Mary TV: January 31, 2018 Reflection - Read Sacred Scripture

St. John Bosco
Dear Family of Mary!

"...Open your hearts and read the Sacred Scripture, that through the testimonies you also may be closer to God..." (January 25, 2018)

The Sacred Scriptures are indescribable. They are revealed truth! In them we find God's truth made tangible in teachings and in stories. I think it is the stories that Our Lady is referring to as the "testimonies". The stories in the Bible are true and also enact the Truth for us. Old and New Testaments contain God's word for us, God's way of seeing things, God's heart of love.

There are many testimonies in the Bible, stories of conversion like Regina Collins' story that I quoted yesterday. And right away I think of the story of St. Paul's conversion. It is very much like Regina's story. St. Paul not only did not believe in Jesus; he was persecuting everyone who did. Regina did not like God at all. She was angry with God and took it out on others. Both of them were hard cases to crack.

But in both cases we see how God, in his tender mercy, found a way to reveal Himself to them. Here is St. Paul's "testimony" found in Acts 22:3-16:

"I am a Jew, born at Tarsus in Cili'cia, but brought up in this city at the feet of Gama'li-el, educated according to the strict manner of the law of our fathers, being zealous for God as you all are this day. I persecuted this Way to the death, binding and delivering to prison both men and women, as the high priest and the whole council of elders bear me witness. From them I received letters to the brethren, and I journeyed to Damascus to take those also who were there and bring them in bonds to Jerusalem to be punished.

"As I made my journey and drew near to Damascus, about noon a great light from heaven suddenly shone about me. And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, `Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?' And I answered, `Who are you, Lord?' And he said to me, `I am Jesus of Nazareth whom you are persecuting.'

"Now those who were with me saw the light but did not hear the voice of the one who was speaking to me. And I said, `What shall I do, Lord?' And the Lord said to me, `Rise, and go into Damascus, and there you will be told all that is appointed for you to do.'

"And when I could not see because of the brightness of that light, I was led by the hand by those who were with me, and came into Damascus.
"And one Anani'as, a devout man according to the law, well spoken of by all the Jews who lived there, came to me, and standing by me said to me, `Brother Saul, receive your sight.' And in that very hour I received my sight and saw him. And he said, `The God of our fathers appointed you to know his will, to see the Just One and to hear a voice from his mouth; for you will be a witness for him to all men of what you have seen and heard. And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on his name.'

St. Paul had a dramatic meeting with Jesus in the desert. He was knocked down, and blinded by God's bright light. He was infused with understanding of who Jesus is, and what God was doing. I wonder if the light felt something like what Regina described, a living, flowing energy that enveloped her in the love of God. It would seem so, because immediately Paul believed and loved the Lord and would do anything He asked.

Such testimonies do bring us closer to God. We see God's tender mercy for His children. And then we can open our hearts to the possibility that He loves each of us in the same way. It is mercy that flows through conversion stories, the mercy of an ever-loving God who won't give up until we are safe with Him in Heaven.

Mary TV: January 30, 2018 Reflection - The Holy Spirit will descend upon you!

(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2016

J.M.J.
January 30, 2018

Dear family of Mary!
"Dear children! May this time be for you a time of prayer, so that the Holy Spirit, through prayer, may descend upon you and give you conversion. Open your hearts and read the Sacred Scripture, that through the testimonies you also may be closer to God. Above everything, little children, seek God and the things of God and leave earthly ones to the earth, because Satan is attracting you to the dust and sin. You are called to holiness and created for Heaven; therefore, seek Heaven and the things of Heaven. Thank you for having responded to my call."

"May this time be for you a time of prayer, so that the Holy Spirit, through prayer, may descend upon you and give you conversion."

In prayer, the Holy Spirit can descend upon us and give us conversion! Have you ever thought that that is what can go on when you pray? I forget the power of the Holy Spirit. Shame on me! The Holy Spirit is the converter! He does miracles in us, drawing us into the love of God.

Here is an account of just such a miracle of conversion that took place in Medjugorje, for Regina Collins. She did not want to be in Medjugorje. She was not open. She was angry and broken. But she went to one Mass in St. James Church, and that was all it took. The Holy Spirit descended. Here are her words describing that moment:

We were brought to our group Mass, and I was thinking, "Oh, one Mass today and one Mass tomorrow, and then I'm home and dry. But this is what God was preparing me for. Our little group was brought into St. James Church, the large church here, and we had our group Mass there. During the course of Mass people were coming in and out, approaching the statue of Our Lady.

So when it came to the time of consecration, our priest asked us in Irish to get up from our seats and to walk up onto the steps of the altar. I had to go because I couldn't remain there on my own in the seat. And as I walked towards the altar and went to place my foot on the floor of that altar, I suddenly had the feeling that I was standing on holy ground. It made me gasp. I could breathe it in and out. Then we were told to join hands for the Our Father, which I did. And the tears started to come again. But this time I wasn't afraid. And this time I didn't try to fight them.

When we finished saying the Our Father, I looked to my left and to my right and for the first time in my life I felt love in my heart for the people around me. We greeted each other and made peace with each other and embraced each other, and by then the tears were really flowing.

And I don't really remember what happened after that. All I remember is receiving Holy Communion, and this is the truly difficult part to explain. When I received Holy Communion everything disappeared. The church disappeared, the ground beneath my feet disappeared. I was no longer aware of being in a physical building or in a physical place. All I could see was white light. The whitest, brightest, most beautiful light you could possibly imagine. It was under my feet. It was completely surrounding me. It was above me. The only way I can explain it is if you dive into a pool, you are completely in the water. It was this never ending dazzling light.

And at the same time I felt a powerful energy flowing down into my body on my right side and a powerful energy flowing up through my body and out on my left side. And at the same time I felt so tiny, so insignificant. Somehow I knew that all the pride in my heart was being taken out and I was being filled with love. This love that God has is completely and totally indescribable. There are no words in any language that can describe the love of God the Father. There can be no painting, there can be no music, no song. It is completely indescribable. It is overwhelming. It is a joy that cannot be described.

And I felt so tiny and so insignificant, it was like being cradled in the arms of a father. The only way I can explain it is if you remember when you were a little child and got lost in a shop, and you are very brave, but when your father or mother found you and scooped you up, then the tears would come and you would feel the love of the parent.

I don't know how long this went on for, except that I felt a tap on my shoulder, and I found myself looking up, and it was my sister. And she said, "Regina, what are you doing on the floor?" And then I looked and I realized that somehow I had dropped to the floor and had my forehead pressed to the floor on the altar of the church. She had to help me up, and no one was left in the Church everybody had left.

And that is when the tears really began to flow, and she left me there for quite some time, and it was waves and waves and waves of tears, but it was joyful. It wasn't upset tears. I just can't describe it. (Fruit of Medjugorje, Episode 182, Regina Collins. http://marytv.tv/?page_id=167  )

I highly recommend this conversion story of Regina Collins. It is #182 in the Fruit of Medjugorje Playlist. God comes to us in prayer. He will do whatever is necessary to convert us, in prayer. All we need to do is let Him!

Mary TV: January 29, 2018 Reflection - A Time of Prayer

(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2018

January 29, 2018

Dear Family of Mary!
"Dear children! May this time be for you a time of prayer, so that the Holy Spirit, through prayer, may descend upon you and give you conversion. Open your hearts and read the Sacred Scripture, that through the testimonies you also may be closer to God. Above everything, little children, seek God and the things of God and leave earthly ones to the earth, because Satan is attracting you to the dust and sin. You are called to holiness and created for Heaven; therefore, seek Heaven and the things of Heaven. Thank you for having responded to my call." (January 25, 2018)

A time of prayer. "May this be for you a time of prayer." Our Lady calls us to see these days we are in as a time of prayer, an opportunity to consciously decide for prayer and to live prayer. She has called us to prayer so many times over the past 37 years. But somehow I feel that we must see this time as a special time of prayer. There is an anointing for prayer, a move on God's part to bless us in prayer. We are called to this time of prayer.

I also feel that this time of prayer will be a huge and wonderful gift for each of us. I believe God wants to heal us and give us His love in a powerful way, through the Holy Spirit. We will receive an anointing, which is what the Holy Spirit does. An anointing for conversion. An anointing for change. An anointing for wholeness and life.

I found several messages in which Our Lady speaks about prayer, and I find them compelling. Maybe we can receive a deeper understanding of prayer from them, and prepare ourselves for this time of prayer. I am really excited about it!!!
July 25, 2011 "Dear children! May this time be for you a time of prayer and silence. Rest your body and spirit, may they be in God's love. Permit me, little children, to lead you, open your hearts to the Holy Spirit so that all the good that is in you may blossom and bear fruit one hundred fold. Begin and end the day with prayer with the heart. Thank you for having responded to my call."

July 25, 2009 "Dear children! May this time be a time of prayer for you. Thank you for having responded to my call."

September 25, 2013 "Dear children! Also today I call you to prayer. May your relationship with prayer be a daily one. Prayer works miracles in you and through you, therefore, little children, may prayer be a joy for you. Then your relationship with life will be deeper and more open and you will comprehend that life is a gift for each of you. Thank you for having responded to my call." August 25, 2015 "Dear children! Also today I am calling you to be prayer. May prayer be for you the wings for an encounter with God. The world is in a moment of trial, because it forgot and abandoned God. Therefore, you, little children, be those who seek and love God above all. I am with you and I am leading you to my Son, but you must say your 'yes' in the freedom of children of God. I intercede for you and I love you, little children, with an endless love. Thank you for having responded to my call." September 25, 2016 "Dear children! Today, I am calling you to prayer. May prayer be life to you. Only in this way will your heart be filled with peace and joy. God will be near you and you will feel Him in your heart as a friend. You will speak with Him as with someone whom you know and, little children, you will have a need to witness, because Jesus will be in your heart and you, united in Him. I am with you and love all of you with my motherly love. Thank you for having responded to my call." June 25, 2012 "Dear children! With great hope in the heart, also today I call you to prayer. If you pray, little children, you are with me and you are seeking the will of my Son and are living it. Be open and live prayer and, at every moment, may it be for you the savor and joy of your soul. I am with you and I intercede for all of you before my Son Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call."

May we all decide for prayer in this special time of prayer! Mother, help us to pray!

The Conversion of St. Paul, Apostle

Dear Family of Mary!

Today we receive a new monthly message from Our Lady. In preparation, let's again ponder Our Lady's message for December 25, 2017:

"Dear children! Today I am bringing to you my Son Jesus for Him to give you His peace and blessing. I am calling all of you, little children, to live and witness the graces and the gifts which you have received.  Do not be afraid! Pray for the Holy Spirit to give you the strength to be joyful witnesses and people of peace and hope.  Thank you for having responded to my call."(December 25, 2017)

May we all be joyful witnesses and people of peace and hope! This is the gift God wants to give the world, our joy, our peace and our hope. We can be signposts of the victory of Jesus and Mary!

Mary TV: January 24, 2018 Reflection - Run to Mary!

(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2018

January 24, 2018
St. Francis de Sales

Dear Family of Mary!

"Let us run to Mary and as her little children cast ourselves into her arms with a perfect confidence." St. Francis de Sales

In these most difficult days, St. Francis de Sales' words give hope. We have a refuge. We have a safe haven. There is someone to whom we can turn for help. It is Our Lady. Especially Our Lady of Medjugorje.

Why do I say this? Why is Our Lady of Medjugorje our haven? I would say because she is truly in Medjugorje, truly present there, waiting for each of us to come there and find her. She wants to open her motherly arms and scoop us up, like little children.

August 2, 2005 "Dear children, I came to you with open arms, so that I could take you all into my arms, under my mantle. I cannot do this while your hearts are filled with false light and false idols. Clean them and let my angels sing in them. Then, I will take you under my mantle and give you my Son, true peace, and happiness. Do not wait my children. Thank you!"

Our Lady waits with open arms! She wants to take us all into her arms, under her mantle. What is holding us back? False light and false idols. If we are desiring things that are not God, that promise us much, but can give us nothing, then we will not run to Mary. We will cling to these false things. Mary waits for us, she cannot force.

October 02, 2016 "Dear children, the Holy Spirit, according to the Heavenly Father, made me the mother - the mother of Jesus - and by this alone, also your mother. That is why I am coming to hear you, that I may open my motherly arms to you; to give you my heart and to call you to remain with me, because from the top of the cross my Son entrusted you to me..."

The Father made Mary our Mother through Jesus. She is our Mother. We can run to her, and throw ourselves into her arms! We are free. But we can't run when we are laden with false idols and false lights. We must convert. Let go, and run!!

Thursday, February 23, 1984"I hold all of you in my arms. You are mine. I need your prayers so that you may be mine. I desire to be all yours and for you to be all mine. I receive all your prayers. I receive them with joy."

Our Lady is holding us close, we are hers!! But we must pray. In prayer we will be open to her voice, to her guidance, to her compassion and help. Then we will experience her embrace. Her protection and care will be tangible.

So, run to Mary! Convert and let go of all that holds you back.

Cast yourselves into her arms! Surrender and abandon yourself to her maternal care. Trust her, she can take care of everything.

Have perfect confidence in Mother Mary. Jesus did!

Mary TV: January 23, 2018 Reflection - May your life be a joyful living of God's will!

(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2018

Saint Vincent, Saint Marianne Cope

Dear Family of Mary!

"The Mother of Jesus and his brothers arrived at the house. Standing outside, they sent word to Jesus and called him. A crowd seated around him told him, 'Your mother and your brothers and your sisters are outside asking for you.' But he said to them in reply, 'Who are my mother and my brothers?' And looking around at those seated in the circle he said, 'Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.'" (Mark 3:31-35)

This Gospel is often misunderstood as a rebuke to Our Lady. But we who love her, know that Jesus was making a point that included her. To do the will of God is to become like Mary who always did the will of God in her life. And Jesus was helping us to understand that it is not blood that makes a person close to Him, but the heart! The heart that loves God completely, by doing His will, is a heart that beats with Jesus' heart, in a unity of love and fidelity to the Father.

God's will is a beautiful gift. He actually has a plan for each one of us. A plan that will bring us into eternal life with Him, a plan that will give us joy and peace, hope and love. God's plan for each one of us is tailor-made for us. It will not only bless us, but it will bless others. God's plan for us will help others to find His plan for them, and carry the blessing forward.

Our Lady has spoken about God's plan for each of us in her messages. She wants us to seek God's plan, pray to understand it, welcome it and live it! Her words make it clear how very much she loves God's will. She understands what a huge gift it is that God would have a plan for each one of us! We each are important to the Father
March 25, 2003 "Dear children! Also today I call you to pray for peace. Pray with the heart, little children, and do not lose hope because God loves His creatures. He desires to save you, one by one, through my coming here. I call you to the way of holiness. Pray, and in prayer you are open to God's will; in this way, in everything you do, you realize God's plan in you and through you. Thank you for having responded to my call."

God does desire to save us "one by one!" His individual plan for each of us is that salvation He offers us. If we pray we will be open to that plan, and then every part of our life will become part of that plan!

March 25, 2011 "Dear children! In a special way today I desire to call you to conversion. As of today, may new life begin in your heart. Children, I desire to see your 'yes', and may your life be a joyful living of God's will at every moment of your life. In a special way today, I bless you with my motherly blessing of peace, love and unity in my heart and in the heart of my Son Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Wow! The joyful living of God's will...at every moment! This is an unbelievable gift she offers us. She is with us to help us live such a life.

July 25, 2014 "Dear children! You are not aware of the graces that you are living at this time in which the Most High is giving you signs for you to open and convert. Return to God and to prayer, and may prayer begin to reign in your hearts, families and communities, so that the Holy Spirit may lead and inspire you to every day be more open to God's will and to His plan for each of you. I am with you and with the saints and angels intercede for you. Thank you for having responded to my call."

We are being give signs to open and convert...to let the Holy Spirit lead us to the plan God has for each of us! Medjugorje is such a time of grace, in which we are given a chance to really convert, to find God, to know Him, and to begin to live the life he has for us. So many of the "Fruit of Medjugorje" testimonies tell exactly this story. ( View them here: (http://marytv.tv/?page_id=167 )Through Our Lady's presence and love pilgrims share how they were given the grace to convert, and how they then found a new life in God's love and will.

May we open ourselves to the graces of this time, and convert, finding God's will for each of us. Joy and peace await if we do!!

Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection for Unborn Children

Dear Family of Mary!
August 8, 1985 "Dear children! Today I call you especially now to advance against satan by means of prayer. Satan wants to work still more now that you know he is at work. Dear children, put on the armor for battle and with the Rosary in your hand defeat him! Thank you for having responded to my call."

Ephesians 6: 11-20
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the equipment of the gospel of peace; besides all these, taking the shield of faith, with which you can quench all the flaming darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that utterance may be given me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.
January 25, 1990"Dear children! Today I invite you to decide for God once again and to choose Him before everything and above everything, so that He may work miracles in your life and that day by day your life may become joy with Him. Therefore, little children, pray and do not permit satan to work in your life through misunderstandings, the non-understanding and non-acceptance of one another. Pray that you may be able to comprehend the greatness and the beauty of the gift of life. Thank you for having responded to my call."
Pray for the end of abortion in the entire world. Jesus, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Mary TV: January 19, 2018 Reflection - Carry them in your hearts!

(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2017

J.M.J.
January 19, 2018

Dear Family of Mary!
"...As a mother I implore you not to forget those whom my Son has called to lead you. Carry them in your heart and pray for them. Thank you." (January 2, 2018)

What a beautiful plea Our Lady made at the end of the January 2, 2018 message! "As a mother..." We all know how deeply from the heart a mother can speak to her children. She communicates with the strongest empathy and communion to her children. They are so much a part of her that they cannot ignore her pleas.

"I implore you not to forget those whom my Son has called to lead you." Our Lady must hold our priests very close to her heart to make such a plea. Do not forget them! Do not let them out of your mind or your memory.

"Carry them in your heart and pray for them." Indeed, carry them in your heart. To do this is to love them like your own flesh and blood. She wants us to remember them in our prayers and intercede for them often and deeply.

One of our shipmates had an experience in Medjugorje last fall that illustrates this call of Our Lady perfectly. She wrote:

Hi Cathy! Thank you for your reflection yesterday on us all being the children of the Father, it really struck a deep chord within me.

You may remember me, it was I who stopped you in a restaurant and asked you how you managed to look so young! [Ha ha!!]  I was then on my fourth solo trip to Medjugorje, (I always go on my own as I can never get anyone to come with me!).   For the life of me, I just couldn't understand why I was there again; I thought I had already received all my answers and so many blessings, but here I was again, on my own.  Your article stirred up and reminded me of the reason why I was there!  One day, I was given such an overwhelming, powerful knowledge of who God the Father is; it was as if He was showing me that He too was here, with Jesus and Our Blessed Mother.... I had to come to know Him also.

Still having the feeling of not understanding why I was there, on the last day whilst I was at Mass and when I received the Blessed Sacrament, I decided to pray for our priests. Suddenly I was filled with so much grace that the tears flowed profusely and when I left the church, I was sobbing so much and so loud I had to take myself off towards the car park where I knew no one would hear me!   I had been praying for all priests in Medjugorje and for the ones whom I know, and one in particular who was very important to my family who had died a few years ago.  I had this overwhelming feeling that no one was praying for his soul, and my tears were for the tragedy of no one praying for those of our priests who have passed away.   I guess this is what Our Lady's school is teaching us all, bit by bit.

Can I please ask you and Denis to remember me in your prayers, particularly about the times when I feel no one wants to know about Our Lady appearing in Medjugorje and the beautiful graces she and her Son and Father are bestowing on us all.

May God Bless you both and thank you for all that you do in Jesus' name. Connie

Thank you Connie! Amazing graces! You met the Heavenly Father in Medjugorje and received the grace of praying for our priests from the heart! Yes, we will pray for you. Thank you for sharing what you experienced in Medjugorje! We are right there with you, loving Our Lady of Medjugorje!

I am amazed at the power of the Holy Spirit, giving Connie the gift of prayer and tears! What a sign of God's anointing and desire for her to pray for priests. Our Lady has asked us all to pray in just such a way. May we be given the grace of the Holy Spirit to help us pray as we aught!

Thank you to all of you for responding to Our Lady's call. She needs each one of us to be docile to the Holy Spirit, so we can support her in her mission of these days.

Mary TV: January 18, 2018 Reflection - Be children!

Dear Family of Mary!
"...My children, be joyful in your soul, be pure, be children..." (January 2, 2018)

Be children! This mysterious request of Our Lady has echoed in my heart ever since I first read the January 2, 2018 message. It seems that being joyful in our souls, and being pure are necessary conditions to being children. All three requests are intriguing.

We all would love to be joyful in our souls! How can that be achieved? My soul seems to be most joyful just after I have received absolution in Confession. The grace of forgiveness floods my soul with a sense of wellbeing which can only be described as having a joyful soul! A joyful soul is a soul that is reconciled with God, and completely in His hands. And it is most completely in God's hands right after Confession, at least for me!

How we would also love to be pure! Again, purity is most intensely felt after Confession, and then when we win the fight against temptation, an ongoing battle indeed. To be pure we must choose God alone, over and over again! And live in His presence continually, so that sin will have no allure.

But to be children! I found this message from 2013 that seems to center around this idea of being a child of God. Read it and see what you think:

December 02, 2013 "Dear children, with a motherly love and a motherly patience I am looking at your ceaseless wandering and how lost you are. That is why I am with you. I desire to help you to first find and come to know yourself, so that, then, you would be able to recognize and to admit everything that does not permit you to get to know the love of the Heavenly Father, honestly and wholeheartedly. My children, the Father comes to be known through the cross. Therefore, do not reject the cross. Strive to comprehend and accept it with my help. When you will be able to accept the cross you will also understand the love of the Heavenly Father; you will walk with my Son and with me; you will differ from those who have not come to know the love of the Heavenly Father, those who listen to Him but do not understand Him, those who do not walk with Him - who have not come to know Him. I desire for you to come to know the truth of my Son and to be my apostles; that, as children of God, you may rise above the human way of thinking and always, and in everything, seek God's way of thinking, anew. My children, pray and fast that you may be able to recognize all of this which I am seeking of you. Pray for your shepherds and long to come to know the love of your Heavenly Father, in union with them. Thank you."

Our Lady asks these things of us:

Come to know yourself and the things that keep you from knowing the love of the Heavenly Father honestly and wholeheartedly.

Accept the crosses in your life, with Our Lady's help, so you can begin to understand the love of the Heavenly Father.

Walk with Jesus and Mary, as children of the Heavenly Father in one family of love.

Get to know the truth of Jesus, so that as children of God you can adopt God's way of thinking.

Pray and fast to understand what Our Lady is saying to you!

To be children, it seems, we need a Father! And not just any father, but the Heavenly Father, the Father of Jesus, the Father who created us and loves us without end. And to know this Father we must have a deep knowledge of ourselves, our sins, our weaknesses and our needs. We must also know and accept our crosses which somehow are the keys to understanding the Father's love. We need to walk with Jesus, through our lives, so that He can show us the Father! And we must learn from Jesus to think like the Father. Then and only then will we be joyful, pure children!! Then and only then our souls will be filled with joy!

I think it might be good to reread the message a few times and slowly meditate on the things Our Lady tells us. They are words of life, and will help us if we do! It is not a matter of words, but of prayer. God alone can teach us much of what Our Lady says in this message, personally, individually, and gently!

Mary TV: January 17, 2018 Reflection - The present moment is ours!

(c)Mateo Ivankovic 2018

January 17, 2018
St. Anthony

Dear Family of Mary!

Today we will begin with a word from St. Faustina. She was the Apostle of Mercy, given the task of spreading devotion to Jesus as the Merciful Savior.
Oh, if only the suffering soul knew how it is loved by God, it would die of joy and an excess of happiness! Someday we will know the value of suffering, but then we will no longer be able to suffer. The present moment is ours. (963 - Diary)
The present moment is ours! This is so very true. No matter what God is asking of us, the present moment is ours, the past is over, and the future is not in our hands. The present moment is ours, to give to the Lord with love and trust, knowing that He will use the gift in amazing ways!

Here are several messages in which Our Lady talks about suffering, encouraging us to give our sufferings to God, for Him to use as He sees fit. We might meditate on them in our rosaries today, letting the wisdom of Our Lady form us:
September 11, 1986 "Dear children! For these days while you are joyfully celebrating the Cross, I desire that your cross also would be a joy for you. Especially, dear children, pray that you may be able to accept sickness and suffering with love the way Jesus accepted them. Only that way shall I be able with joy to give out to you the graces and healings which Jesus is permitting me. Thank you for having responded to my call."
Tuesday, November 29, 1983 To Jelena:   "I am your mother full of goodness, and Jesus is your great friend. Do not fear anything in His presence. Give Him your heart, from the bottom of your heart. Tell Him your sufferings, thus you will be invigorated in prayer, with a free heart, in a peace without fear."
March 25, 2006 "Courage, little children! I decided to lead you on the way of holiness. Renounce sin and set out on the way of salvation, the way which my Son has chosen. Through each of your tribulations and sufferings God will find the way of joy for you. Therefore, little children, pray. We are close to you with our love. Thank you for having responded to my call."
March 25, 2013 "Dear children! In this time of grace, I call you to take the cross of my beloved Son Jesus in your hands and to meditate on His passion and death. May your suffering be united in His suffering and love will win, because He who is love gave Himself out of love to save each of you. Pray, pray, pray until love and peace begin to reign in your hearts. Thank you for having responded to my call."
May 02, 2015 "Dear children, open your hearts and try to feel how much I love you and how much I desire for you to love my Son. I desire for you to come to know Him all the better, because it is impossible to know Him and not to love Him - because He is love. I, my children, know you. I know your pain and suffering because I lived through them. I laugh with you in your joy and I cry with you in your pain. I will never leave you. I will always speak to you with motherly tenderness. And I, as a mother, need your open hearts to spread the love of my Son with wisdom and simplicity. I need you to be open and sensitive to the good and mercy. I need you to be united with my Son, because I desire for you to be happy and to help me to bring happiness to all of my children. My apostles, I need you to show everyone the truth of God, so that my heart, which suffered and today suffers so much pain, can win in love. Pray for the holiness of your shepherds, so that in the name of my Son they can work miracles, because holiness works miracles. Thank you."
September 02, 2017 "Dear children, who could speak to you about the love and the pain of my Son better than I? I lived with Him; I suffered with Him. Living the earthly life, I felt pain because I was a mother. My Son loved the thoughts and the works of the Heavenly Father, the true God. And, as He said to me, He came to redeem you. I hid my pain through love, but you, my children, you have numerous questions. You do not comprehend pain. You do not comprehend that through the love of God you need to accept pain and endure it. Every human being will experience it to a lesser or greater measure. But with peace in the soul and in a state of grace, hope exists; this is my Son, God, born of God. His words are the seed of eternal life. Sown in good souls they bring numerous fruits. My Son bore the pain because He took your sins upon Himself. Therefore, you, my children, apostles of my love, you who suffer, know that your pain will become light and glory. My children, while you are enduring pain, while you are suffering, Heaven enters in you and you give a piece of Heaven and much hope to all those around you. Thank you."

The present moment is ours! May we entrust our sufferings to the Lord so that He may use them to save souls. May we endure our suffering, knowing that heaven will enter into us as we trust Jesus and pray. May we allow Him to work through us for all those around us in great need of His salvation.

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
