light of God awaken Joseph, who was also praying. But after a while, I was left alone with the Infant Jesus who stretched out His little hands to me, and I understood that I was to take Him in my arms. Jesus pressed His head against my heart and gave me to know, by His profound gaze, how good He found it to be next to my heart. At that moment Jesus disappeared and the bell was ringing for Holy Communion. (Diary 1442)

What a blessing St. Faustina received!! Jesus pressed His Head against her heart! He showed her how much He loved to be near her. It was a gift of love like no other!

Our Lady wanted us to experienced Jesus in a similar way last Christmas. Why? Because we needed (and still need) that experience. We were yearning (and still yearn) for peace, and there was and is less and less peace to be had on earth. Many found (and still find) themselves far away from God, with sick souls and spiritual death threatening them. We all could see (and still see) that spiral of sickness and spiritual death all around us. We knew (and still know) that we need to be led out of that spiral. And we knew (and still know) that it is Our Lady who has been sent to lead us to safety.

Looking back, we can see how prophetic Our Lady's words were for us. But we can still respond to them. Our Lady is still with us. Yes, things have changed. We can no longer travel to Medjugorje. Most of us cannot attend Holy Mass or receive Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament sacramentally. We are isolated from one another. Life is at a standstill. But this will not stop the Infant Jesus from coming to us and resting His little Head on our hearts. This will not stop Him from consoling us and saving us. He will come if we pray. He will come if we yearn for Him, the One who is peace!

Thank you dearest Mother for bringing Little Jesus to us even now. We long for Him.

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mary TV: April 20, 2020 Reflection - Our hearts sing for joy!

Jesus Divine Mercy

Jesus Divine Mercy!!

April 20, 2020
Dear Family of Mary!

We are still lingering in the afterglow of Divine Mercy Sunday. We want to sing our praises to God for all He has done for us. Divine Mercy!!!

Our Lady spoke of singing in this message:

June 25, 2015 "Dear children! Also today the Most High gives me the grace to be able to love you and to call you to conversion. Little children, may God be your tomorrow and not war and lack of peace; not sorrow but joy and peace must begin to reign in the heart of every person - but without God you will never find peace. Therefore, little children, return to God and to prayer so that your heart may sing with joy. I am with you and I love you with immeasurable love. Thank you for having responded to my call."

May our hearts sing with joy! Why? Because Jesus has died and is risen from the dead. Because His Mercy is flowing over us in torrents, and we are so blessed! Because God is our tomorrow! Because we are returning to prayer! Because Our Lady is with us to help us!

Here is a song of joy that St. Faustina wrote about Divine Mercy:

522. + The mercy of the Lord I will sing forever,
Before all the people will I sing it,
For it is God's greatest attribute
And for us an unending miracle.

You gush forth from the Divine Trinity,
But from one single womb filled with love.
The mercy of the Lord will be revealed in the soul
In all its fullness, when the veil falls.

From the fountain of Your mercy, O Lord,
Flows all happiness and life,
And thus, all creatures and the whole of creation
Sing out in ecstasy a song of mercy.

The bowels of God's mercy are opened for us
Through the life of Jesus, stretched on the cross.
O sinner, you must not doubt or despair,
But trust in mercy, for you also can become holy.

Two streams in the form of rays
have gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus
Not for Angels, nor Cherubim, nor Seraphim,
But for the salvation of sinful man.

May God be our tomorrow!! May the Divine Mercy sing in our hearts forever!!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Sr. Emmanuel: Letter to my Friends

COM Logo

Medjugorje, Divine Mercy Sunday, April 19, 2020

My dear Friends, Christ our joy is risen!

1 - Reminder of Mary's message conveyed on the Feast of the Annunciation on March 25th:

"Dear children! I am with you all these years to lead you to the way of salvation. Return to my Son; return to prayer and fasting. Little children, permit God to speak to your heart, because Satan is reigning and wants to destroy your lives and the earth on which you walk. Be courageous and decide for holiness. You will see conversion in your hearts and families; prayer will be heard; God will hear your cries and give you peace. I am with you and am blessing you all with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call."

2 - Some local news... Outwardly, nothing has changed, the village remains deserted and silent! But internally, beautiful things are happening, bonds are becoming stronger between communities, people are helping each other with shopping and errands, people have the time to speak on the phone which is almost impossible when everything is "normal". In a word, the Lord is strengthening our brotherly bonds, something He is so good at doing!

We are praying for 3 people in the parish who are victims of the coronavirus. Father Ante, who was hospitalized in Mostar, went home to the Father on Saturday 18, at the age of 77. He had already dealt with several viruses in Africa.

Also 2 religious' sisters from the retirement home convent in Miletina have gone to their rest. Father Ante passed away, as did Saint John Paul II, during the vigil of Divine Mercy Sunday in April 2005. The other Franciscan friars are doing well, thanks be to God! It is a great joy for them to be together in their ordinary community life, while respecting the prescribed distances!

The live-streamed Medjugorje evening Mass was followed by a vast number of people (3,516,903 on April 16th). It is beautiful to see how spiritual Communion is increasingly well understood and more widely practiced. Even though we can't wait to get back to sacramental Communion! http://www.medjugorje.hr/it/multimedia/live-streaming/

As for Father Jozo Zovko? He is living in his community in Zagreb like all the Franciscans of that parish. It is not yet known whether he will be able to preach at his summer retreats on the island of Badija the way he has done in recent years. Those retreats planned before that date will be postponed to October, God willing!

The visionaries are sheltered in their family homes, like all of us.  Marija has sent this lovely fraternal note to us: "God overblessyou my dearest! With the Risen Jesus in our hearts and the Gospa with us, we lack for nothing. We are also in prayer, just as the Gospa taught us from the very beginning. Prayer holds first place, and conversion in the family. A big kiss to all of you!" Your Marija.

As for our house, well, we are still in good health and continuing to make our videos despite our limited technical resources. For instance, it takes 1 hour to send a 5-minute film to France for editing, so that it can be posted on YouTube and Facebook, etc. You may have noticed our "amateurish" skills in editing, and the photos don't always have the best resolution... Nevertheless, it is all being done with love to reach out to you wherever you are during this ordeal of confinement, and so impatient to see the end of this pandemic!

Just so you can get a glimpse of the 3 workers who are carrying out this task, and so that you can keep praying for us even more, here is a picture taken a few years ago of Nancy (my American assistant now in Medj), Gaby (who is stuck in France) and myself.

Here is a glimpse of our simple daily life as recluses in the home, and how we alternate between filming and peeling...

3 - We supported the "finducovitd19" ("endofcovid19") initiative before Easter and received a beautiful sign of God's blessing! On Holy Saturday, the number of nations affected by Covid19 was 193. On that day, according to the site's statistics, Christians from 193 nations had pledged to pray with us and invoke the Name of Jesus at 3pm. On that same day, the number who died was 103,000; and on our website, we found that there were 103,000 people praying! God loves to give us such small signs of encouragement! We will continue to invoke the name of Jesus at 3 p.m. until the end of the pandemic. contact@finducovid19.com

4. The Blood and the Glory!  Great is the joy in our hearts, for Christ is risen! This joy cannot be taken away from us. However, this Easter celebration is marked by great suffering, which in many cases is unprecedented. This has made me think a great deal about a woman who established the connection between intolerable suffering and glory, two intertwined realities that the world is experiencing today. This woman is St. Veronica, known for wiping the face of Jesus on the way to Calvary.

According to Venerable Martha Robin, her real name was Seraphia. She was a cousin of the Blessed Mother and barely older than her. She loved and adored Jesus, and fed Him in the Temple when His parents lost him at the age of 12. When she heard the screams and agitation in the street under her windows, and saw that Jesus was in custody and carrying His cross, her heart skipped a beat and she rushed off to the sinister procession of Roman soldiers, Pharisees and onlookers who were accompanying Jesus toward His crucifixion. God only knows how she managed to get close to Him, given that the Romans and other guards with their horses formed an impassable barrier. She set off, however, knowing that she could be exposed to serious injury or even death. But love does not care about barriers and knows how to open a breach! There she was, standing before Jesus, a disfigured, unrecognizable Jesus who no longer looked human. She barely had time to wipe His face before being kicked out by the Roman guards. However, when she locked eyes with Jesus, that gaze was something she would never forget! Then Seraphia realized that Jesus' face had been etched onto her veil... An unbelievable marvel! The relic of all relics!

But there was more there than a relic on the cloth: Jesus had another gift for her, rewarding her wildly loving gesture towards Him: He etched the Fire of His own Heart onto hers so that she could carry within her the seal of Christ's love. Henceforth Seraphia was a different person. For the remainder of her life, she would feel the burning fire of charity in her.

5 - Why this story today?  The Church is in agony. The shepherds are without their flock, the sheep are without a shepherd, and the churches are closed. No public Masses, no sacraments, no prayer gatherings... However, as the Gospa told us last year, "The Church is my Son!" The Church is like her Master, she endures violence and looks beaten. Some are even leaving her in a fit of spite. But this is not the time for abandonment!! On the contrary, this is the time when, like Seraphia, we go before Jesus who is a prisoner in chains to show Him our unconditional love.

Far from whining and complaining, we want to welcome the Crucified One, who rose from the dead, was victorious over Evil, and who will transform the brand of blood that is making us suffer inside into a flame of love and glory. After this trial, however difficult, there is before us the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart prepared by God. It is by worshipping our King that we will hasten this Triumph. In adoration, Jesus' beautiful gaze will not fail to look deep into our soul, communicating His flame, and healing it from emptiness and fear.

6 - New hope! After 24 countries consecrated themselves to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus on March 20th, France has taken a small first step. Mgr. Marc Aillet from Bayonne invited the faithful to be united for the Consecration of France to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, which he will carry out on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 19, in private. A great big thank you to this Bishop! See the link:

Dearest Gospa, we are so blessed to have you with us! You have often told us, "I am with you and I intercede for each of you before God." Now, in the midst of this ordeal, we appreciate your maternal tenderness and the power of your prayer more than ever! Thank you for never tiring us, and for supporting us no matter what!
