NIGHT REFLECTION

'The Way of the Cross,' is Message #71 to fr. Gobbi.

On a Good Friday, Our Lady is reminding the priests who belong to Her Marian Movement of Priests and who are consecrated to Her Immaculate Heart that She wishes to lead them along the path of the Cross. She says She wants them all on the Cross with Jesus Her Son, praying and suffering! Why? Because this is the road Our Savior took to carry out the work of redemption and salvation of mankind.

Our Lady also traveled that 'way of the Cross' along with Jesus, and so She expects Her little children to do the same. As a matter of fact, She says that it is the only way to journey; but do not fear because Our Lady will hold our hands; She will comfort and help us, She will be at our side! How else can we become similar to Jesus in all ways? Mary's duty is to form us in imitation of Our Lord!

And so we must climb Calvary too! We must call out from the garden of our hearts, united with Our Blessed Lady's Heart: "Yes, Father, Your Will be done!" (cf Matt. 26:39) Then we can glorify the Father in this hour of darkness; then we can bear witness to the merciful love of God. How? By our prayer, our sufferings, and our immolation of ourselves!

Our Lady says 'Forget every other occupation and second this plan of Her Immaculate Heart!' Each day I say this little prayer: "Eternal Father, I love You and I offer myself to You for Your greater glory and the reign of Your Kingdom on earth; the Kingdom of the Divine Will! May my will be totally annihilated, and given over to the Blessed Virgin Mary, whose will was always one with Yours! Amen."

Marian Devotion on the Rise, Says Scholar

MEXICO CITY, AUG. 31, 2007 "http://www.zenit.org" A group of Catholics in Mexico City are inviting all religious and lay movements to join them Oct. 7 for Worldwide Rosary Day.

Devotion to the rosary, both publicly and privately, is on the rise, claims Mark Miravalle, professor of Mariology at the Franciscan University of Steubenville. Read what Professor Miravalle has to say here: ZENIT

SANCTITY

2. The Will of God in Mary.
God's Will in regard to Mary was that She should be the sum total, the model and spring of all sanctity. At the very first instant of Her conception Mary was inundated by sanctifying grace and became conscious of Her actions, enjoying a full knowledge and a full mastery of Herself whereby she threw Herself with all Her might towards the Heart of God.

Watch this marvelous sight which had never happened before nor will ever happen again. God floods the soul of Mary with the torrent of His love and of His life, and Mary, making use of all the graces She received, without neglecting a single one, directs Her life of grace and gratitude towards God.

In Mary the reaction was equal to the action. Much had She received; all of which She gave back. The first action of God upon the soul of Mary, an action that was powerful, bounteous and loving, was to fill Her soul to its full capacity with sanctifying grace. But to that divine action, infinitely loving and bounteous, Mary offered so to speak, Her reaction, by giving Herself infinitely lovingly up to God without limitation and with all the strength of Her being.

This sanctifying grace of God kept on increasing and developed prodigiously in the immaculate soul of Mary. Her correspondence to grace kept on inviting His love and grace. How far did that sanctity grow? God only has the answer, since God alone knows how far His actions went and how far Her reaction reached.

Bear in mind that there is a real sanctity and there is a moral sanctity. The real sanctity is the sanctity of those things dedicated or consecrated to God. Such is the sanctity of a temple where God especially dwells. Such is the sanctity of the sacred vessels and of the objects dedicated to divine worship. We may take as an example of real sanctity in man the sanctity of the newly baptized child in whose soul the life of grace abides. We have an example of moral sanctity in the acts of virtue through which the soul freely and voluntarily corresponds to the grace of God and gives itself entirely to His divine love.

Mary is most holy both with a real and with a moral sanctity. Through real sanctity Her soul is in a close union with the Holy Trinity. St. Thomas says that this union is the closest and strongest that can exist between a creature and the Creator, and therefore the real sanctity of Mary is the greatest possible. To this boundless real sanctity of Mary equally great moral sanctity corresponds. She profited by all the graces sent by God without ever wasting a single one so that it may be said of Mary much more rightly than of St. Paul: The grace of God was not in vain or useless in Her. In one word, through this moral sanctity of Our Heavenly Mother, Her correspondence to the divine favors was exactly just what it ought to be, just what God wanted and expected, namely, most perfect in every way. Here you have a measuring rod to gauge the sanctity of Our Lady. You may well understand why it is said that sanctity consists in love, since love is the melting of two hearts into one, is the transformation of one into the other. In real sanctity, God loves His creatures and out of this love gives it through grace a share in His own divine life. Then the soul by giving itself up to God and by loving Him, transforms itself into Him and corresponds to His grace and love.

In sanctity, therefore, there must be this love of two hearts. There must be these two elements: the heart of God and the heart of man. Sanctity is, consequently, the sanctity of God plus the sanctity of man. Apply all this to Mary. Deduce how much God loves Her and how much She loves God. All Her life was one single flame of love. Love prompted, propelled all Her actions. The intensity of Her love was the perfection of Her sanctity.

A REFLECTION

'Without Thinking of Tomorrow' is message #70 to Fr, Gobbi.

Our Lady is explaining to Fr. Gobbi a little about the future events that will come upon us. Distressing events, yes, but he and we should not keep thinking about them. Live each moment in Her. She will guide us in carrying out that which Her Immaculate Heart desires.

It's not easy for us to live "without thinking of tomorrow" or being preoccupied about the future. Our human nature rebels at the idea! Even Our Lord questioned the Apostles: "Why are you fearful? Have you not faith yet?" (Mark 4:40) We must not be fearful of the future. Our Lady says, Do not ask "What shall we do? Is the great purification near? What will happen to us?"

Have faith in Mother Mary! Live, in perfect love and abandonment the present moment, which She has arranged for us. Let us place ourselves in Her arms as little babes. Yes, that's exactly what Our Lady calls us "Little babes."

As for the present times, again, Mary says to look to Her alone, do not consider these times of darkness and what many today are doing against Jesus and Mary and us also! We must drink the chalice which Jesus has prepared for each one of us! If we take refuge in Our Lady's Immaculate Heart, we will be strengthened and not caught up in fear and anxiety. Her Heart is our safe refuge! Be at peace. We are in this all together!

Meditation 93

SANCTITY

1. The Holy Will of God.
We are reaching the end of our Marian Meditations whose chief aim should be to spur us on to labor for our sanctification. This is the will of God, says St. Paul, that you should become saints. This was God's Holy Will about Our Blessed Lady as it is also in regard to ourselves. Let, then, this meditation on sanctity be the crowning of all the other meditations.

The virtues of Our Holy Mother form Her glorious crown. She is our perfect model, our peerless teacher. Let us see Her also as our model in sanctity. The sanctity of Mary is a pleasant yet difficult subject to delve into.

In order to deal with it all exhaustively we should have a perfect knowledge of it. But this is possible only to God. Yet we must meditate on the sanctity of the most holy soul of Mary so that we may follow Her at close range. This is, indeed, the Holy Will of God "that we must become saints." Consequently, sanctity is a duty which we must fulfill. It is not just simple advice.

All of us wish to save ourselves. But do we equally want to be saints? And yet both things are inseparable. Only the one who insures the life of grace in his soul will save himself. But this is precisely sanctity. Grace is sanctity. Naturally there are many different degrees in it but without grace there is no entering Heaven and without sanctity nobody can be saved.

We must, then, strive after sanctity in order to save ourselves. To aim at salvation and to consider sanctity as an exclusive privilege of some chosen few would be a fatal mistake. All are invited to the higher degree of perfection. To this climbing there is no limit.

Sanctity, which presupposes the grace of God, is God's greatest achievement, the most divine of His works. But it is also the masterpiece of man: he could do nothing greater. The most important thing man can do is to work at this enterprise.

Could we see a soul in the state of grace, in the state of sanctity, we would see God Himself in it, since its beauty is the beauty of God. The greater the sanctity in a soul, the more intimate is also its union with God, its share of the divine perfections.

Our Lady appeared to
11-year-old Mariette Becco

NIGHT REFLECTION

Message #69 is titled, 'The Joy of Making You Grow.'

Fr. Gobbi is visiting Banneux, Belgium, where Our Lady had appeared on a Sunday night, January 15, 1933 as the "Virgin of the Poor", an approved apparition! She's wondering why he is so troubled and has no peace of mind. She's really talking to him as a mother to a child and helping him to "grow" in his detachment from the world!

Little by little Our Lady arranges things for us, even some trials and tribulations! After we have made our consecration to Her Immaculate Heart, our human nature starts to look for those people who think like we do. We want friends and companions on our spiritual journey. We start depending on them for advice, especially if we see that they are close to Mother Mary.

But this is where She steps in. Our Lady wants us detached even from this! All She wants is from your friends is prayer! We pray, suffer and love them, and they pray, suffer and love us! That's sufficient, She says! Anything else is not from Her; all else is vain and superfluous; a waste of time!

But we all have ties, ties to self, to other persons, to our activities, ideas, feelings. We have defects too, and we fall sometimes. But Mary says that this is a great gift for us because it helps us realize how little we are and how much we need Our Blessed Mother! I once asked my confessor why I did the same sins again and again? His answer was to make me more humble and ask for forgiveness!

I read once that there are different levels of Purgatory, and the top level, those closest to God, cannot be released from there until they are fully detached from the world. Maybe Our Lady is preparing us for Heaven, and by being detached here and now, we can avoid that purgation!
Think about it!

MOTHER OMNIPOTENT

3. Let us thank God for it.
Having reached this point, let us raise our heart to God in thanksgiving. The priest at Holy Mass daily renders thanks to god in a loud voice and invites the congregation to do likewise for the innumerable benefits that His divine hand constantly showers upon us. What else can we do in face of the numberless benefits He and His Beloved Mother have bestowed on us? We ought to give continuous thanksgiving. Let us start right now.

And this thanksgiving of our should not consist merely of words. God expects the most beautiful hymn of gratitude, a practical correspondence in behavior.

Your gratitude should lead to the strengthening of your trust in Our Heavenly Mother, a trust that admits no fatigue, discouragement or cowardly disappointment.

Be strong on this point because the devil will be ever to tempt. How many souls he has deceived even to despair! So now to Our Lady's feet. She is your Mother given you by God and so, no matter how ungrateful you have been in the past, you can always have recourse to Her. With filial right you can demand from Her a motherly love, a motherly compassion and at the same time a Queenly omnipotence. She is both Empress and Mother.

Justice and bounty surround the throne of God. Goodness and mercy the throne of Mary. If rightly you feel impressed by the justice of God you cannot be frightened before the throne of Our Lady.

She is ever expecting your return. And far from being offended by confidence, lack of confidence on the contrary offends both Jesus and Mary. Have you not heard from the lips of Our Lord that there is a greater happiness in Heaven, for a sinner who repents than for the hundred just who persevere? And in Heaven, the first to rejoice is Our Blessed Lady. She will make a feast at the return of Her prodigal son who had gone away but was eventually found; who was dead but is now alive.

Let, then, your motto be: never lose heart; never grow downhearted, never be discouraged. Even if you see you are making no headway, achieving nothing, keep on trusting in Our Blessed Lady and go on working every day with more enthusiasm.

EARLY EVENING REFLECTION

Message 68 to Fr. Gobbi is titled: 'The Time Left to You.'

Our Lady is telling Fr. Gobbi that he should bring all the priests of Her Movement together and to follow all the directives that She has made known to him. She says "I must hasten!" and so Mary wants Her priests-sons
-- To pray together: Our Lady gathers them together like a Cenacle; She needs their prayers, She said. Pray with Her and through Her, especially with the holy Rosary! Pray well, She says, with humility and simplicity, abandonment and trust; don't be concerned about other problems or anything that would disturb them.

Why does Our Lady need the prayers of Her priest-sons (and ours too!)? Because the world in great numbers, are straying from God and on the road of depravity, inhuman and violent. Many souls are one step from their eternal damnation. With the prayers of Her priests (and ours), Our Lady can miraculously intervene and save them at the last moment!

Remember the parable that Jesus told about the farmer who hired workers at different times of the day; and they all received the same wage! Yes, my friends, we want people saved from hell, even at the last moment of their lives. This is our vocation as Christians, to try to save souls! Remember the Divine Mercy promise too, Jesus told St. Faustina that if a Divine Mercy Chaplet is prayed over a dying person, He will grant them final mercy. Their soul will be saved!

As for us, Our Lady wants us to love one another, seek out each other, (I've been doing that on the Internet and have found many Catholic friends) be united with each other, help each other to be faithful to our calling, whether priest, deacon, religious, or lay person; and especially be faithful to the Pope, to the Gospel and to the Church!

ANNOUNCING

Radio WAVE ©
Radio WAVE ©

And Its First Broadcast

“Remember
When
It
Rained”

WE ARE VERY EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE to you the beginning of a Medjugorje radio station through mej.com. Six years in the making, Radio WAVETM will connect Medjugorje devotees, through Medjugorje talk radio, productions, and other broadcasts. This exciting new concept to the Medjugorje movement will provide coverage of what is happening with Our Lady, Medjugorje, and connect you with others. Extensive phone capabilities will enable you to call in toll free across the continental United States, and toll free from most western European countries and the United Kingdom. Other countries will be added to the toll free capability in the next months. You can call to talk, ask questions, or to speak to special guests and hear live interviews from Medjugorje. The goal of Radio WAVETM is to help encourage and strengthen you by being more intimately connected to Our Lady's plans for the conversion of the entire world.

Many have relayed that it's hard to stay enthusiastic about Medjugorje. Others complain that they know few people who know about Medjugorje and are all alone.

We live in a world which is structured in such a way, which does not allow the voice of Our Lady through Medjugorje to compete. Many, therefore, are not able to connect with others of the same sentiments who want continued conversion. That can now change with Radio WAVETM.

From “Special Reports”, to applying Our Lady's messages to the issues of our day, Radio WAVETM will fill the void for those who are thirsting for the way of Our Lady, and how to transform their life into the peace Our Lady is showing us how to achieve.

After 5 months of construction, Caritas' new studio is finished and up and running. With God's grace, Medjugorje's message can be more accessible that ever before to the multitudes.

The following, regarding Radio WAVETM and “Remember When It Rained”, is a letter sent to those who participate actively in helping Caritas' project to spread Our Lady's messages.

Remember When it Rained?…

Where were you on August 5, 2005?
Were you in the Field at Caritas?
Do you remember that Special Rosary?
Do you remember the extreme heat?
Do you remember the clouds moving in?
Do you remember the incredible wind?
Do you remember the rain?
The Thunder and Lightning?
Do You Remember the Hail?
Do You Remember the Pure Joy
of being present with Our Lady
in the Field on Her Birthday?

Medjugorje

August 28, 2007

Dear Friends of Our Lady,

After two years of waiting, we are now ready to experience once again that incredible day when thousands gathered together in the Field to celebrate Our Lady’s 2021st birthday.

If you remember…the anticipation was building each day throughout the five-day celebration. Flowers and special petitions were presented at Our Lady’s feet in the Field each day at Rosary. Our Lady was praying over everyone, giving Her blessing to everyone present, listening to all the intentions of our hearts, and carrying them back to Heaven to present to Our Heavenly Father. Upon hearing the bells ring on the hour, everyone would drop to their knees, praying three Hail Mary’s for Our Lady’s intentions. Long lines waited for confession throughout the five days. Many were fasting for three days leading up to Her birthday. Offerings were made for candles, which were lit in memory of loved ones, or special intentions that would be used to light up Our Lady’s special house. It was a beautiful eve of Her birthday spent in the Field as we all gathered before the house that was built, representing the home Our Lady was born in. It was shining brightly with 2021 candles lighting up each room of the house, adding a beautiful glow to the night sky. We gathered with thousands to pray a special Rosary called the Marian Mysteries for Our Lady. People came up to leave their petitions and promises to live a sinless day on August 5th, as a special birthday gift for Our Lady. Not wanting the evening to end, many spent the night in the Field.

Then…August 5th, 2005, the day we had been preparing for in so many ways. The anticipation and joy was overwhelming as people gathered in the Field for Rosary & Apparition. Then came from Heaven the spectacular show given as a thank you for all the love, prayers and sacrifices that had been offered. Our Lady poured Her graces onto everyone gathered in the Field, and all those present in spirit, as well as all the loved ones carried in hearts presented to Our Lady.

Now… on September 8th , 2007, after two years in the making, with eyewitness testimonies that have been shared, Caritas will premiere this brand new production to the world. For the first time ever, “Radio WAVE™ (Worldwide AVE™)” will be aired live through mej.com, and broadcast “Remember When it Rained,” the story of August 5th, 2005. Two “Firsts” for the Medjugorje movement! The Inaugural beginning of Radio WAVE™ and the world premiere broadcast of “Remember When it Rained.”

We are asking you to invite as many people as possible to gather together to celebrate the Church’s designated day to honor Our Lady’s birthday, Saturday, September 8th. Schedule a nice meal or potluck dinner and birthday cake with your family & friends. If you have a priest that you know, celebrate a home Mass before the premiere audio broadcast, and follow with the Marian Mysteries of the Rosary to set the tone for the premiere. Find a peaceful place with an excellent sound system, dim the lights, hush the children and be in prayer, ready to experience that miraculous day again. You will need high-speed internet and Adobe Flash Player Version 9 to be able to participate in this event. You can check mej.com a few days before September 8th and click to have Adobe Flash Player Version 9 installed for free. On September 8th, go to mej.com in union with the Community of Caritas for its first presentation of this release, plus the first broadcast of many for Radio WAVE™. The audio production will begin on mej.com at 7:00 p.m. CST, Saturday, September 8th, and afterwards the phone lines will be opened, not only nationally, but internationally for a further two hours of Medjugorje Talk Radio for those of you who were present to call in live. The toll-free number to call in will be 1-888-672-WAVE (9283). This number will only be activated while on the air. If you wish to talk to someone before September 8th, you can call 205-672-2000.

This presentation will bring to life that very special day, even if you weren’t here personally. Anyone, and especially those who share a love for Our Lady, will be moved by hearing the docu-drama and testimony of this special event. We, in Community, have been and will be in prayer for this special event, and we ask that you add the words, “for Our Lady’s intentions for September 8th” to every prayer you are offering in these days preceding the preview.

In Summary…

1.) If you don’t have high speed internet in your home, make sure you have a location established which has high-speed internet. Adobe Flash Player Version 9 is also needed. You can go to mej.com a few days before September 8th and click to install Adobe Flash Player Version 9 for free.

2.) Be sure that the sound system you will be using is sufficient for sound quality. Do not rely on lap top computer speakers. Try to have something with better quality, along the lines of a home entertainment sound system. If you or no one you know has this capability, you could always rent a system from a store such as a Party type Rental Store, (if renting, try something similar to a BOSE system with a bass module, but this will have to be tied to a computer. A friend can help if you don’t know how to do it). Years of experience has shown us that the better quality the production, the more spiritual impact that comes from it. There’s nothing worse than straining to hear something important and missing out on something when someone moves, coughs, etc.

3.) Establish your schedule. Depending on your time zone, you may use some of the suggested schedules below. It is important to have prayer before listening to this audio premiere. Do not think of this as merely a get-together to hear a story. Depending on the prayer before it, this production has the ability to move and convert hearts. Prayer beforehand is very important. Remember that for a normal day Our Lady asks for 4 hours of prayer, saying that it is only a sixth of your day. Think of this evening as a Medjugorje retreat, and the grace that will come from it will be the fruit. The production is just under one hour long, and the Marian Mysteries of the Rosary takes about 45 minutes to pray.

If you are in the Eastern Time Zone: “Remember When it Rained,” and the launching of Radio WAVE™ will premiere on mej.com at 8:00 p.m. with a two hour Medjugorje talk show afterwards, so you may choose to have a Pot Luck dinner (1 hour), and then the Marian Mysteries (45-60 minutes) and Mass preceding the production, (45-60 minutes). Allowing an hour for each gives time to move from one scheduled event to another.

If you are in the Central Time Zone: “Remember When it Rained,” and the launching of Radio WAVE™ will premiere on mej.com at 7:00 p.m. with a two hour Medjugorje talk show afterwards, so you may choose to have a Pot Luck dinner (1 hour) and then the Marian Mysteries (45-60 minutes) and Mass preceding the production (45-60 minutes). Allowing an hour for each gives time to move from one scheduled event to another.

If you are in the Mountain Time Zone: “Remember When it Rained,” and the launching of Radio WAVE™ will premiere on mej.com at 6:00 p.m. with a two hour Medjugorje talk show afterwards, so you may choose to pray the Marian Mysteries of the Rosary (45-60 minutes) followed by a home Mass (45-60 minutes) preceding the audio production and Medjugorje talk show. After the talk show, you can end with a Pot Luck dinner at 9:00 p.m. Allowing an hour for each gives time to move from one scheduled event to another.

If you are in the Pacific Time Zone: “Remember When it Rained,” and the launching of Radio WAVE™ will premiere on mej.com at 5:00 p.m. with a two hour Medjugorje talk show afterwards, so you may choose to pray the Marian Mysteries of the Rosary (45-60 minutes) followed by a home Mass (45-60 minutes) preceding the audio production and Medjugorje talk show. After the talk show, you can end with a Pot Luck dinner at 8:00 p.m. Allowing an hour for each gives time to move from one scheduled event to another.

Call 205-672-2000 now or fax 205-672-9667 if you have any further questions. Once you begin to get this event organized in your area, we can send you flyers to promote it and/or prayer cards with the Marian Mysteries of the Rosary. Thank you again for all that you do for Our Lady…this is just one more powerful tool that we pray Our Lady blesses to bring about needed conversion. Do not feel that you have to have only Medjugorje people present for it or only people with a Marian devotion. The story was written to unfold to anyone, no matter where they are spiritually. You remain in our prayers.

In the Love of Our Lady,
A Friend of Medjugorje

The following excerpt is taken from the Medjugorje Headline entitled “Who is Behind mej.com?”

Mej.com started off as a project called Project Wave. Five individuals, with a support group of 25 individuals, for three months, moved into a large Florida beach home on the ocean at St. Joseph’s Bay to pray, think-tank, and evolve a Medjugorje website in a way that has not been conceived. The founder of Caritas, known as a Friend of Medjugorje, is spear-heading the project, with many plans for its future. Project WaveTM was its code name while work quietly went on behind the scenes for the last 5 years, conceptualizing what the site’s purpose and function would be, in addition to a great deal of preprogramming. Project Wave TM stands for ‘W’orldwide ‘AVE’ – hence the word W-AVE because its mission and purpose is to make available Our Lady’s messages and Her guidance towards a way of life, while at the same time covering the events of Medjugorje as it unfolds, especially making Medjugorje available to avenues not yet reached worldwide, as a wave sweeps the world.

Praying everyday at the oceanside and watching the ocean waves gave a wealth of thoughtful reflection of what Our Lady would want through Project Wave. Project Wave began construction Jan. – March, 2004, and went quietly online on June 25, 2006. The first month of official operations for the new website was September 2006.

Radio WAVE™ will broadcast from its brand new studio at Caritas with the possibility to reach anyone in the world! WAVE meaning “Worldwide-AVE” “Radio W-AVE™.”

Caritas’ first broadcast worldwide will be the evening of Saturday Sept. 8, 2007, the day the Church honors the Blessed Virgin Mary’s Birthday. The very first broadcast will premiere “Remember When it Rained” an audio docu-drama of the event of the first public celebration in the world of Our Lady’s Aug. 5th, 2021st birthday in 2005. The production was two years in the making. For details on this Sept. 8 inaugural and to learn what you can do that Saturday night call: 205-672-2000 ext. 380.

MOTHER OMNIPOTENT

2. The Universal Power.
This all-powerfulness is not limited to one place or one time, or to some privileged class of souls, to one particular order of graces and helps, or to one special kind of petition or prayer. Nothing of the kind. It is universal. It has no limits of any sort. We are all children of Mary. She will help us all. She will love us all without exception. All, and in all, both spiritually and temporally. No need is beyond Her power. No benefaction exhausts her hands. Nor can time weaken the efficacy of Her graces.

If Mary made saints of other souls, if others were raised to the life of grace, if others were helped in diverse manners, all this can happen to you. Your soul can also achieve pardon, grace, life, sanctity.

Since the first sin was committed, the devil became a universal, an all-world power, subjecting all souls, the whole world over, to temptation. He enkindles the passions in them in order to enchain souls. How frightful is this dominion of the devil and how universal. Who has not experienced it? Only Our Lady, by Her most pure Conception, escaped this captivity. In fact She binds him, subdues him, masters him. She pursues him everywhere and combats and conquers him always. The dominion of the devil is universal but so likewise is the all-powerfulness of Mary. Her triumph will be universal and eternal.

But Her victory is not Her's alone. It is also ours. No one has recourse to Her and has trust in Her in vain. All the saints, all hose who withstand the devil, do so because of Mary. Without Mary their efforts would have been futile.

That is why many holy doctors apply to Mary those words of the psalmist: Unless God build His house, in vain do toil those who build it. Unless God keep watch over the city, in vain do watchmen guard it. And who is the guard and the defense of the house of the Lord if not Our Lady? The Lord guards His city but He does so through Mary knowing then that it is well defended. One who takes shelter under Her protecting mantle will never fear.

You ought to know it well for you must have experienced it yourself. Is not your soul one more witness to those words of the Memorare, No one had ever recourse to Her and was left unaided. Satan knows it well. How many times has he been bound to confess with infernal rage that he could do nothing against the devotees of Our Lady?

The piety of all founders has acknowledged the universality of Her power and called Her "The Gate of Heaven," "the Ladder of Paradise," "the Refuge of sinners," "the Throne of the Eternal King," "the Hall of propitiation" where all of us are heard and helped.

You should keep on repeating deliberately and affectionately all those many expressions which refer to the consoling universality of Mary's power: Mary is "the hope of sinners," "the path to life," "the harbor of safety," "the salvation of mankind," "the spring-source of grace," "the star of the sea," "the Mediatrix between God and men," "the key of Heaven," "the hope of the fallen," "the strength of the just," "the joy of the Angels," "the Queen of the centuries."

Your heart could also find many similar expressions which you could weave into an ardent, loving litany to your Mother.

A REFLECTION

Message 67, 'Faithful to My Voice and That of the Pope.'

This is a long Message to Fr. Gobbi at the beginning of the New Year. He had come on pilgrimage to Our Lady's Shrine, praying the Rosary, singing hymns, and celebrating Mass in honor of the Immaculate and Sorrowful Heart of Mary! Our Lady said that She really appreciated what he did. That's a good lesson for us, to remember that God and Our Lady do appreciate it when we give them honor and glory by what we do down here on earth.

She also is very happy that all the priests of Her Movement are honoring Her Immaculate Heart on this First Saturday all over the world! What joy and comfort they give to Her motherly Heart by answering with a generous yes to what Our Lady asked for at Fatima, the First Saturday Devotion! Now She says She will begin Her work!

First of all Her MMP will spread everywhere. The Holy Spirit will call and draw together Her priest-sons into a cohort that will remain faithful to the Gospel and the Church. The Evil Spirit will spread darkness over the world and the Church. Many false ideas, propagated by the Spirit of Pride will be followed by almost everyone; every doctrine in the Church will be called into question, and even the Gospel will be proclaimed as a legend.

But it will be Our Lady's faithful sons who are faithful to the Gospel and the Church, docile and obedient, who will be Mary's voice proclaiming the truth! They will defend the Pope and the Church that is united to him. They will comfort him in his abandonment and disseminate his unheeded teachings.

Because of their fidelity to the Pope and the Gospel, these priest-sons of Our Lady will be persecuted, but they will be the only light left burning to point out the way of salvation to a vast number of souls. Mother Mary says that through Her intervention, this light will never go out! She will be at the side of every one of Her sons and with the help of their and our prayers, She will be able to begin the battle and win Her great victory!

NEWS ALERT FROM THE THOMAS MORE LAW CENTER

New York City’s Khalil Gibran International Academy An Incubator For Islamist Radicalization—Thomas More Law Center Enters Fray

Queen of Creation

Monday August 27, 2007 7:30 am CT, this morning in the Field. In the midst of harvest season, Our Lady speaks in many ways as fall approaches.

August 25, 1999

“Dear children! Also today I call you to give glory to God the Creator in the colors of nature. He speaks to you also through the smallest flower about His beauty and the depth of love with which He has created you. Little children, may prayer flow from your hearts like fresh water from a spring. May the wheat fields speak to you about the mercy of God towards every creature. That is why, renew prayer of thanksgiving for everything He gives you. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

All Creation and it's creatures give Glory to God. Creation is not to be worshiped, rather, to prove the reality of God and so to honor Him. This morning because of the fog and the eriely way the sun was shining through we decided to take a picture for mej.com. However when we went to the Field, a large hawk was perched as a crown for the Queen of Creation. Here you get a glimps of how Our Lady so often speaks to us here.

Meditation 92

MOTHER OMNIPOTENT

1. All-powerful.
This title must ofttimes have been on your lips. Your heart must ofttimes have uttered this invocation: Oh Heavenly Mother, Mother Omnipotent. A title which should ever strengthen your trust in Our Lady. Our Lady is the all-powerful Queen who wields on behalf of Her children all power.

Mary is practically omnipotent, not with a natural or essential omnipotence for such belongs only to God, but by communication. She is practically omnipotent not by nature but by grace Mary has been raised to the highest dignity. And since power is in proportion to dignity, Mary's dignity warrants the highest power.

Her power derives from Her dignity. She is the Mother of God. She forever can address to Jesus the very same words uttered by the Eternal Father: Thou art My Son, I have begotten Thee: consequently, Mary as Mother has rights over, and a love for, the Son of God. As a consequence the power of God is subjected and chained to the will of Mary. Just as in the house of Nazareth for about thirty years.

And why should there be a total and perfect submission of Jesus to the Virgin Mother? The love that Her divine child bore for Her compelled Him to the necessity of complying with whatever She wished. And although His actions as Redeemer were in no way dependent upon Her, yet He willed that also in this respect His will should be submitted to Her, as is shown in the first miracle of Cana. It is a consoling thought to know that the power of God lies in the hands of His Mother who happens to be your Mother also.

The Holy Fathers of the Church have said admirable things about this all-powerfulness of Mary. "O Virgin, all that God can do through His omnipotence you can also do through your prayer." St. Antoninus said that the prayer of the Mother of God is for all practical purposes a command. It cannot but be heard.

St. Peter Damian writes: "Oh Mary, when you approach the Golden Altar of pardon, it isn't to beseech but as a queen to command, since all the treasures of God's mercy lie in your hands." St. Bonaventure goes so far as to say: "No one enters Heaven except through Mary."

Great St. Bernard advises us: "Have recourse to Mary. I tell you without hesitation She is always heard on account of Her dignity. The Angel told her that She had found grace and in fact Mary always finds grace."

Finally, these words of St. Bernardine de Sienna are very well known: "The command of Mary is obeyed by the whole world woven by God Himself. Let Mary will anything, and it will be done."

God's submission and obedience to His creature is really sublime but not less sublime is Her dignity being placed in such heights that She can issue orders in Heaven.

The rights and love of a mother: these are the foundations of Her omnipotence. A mother has the right to issue orders to her son. The son has the duty to obey her. A mother tenderly loves her son. A good son cannot but love his mother and consequently be always ready to please her in everything.

Just apply this simple rule to Mary and Her divine child to see why Our Lady must be practically all-powerful.

A LATE NIGHT REFLECTION

'The Seed is Beginning to Germinate,' is Message 66 to Fr. Gobbi.

It's the last night of the year 1974. New Years Eve! Our Lady says to end and begin the new year with Her, close to Her Immaculate Heart, in prayer! What better place could we be? Where do you spend New Years Eve? Partying? Having too much to eat and drink? Hopefully no sexual sins.

Mary wants us to pray in thanksgiving and reparation! In thanksgiving for all that She has done this year for Her Movement, and grateful for the graces we have received by being members of the MMP, offering our prayers, sufferings, and total trust in Our Lady.

In Reparation and propitiation for all those who are forgetting their dignity as Christians and through their partying, often offending the Hearts of Jesus and Mary! Yes we need to pray, especially for Our Lady's priest-sons, that they come to their senses and detach themselves from the world and it's easy road to hell.

Of course we never judge anyone and so we pray for all priests that they be holy and sanctified, leading their people along the narrow road to Heaven. That's what today's Gospel at Mass was all about. Read what the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI has to say about it: ZENIT

Our Lady continues to tell Fr. Gobbi that the decisive events are about to begin: the great battle between Mary and Satan; and a great part of humanity will not even expect it! So many of Our Lady's children have been corrupted and led astray by the Evil One. They have lost their sense of sin and are full of Satan's pride. Is there any hope in all this? Yes!

Soon, the Blessed Mother says, the days when all that She predicted will take place; it is very near! Read the events of Fatima, Garabandal, Akita, Japan and you will know "word for word" what Our Lady has predicted for our time. Her last words today are, "The world must be renewed in blood, that it may be purified and made ready for the birth of a new world, illumined by the light and the love of my Son Jesus!"

MARY'S HEART - MERCY

4. Confidence and Love.
At this point you should be burning with great love towards Our Heavenly Mother. You should plunge with boundless confidence into Her motherly Heart. Consideration of this merciful Heart cannot possibly lead us to take advantage of Her bounty so as to feel safe in our sins. No, that would be monstrous!

But you must not through discouragement, mistrust and fear allow the devil to deceive you. No matter what your behavior was in the past, no matter how great your abuse of the graces that God granted to you, no matter how often you have fallen, and gone back on your word, nevertheless you should fall at the feet of Mary, for in front of Her no fear or mistrust can be justified. It was for this reason that God granted Her that Heart. Our Lord said that He did not want the death of the sinner and the Heart of Mary keeps on repeating these very same words to you.

Trust in the goodness of Your Mother. Love this bounteous Heart. Let nothing take from you this most sweet hope and trust in Her: O Clement, O Loving, O Sweet Virgin Mary!

A REFLECTION

'The Power of the Spirit' is Message #65 to Fr. Gobbi.

This Message was given on the Feast of St. Stephen, First Martyr and Deacon. Our Lady says that he was truly a little child, with a power of truthfulness; unshakable faith and strength of person! He was victorious over everyone by his powerful glance, his pure faith, and his love of God!

Mother Mary says that She knew he was to be the first martyr for Christ, and so She clasped him and encouraged him to be stronger and stronger. And when he was killed by stoning, the faithful followers brought his body to Our Lady and She once again clasped him to Her Heart, and the scene of Calvary was repeated . . .

Here Our Lady tells Fr. Gobbi that he too is called to be a crown of Her Immaculate and Sorrowful Heart. As a matter of fact, all of Her priest-sons will be this crown of love for Her. These little children of Mother Mary will be roses, lilies, and cyclamens surrounding Her Heart! And it will by the power of the Spirit that this will be done!

Yes, many of Our Lady's priests are called to this ultimate testimony, martyrdom, and their blood will wash and purify this world, so that a new world will be born, consecrated to the triumph of God!

The other day there was a discussion in Rome about the priest that was killed in Turkey a few weeks ago, and the nun murdered in Indonesia too. The question arose as to whether they were martyrs. The Cardinal who celebrated the memorial Mass for the deceased priest said that because they were killed by someone who hated Christ and Christianity, that was a cause for martyrdom! "But their blood will wash and purify the world", Our Lady said. It's been going on for 2000 years! May the Triumph come soon and end the bloodshed!

TODAY FROM MEDJUGORJE:

Our Lady's Message
of August 25, 2007

Our Lady’s words to the world are always significant. But, Our Lady’s messages in the passed months have the hint of what most who are praying feel in their hearts. Our Lady is readying us, giving us an impulse to convert or to further convert in the time of grace. For those who need it most, the time is now. Call upon God’s mercy before it’s too late. Out Lady’s message, in the next to last sentence, is stunning in its clarity, that the clock is running and to act now in calling upon God’s mercy before it’s too late.

“Dear children! Also today I call you to conversion. May your life, little children, be a reflection of God’s goodness and not of hatred and unfaithfulness. Pray, little children, that prayer may become life for you. In this way, in your life you will discover the peace and joy which God gives to those who have an open heart to His love. And you who are far from God’s mercy, convert so that God may not become deaf to your prayers and that it may not be too late for you. Therefore, in this time of grace, convert and put God in the first place in your life. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

For those who feel they need an impulse to help convert further in the time of grace, look for a very special announcement Tuesday, August 28 on mej.com. We pray in light of the above message for conversion for ourselves, for individual conversion, and for those who need it most. Be in union with us in this time of grace to help as many people as possible with conversion.

With Love,
A Friend of Medjugorje

MARY'S HEART- MERCY

3. The Heavenly Mother.
The marvelous point about this maternal mercy of the Virgin is that it did not, as is the case of earthly mothers, come to an end at death. She is now in Heaven and in spite of Her elevation to a throne so near to God Her Heart keeps always the same, though in Heaven there are no tears to wipe away nor miseries nor sufferings of any sort. Yet She has not forgot Her wretched children. If there has been any change in the Heart of Mary, it is that now from Heaven the Heart of Mary, Empress, is more compassionate, more clement, more merciful, and in a better position to help Her wretched children down below.

In Heaven Her mercy is most active. She works incessantly for souls. Sometimes by interceding for us, at other times by showering with full hands torrents of graces into our hearts. The most unfortunate, the most wretched, the greatest sinners are the chief objects of Her intercession. She witnesses from Heaven the wild attacks directed by the devil against souls and then She infuses courage and grants graces that ensure victory.

Particularly She will come to the rescue with Her merciful Heart in that final battle of our life and will lead to victory the souls of those that love Her. How many times have the angels of Heaven been the messengers of peace, of consolation and of hope, sent by Her to those who invoked Her in the battle!

Ask your guardian angel whence come so many inspirations, so many knocks at the door of your heart, so many helps, and he will tell you that it is his Mistress and Queen who commands him, who gives no rest, but rather urges him to toil more and more to protect your soul.

NIGHT REFLECTION

'Moments of Anxiety' is the title of Message 64, from the MMP Blue Book.

It's December 24, the Holy Night. Our Lady invites Fr. Gobbi to spend these hours of vigil with Her, telling him to forget everything else. What do we do on Christmas Eve? Usually we're getting some last minute presents wrapped, setting up the Christmas tree, or preparing for Midnight Mass. Do we stop everything and meditate on what happened that night? If we are praying the Rosary, we could think about that first Christmas Eve in Bethlehem and what Mary & Joseph experienced that night.

Our Lady gives Fr. Gobbi some thoughts on this night: There was anxiety and pain in Mother Mary's and St. Joseph's hearts at each refusal of shelter for Jesus, who was about to be born! Each refusal was a refusal to Him! Humanity had no place to receive the divine Child. Is today any different? How many places have barred the Nativity scenes from their towns and even in some communities of worship. They allow Santa's and elves and reindeer, but the Infant is excluded! Even the word Christmas is stricken from many Newspapers, books and store flyers. Some stores won't even put up anything mentioning Christmas and all is called Holiday stuff!

How Our Lady and St. Joseph suffered that night. Every door which closed on them opened a wound in Our Lady's Heart. This was the pain that Mother Mary experienced in the miraculous birth of Her divine Son Jesus. Being exempt from Original sin She did not have to bear the pain of child-birth as is normal for all women. Christ' birth was also miraculous because Our Lady kept Her virginity intact. She is Ever-Virgin Mary for all eternity!

Our Lady wants us to relive those hours of vigil so that we can learn from them to detach ourselves from everything; total poverty; of goods; of ideas; of affections; to possess nothing! It is this nothingness that will attract God to us and He will pour His gifts upon us. The gift Fr. Gobbi received because of his littleness and poverty is his priesthood.

Finally, Mother Mary says that She needs our poverty, our humility, and our docility, so that She can bring us to love Jesus with a total love, a degree of love that we will not be able to live without Him. He will be our very life, and live again in us! Do not be afraid if you are not understood or not accepted because of this; our refuge will be Mary's Immaculate Heart!
Roman Deacon

MARY'S HEART - MERCY

2. A Mother's Mercy.
The reason is that the mercy of Mary was the mercy of a mother, just as the Heart from which it sprung was a mother's Heart. This explains the abundance of mercy and bounty. A child might be a wretch, he might be plagued with physical or moral disease; he might be an outcast, an object of revulsion; he might inspire you with disgust and repugnance. But the more miseries and wretchedness She finds in it the more the heart of its mother will pant for it with renewed and greater love.

The heart of a mother never despairs, never grows tired, always hopes, always waits, tries to come to the rescue of her child. And it is not a mere blindness that drives her. It is that she has an inkling, an intuition of heart that sees beyond the eyes of others. For her there is no irreparable losses and miseries to be seen: the heart of a mother still finds indications and clues. She discovers sentiments that could raise and dignify the heart of her wretched child even now. A mother by the power of her tenderness, by the goodness of her heart, will still be able to re-enkindle long spent sentiments, to revive a heart long believed dead; to resuscitate a conscience long hardened by sin and passion. Ask St. Augustine. Let him tell you what is the power of a compassionate heart, of a pious, merciful heart of a mother.

And now go to the Heart of Our Lady who is more of a mother than any other mother, with a heart that is the sum total in bounty and mercy of all that God poured into all the hearts of all the mothers of the world.

On the other hand Her compassion is not just a barren feeling as often is that of many mothers who would, but cannot, come to the rescue of their child. Mary wields the omnipotence of God Himself, and She uses it generously to help Her children. Did She not do so at the wedding of Cana when compelling Jesus to anticipate His first miracle? Did She not do so with the apostles in those days of desolation and dismay? Forgetting Herself She was their only hope and strength and consolation; and the apostles, supported by the efficacious goodness of that Mother, gathered around Her.

And amongst all, was not Peter the one who most experienced the mercy of Her sweet Heart? It was doubtless She who ran to Peter when he, full of sorrow for his three-fold denial, left the house of the High Priest. It was at the feet of Mary that Peter shed his first tears for his sin. There he made the first confession of his cowardly apostasy. Great was his fortune on meeting the Heart of Our Heavenly Mother. He might perhaps become a Judas since he equally had motives for despair.

Yet at the feet of Mary, close to Her Heart, despair was impossible, discouragement was not possible either. Peter rose to his feet certain of having been pardoned and thus is was that he did not despair like Judas, nor did he flee like Adam after his sin but remained there waiting, expecting the resurrection of Jesus with a heart overflowing with confidence that had been instilled into him by Our Blessed Lady. A mother's mercy indeed.

EVENING REFLECTION

'Revealed to the Little Ones' is the title of Message 63.

Fr. Gobbi is venerating Our Lady's image in Como, Italy. She says that he has had a special love for this image since his childhood and it was a sign for him of her special favor. He just celebrated Holy Mass to console Our Lady's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart and for all the priests of the Marian Movement of Priests.

Mother Mary says that her priest-sons are responding from all over the world and gathering into Her cohort. This is Her work, She says, nothing will hurt it and there will be no interference. It is a sign for the Church today!

Our Lady says that the Church will be in great confusion, many will be upset with their faith because of certain events that will take place. But She will intervene. as Mother of the Church, but in a hidden way, with simplicity and humility; most people won't even be aware that Our Lady acted.

Those who are aware and recognize the action of Our Lady are the ones who have the eyes of a child; the mind of a child; the heart of a child, simple, innocent, recollected, poor and humble. To these little children will be revealed the plans and mysteries of the kingdom of God!

Mary wants to imprint Her image on our souls so that they will be brightened and our hearts will be transfigured! She will dwell in our hearts, and we will be the sign of Our Lady's presence and Her great victory and triumph of Her Immaculate Heart!
Roman Deacon

Meditation 91

MARY'S HEART - MERCY

1. Mercy.
The sweetest attribute of God is mercy. It is the attribute which draws our heart to Him most strongly and gives us courage and hope. If God was only an exacting judge, judging us only according to the standards of justice, who would not tremble in front of Him? But if He is above all a loving Father, with a heart full of compassion and mercy who would not trust Him?

One of the greatest proofs that this is so is precisely the most merciful Heart of Our Lady, for the merciful Heart of Mary exemplifies the bounty and love of God towards men.

We all need mercy so badly which is why we all wish the presence of this attribute in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary to be emphasized. A compassionate heart which weeps with those that weep, which suffers with those that suffer is for everyone irresistibly attractive.

And if, in addition to feeling the miseries of its neighbors as its own, it still strives and works, sparing no sacrifice and privation, in order to bring a remedy to them, then we have the climax of bounty and mercy. Thus did the Heart of Mary raise mercy to a truly divine degree.

Her Heart was adorned with all the characteristics of the most perfect and sublime mercy. Her Heart is also the most compassionate of hearts. Every misfortune or trial finds an echo in Her Heart. This was clearly shown at the wedding feast of Cana. The hearts of the newly wed were not yet disturbed while Her's was already suffering. She anticipated their difficulty in order to remedy it. Even before the couple was aware of what was happening, the Heart of Mary was already finding a solution which they themselves would have never dared ask.

Is this not a marvelous case of bounty? Does it not delightfully picture the compassion and mercy of Mary's Heart? How often has She not obtained from Jesus for us something which we badly needed and which we ourselves had not yet asked either because we did not know the danger, or perhaps because we were mean or indifferent.

TONIGHTS REFLECTION

Message 62 in the MMP Blue Book is titled, 'The Sign Which God Gives.'

Speaking to all Her priest-sons Our Lady says "Do not let your hearts be troubled." It seems that She knows that some are doubting and are looking for a sign. Remember the words of the Lord to those looking for signs: Jesus answering said to them: "An evil and adulterous generation seeketh a sign: and a sign shall not be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet." (Matt. 12:39)

Yes, signs are predicted in the Bible: Our Lady says She is the sign that is announced in the Book of Revelation: And a great sign appeared in heaven: A woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. (Rev 12:1) She will crush the head of the Red Dragon and over atheism which looks apparently like it has triumphed over God.

The victory will be obtained through the triumph of Her Immaculate Heart in the world and through the priests of Her Movement! This then is the only sign in the heavens, don't look for any other signs!!! Prepare yourselves in prayer, in suffering, and in a complete trust in Her, She says.

And finally Our Lady says that the great sign of Her victory is Her priest-sons who are consecrated to Her and whom She, as Mother of the Church, is gathering together for the decisive battle!
