33 Day Consecration - Day 27

Dear Family of Mary!

33 Day Prayer of Consecration to Our Lady of the Rosary - Day 27

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit!
Receive our Consecration Prayer, O dearest Mother Mary!

We will continue to listen to Our Lady's September 25, 2019 Message, since she is speaking right to us about our consecration to her Rosary!
"...Little children, pray the Rosary and meditate the mysteries of the Rosary because, in your life, you are also passing through joys and sorrows. In this way, you are transforming the mysteries into your life, because life is a mystery until you place it into God's hands..." (September 25, 2019)

"Meditate the mysteries of the Rosary!"
Fr. Shamon understands how to meditate the mysteries. He is so down to earth and practical. But he is right. Here is what he says:

One of the greatest objections to the Rosary is precisely because it is a thinking prayer. Some will say, "I don't like to think." Or "I can't concentrate on the mysteries. My mind wanders. That's why I quit saying the Rosary."
I think the trouble here is that too often we try to intellectualize the mysteries. We peer into them to extract lessons from them. Rather, we should just look at the mysteries of the Rosary in the Ignatian sense of contemplation. St. Ignatius said to just look at the scenes of Our Lord's life without trying to pull out all kinds of lessons and applications to your life. Just be there, like watching the TV series "You Were There!" The lessons and applications will come spontaneously.
Haven't you gone to a movie and had a friend ask how you liked it? As you gave your answer, you were unconsciously analyzing the picture. Without even being aware of it, you were drawing conclusions about the picture just by looking at the movie.
So in the Rosary. Just look at the scenes of Our Lord's life with Our Lady for the length of 10 Hail Marys. Like a movie, they will begin to say something to you without your having to do anything but look. While you are looking at the scenes, God is working in your heart. (Fr. Albert Shamon. "The Power of the Rosary". P. 13)
Fr. Shamon makes a good point. Our Lady doesn't want us to only intellectualize the mysteries. As she just told us in the September 25, 2019 message - we need to meditate on the mysteries so as to transform them into our lives. We do this by drawing comparisons and seeing the connections between the lives of Jesus and Mary, and our lives. We are all people! We can understand each other, and connect on the deepest of levels, our humanity! The Holy Spirit will help us by drawing our attention to the aspects that are important for us!

I think Our Lady wants us to learn something here about how to pray and let the Holy Spirit work in our prayer. More tomorrow!

Supplication to the Queen of the Holy Rosary:

"O Blessed Rosary of Mary, sweet chain which unites us to God, bond of love which unites us to the angels, tower of salvation against the assaults of Hell, safe port in our universal shipwreck, we will never abandon you. You will be our comfort in the hour of death: yours our final kiss as life ebbs away. And the last word from our lips will be your sweet name, O Queen of the Rosary of Pompei, O dearest Mother, O Refuge of Sinners, O Sovereign Consoler of the Afflicted. May you be everywhere blessed, today and always, on earth and in heaven". (Blessed Bartolo Longo)

We commit ourselves to praying the Rosary for your intentions, dearest Mary, our Mother, as You enter this final battle with Satan, for the sake of souls. We will take up the Rosary as an obligation that we will fulfill with great joy! Together we will pray for Your Triumph over Satan, and for the coming of a New Time of Peace which has been given to us through You, Oh Clement, O Loving, O Sweet Virgin Mary!! Amen

Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit! As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen

Now we pray our Rosary for today! Joyful Mysteries!!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Dear Family of Mary!

33 Day Prayer of Consecration to Our Lady of the Rosary - Day 26

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit!
Receive our Consecration Prayer, O dearest Mother Mary!

For our last few days of this Consecration let's use Our Lady's messages, especially September 25, 2019) as our instruction on the power and purpose of the Rosary.

"Dear children! Today I am calling you to pray for my intentions so that I may help you..." (September 25, 2019)

Our Lady has asked us to pray for her intentions several times. Here are some of those messages:

September 25, 1991 "Dear children! Today in a special way I invite you all to prayer and renunciation. For now as never before satan wants to show the world his shameful face by which he wants to seduce as many people as possible onto the way of death and sin. Therefore, dear children, help my Immaculate Heart to triumph in the sinful world. I beseech all of you to offer prayers and sacrifices for my intentions so I can present them to God for what is most necessary. Forget your desires, dear children, and pray for what God desires, and not for what you desire. Thank you for having responded to my call."

October 25, 2008 "Dear children! In a special way I call you all to pray for my intentions so that, through your prayers, you may stop satan's plan over this world, which is further from God every day, and which puts itself in the place of God and is destroying everything that is beautiful and good in the souls of each of you. Therefore, little children, arm yourselves with prayer and fasting so that you may be conscious of how much God loves you and may carry out God's will. Thank you for having responded to my call."

October 25, 2012 "Dear children! Today I call you to pray for my intentions. Renew fasting and prayer because Satan is cunning and attracts many hearts to sin and perdition. I call you, little children, to holiness and to live in grace. Adore my Son so that He may fill you with His peace and love for which you yearn. Thank you for having responded to my call."

August 25, 2014 "Dear children! Pray for my intentions, because Satan wants to destroy my plan which I have here and to steal your peace. Therefore, little children, pray, pray, pray that God can act through each of you. May your hearts be open to God's will. I love you and bless you with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call."

November 25, 2015 "Dear children! Today I am calling all of you: pray for my intentions. Peace is in danger, therefore, little children, pray and be carriers of peace and hope in this restless world where Satan is attacking and tempting in every way. Little children, be firm in prayer and courageous in faith. I am with you and intercede before my Son Jesus for all of you. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Our Lady needs our prayer support. Her intentions, though hidden from us, are central to the plan God has given her to crush the head of Satan. (Notice how every time Our Lady mentions her intentions, she mentions Satan as well. Her intentions involve his demise.) She needs our prayer support! And it seems that as we do pray for her intentions, we are in fact praying for ourselves. We are praying for holiness, peace, hope, courage, faith, love, beauty, goodness, freedom from sin, and wholesomeness. We are praying to become God's holy children so that we can build His Kingdom. Somehow, our holiness is vital to the plan God has given Our Lady. Our holiness defeats the enemy.

The Rosary helps us with this plan in so many ways. Praying the Rosary builds the Kingdom within us, making us part of the solution, not part of the problem.  Let us pray to become part of that plan, that solution, which is the renewal of hearts!

Glorious Mysteries!!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Dear Family of Mary!

33 Day Prayer of Consecration to Our Lady of the Rosary - Day 25

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit!
Receive our Consecration Prayer, O dearest Mother Mary!

Today we continue with Fr. Shaman's discussion of why the Rosary promotes good thinking:

The Rosary is good thinking. It drives home four great truths of religion. (today reason #4)

4. All 15 Mysteries of the Rosary teach the fourth great truth of religion; namely, sanctity is for all and it is within the reach of all of us. [At the time this book was published St. John Paul II had not introduced the Luminous Mysteries]
All 15 mysteries teach that great sanctity can be achieved by ordinary people doing ordinary things, every day, out of love for God, just as Mary and Joseph did.
In the eyes of the world, Joseph and Mary were just ordinary people. When Jesus awed his fellow townsmen by his eloquence, they asked, "Isn't this the son of Joseph?" - an ordinary carpenter! (Lk. 4:22) When Jesus claimed to be bread from Heaven, they again protested on the grounds that He came from Ordinary fold. "Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph? Do we not know his father and mother/" (Jn 6:42) - just ordinary people! God doesn't ask us to be anything other than ordinary people - but good people whose one focus is Christ.
The Rosary gets us thinking about such truths - and thinking leads to action. Our Lady knows that you cannot be thinking day in and day out on the mysteries of Our Lord's life and not be changed, for the thoughts that enfold you are the thoughts the mold you. Our Lady knows that. Hence her ardent requests for our saying the Rosary.
Our Lady does not ask for Revolution (which is only a change of structures); for changing structures changes nothing. Overthrowing the monarchy of France did not better the nation. Overthrowing the Romanov dynasty and the Kerensky government for Communism did not help Russia. Toppling the regime of Batista for Castro did not save Cuba. That Our Lady seeks - and the Church and the Gospel- is Renewal, which is a change of hearts. That is why she asks for the Rosary, for the Rosary renews hearts, changes people; and when people change, society will change.
(Rev. Albert J. M. Shamon. The Power of the Rosary. 1990 p. 11- 12)

Well, we can see that Our Lady is indeed using the Rosary in Medjugorje to do exactly this: to bring about a renewal of hearts, one person at a time, until there is a change in the world. Her message given on September 25, confirms what Fr. Shamon has said about the power of the mysteries of the Rosary:

"Dear children! Today I am calling you to pray for my intentions so that I may help you.
Little children, pray the Rosary and meditate the mysteries of the Rosary because, in your life, you are also passing through joys and sorrows. In this way, you are transforming the mysteries into your life, because life is a mystery until you place it into God's hands.
In this way, you will have the experience of faith like Peter who met Jesus and the Holy Spirit filled his heart. Little children, you are also called to witness by living the love with which, day by day, God wraps you with my presence.
Therefore, little children, be open and pray with the heart in faith. Thank you for having responded to my call." (September 25, 2019)

Wow! I can't believe she said these beautiful things to us about the Rosary, during our 33 Day Consecration to her as Our Lady of the Rosary! Doesn't it give you goose bumps!!! She is truly with us, praying with us, thinking with us, and teaching us so clearly! Thank you, dearest Mother, for being our Mother!!

Dear Family of Mary!

33 Day Prayer of Consecration to Our Lady of the Rosary - Day 24

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit!
Receive our Consecration Prayer, O dearest Mother Mary!

Today we continue with Fr. Shaman's discussion of why the Rosary promotes good thinking:

The Rosary is good thinking. It drives home four great truths of religion. (today reason #3)

3. The Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary teach the third great truth of religion; namely, life has a purpose, a goal beyond this life.
For the Christian, life is not cyclic: we are not going around in circles, like pagans. That is why the hallmark of the pagan is ennui, boredom, suicide. Purposeless activity can be maddening. If you had to throw a bowling ball down an alley with no pins, for just one evening, it would bore you to death. Put pins up, put purpose into the throwing and it becomes an enjoyable game.
For the Christian, life is linear; we are going somewhere - to Heaven or to Hell. The Glorious Mysteries emphasize that our destiny is Heaven; a glorious life beyond this life.
(Rev. Albert J. M. Shamon. The Power of the Rosary. 1990 p. 4, 10)

Yes, the Glorious Mysteries give us a look into the future. They assure us that we are meant to live forever with God in Heaven. We are meant, and so we have meaning! This is very good news and helps us to think rightly! God wants us to keep Heaven in our view finder all the time!

As Our Lady has said:

May 25, 2017  "Dear children! The Most High has permitted me to call you anew to conversion. Little children, open your hearts to the grace to which you are all called. Be witnesses of peace and love in this peaceless world. Your life here on earth is passing. Pray that through prayer you may yearn for Heaven and the things of Heaven and your hearts will see everything differently. You are not alone; I am with you and intercede before my Son Jesus for you. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Dearest Mother, thank you for the gift of the Rosary! Thank you turning our eyes towards our eternal future, a life with God in Heaven. Don't let us ever forget this glorious future or endanger it in any way through sin. Mother, be our advocate and guide as we journey towards eternity, a life with God forever!

Dear Family of Mary!

33 Day Prayer of Consecration to Our Lady of the Rosary - Day 23

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit!
Receive our Consecration Prayer, O dearest Mother Mary!

Today we continue with Fr. Shaman's discussion of why the Rosary promotes good thinking:

The Rosary is good thinking. It drives home four great truths of religion. (today reason #2)
2. The Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary teach the second great truth of religion; namely, sin is what makes this life a vale of tears.
The Sorrowful Mysteries tell us that sin - not doing God's will but doing our will - is the path to sorrow. How few think it is! Youth, for instance, often think alcohol, drugs, and sex are the road to happiness. Going our way and not His way is the way to pain and unhappiness.
(Rev. Albert J. M. Shamon. The Power of the Rosary. 1990 p. 4, 10)

Isn't it true! Think of Adam and Eve in the Garden. They were seduced by the Devil into thinking that God's will for them (not eating of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil) was really God's way of hiding something wonderful from them. The serpent beguiled them into mistrusting God, thinking that God did not have their best interest in mind. And so, they fell. And we are all fallen. Now we must change our way of thinking, by choosing to believe that God's plan for our lives is the very best plan of all!! Renewed trust in the Father is demonstrated especially through Jesus' suffering and death on the Cross. Jesus always trusted the Father and so should we!

As Our Lady has said:
May 25, 2018 "Dear children! In this peaceless time, I am calling you to have more trust in God who is your Father in Heaven and who has sent me to lead you to Him. You, open your hearts to the gifts which He desires to give you and, in the silence of your heart, adore my Son Jesus who has given His life so that you may live in eternity - where He desires to lead you. May your hope be the joy of a meeting with the Most High in everyday life. Therefore, I am calling you: do not neglect prayer because prayer works miracles. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Dearest Mother, thank you for the gift of the Rosary! Thank you for finding such a perfect way to help us become good thinkers, those who ponder and learn the truth through the mysteries of Jesus' life. We have a good teacher in you, dearest Mary!

33 Day Consecration - Day 22

Dear Family of Mary!

33 Day Prayer of Consecration to Our Lady of the Rosary - Day 22

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit!
Receive our Consecration Prayer, O dearest Mother Mary!

A great champion for Our Lady, Fr. Albert Shamon, wrote many pamphlets and books on Our Lady. He loved Medjugorje and believed in Our Lady's presence there. He was a priest of the Rochester Diocese under Archbishop Fulton Sheen. Fr. Shamon wrote a short work called "The Power of the Rosary" which I find very helpful. I want to share some excerpts from this little book with you all as we continue our 33 Day Consecration.

In Chapter One, Fr. Shamon puts the Rosary in the context of the history of nations over the past 400 years. He asks the question, "Why is the Holy Rosary so efficacious?" Our Lady has recommended it in every apparition over that same time period. He says, "One reason is that the Rosary is a thinking prayer." He says that over these centuries bad thinking was introduced by so many philosophers, i.e. Voltaire, Rousseau, Diderot, the Encyclopedists, the Deists, Marx, Nietzsche, Stalin, and on and on. Bad thinking! Thinking that was based on atheism and the exaltation of Humanity.

But Fr. Shamon tells us:

Why this emphasis on the Rosary? Our Mother, the virgin most prudent, well knows that as we think, so we act. Creeds go before deeds. And she also knows that there is nothing so able to straighten out our thinking and counteract the errors of modern society as daily meditation on the mysteries of the Rosary!!
The Rosary is good thinking. It drives home four great truths of religion.
1. The Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary teach the first great truth of religion; namely, life and religion are meant to be joyful. So many don't think that. Very often, they think the very opposite. George Eliot described some of the clergymen of her day as 'pale faced mementos of solemnities." Glumdums!
The Joyful Mysteries teach the very opposite. They remind us that life is to be joyful; that religion, too, is to be joyful; that God has made us for happiness. That was why He put our first parents in a world that was a paradise. Did not Paul urge his beloved Philippians, "Rejoice in the Lord always. I shall say it again: rejoice!"
But better still, the Joyful Mysteries tell us how we can obtain that joy; namely, by doing God's will as Mary and Joseph did, as Elizabeth and Zechariah did, as Anna and Simeon, the shepherds and the wise men did. (Rev. Albert J. M. Shamon. The Power of the Rosary. 1990 p. 4, 10)

I never thought of the Rosary as a "thinking prayer", but Fr. Shamon is right! Through the contemplation of the mysteries in each decade we are presented with the truth about humanity, the truth about God and the call we have been given. We become those who see through the fog of lies present in our day and can steer our way joyfully towards the Light! (We will talk about 2,3 and 4 the next 3 days)

As Our Lady has said:
December 25, 1996 "Dear children! Today I am with you in a special way, holding little Jesus in my lap and I invite you, little children, to open yourselves to His call. He calls you to joy. Little children, joyfully live the messages of the Gospel, which I am repeating in the time since I am with you. Little children, I am your Mother and I desire to reveal to you the God of love and the God of peace. I do not desire for your life to be in sadness but that it be realized in joy for eternity, according to the Gospel. Only in this way will your life have meaning.

Glorious mysteries!!

Dear Family of Mary!

33 Day Prayer of Consecration to Our Lady of the Rosary - Day 21

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit!
Receive our Consecration Prayer, O dearest Mother Mary!

Today we continue examining a conversation that Sr. Lucia of Fatima had with Fr. Fuentes in 1957, Part 5:

"...Finally, devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Our Mother, consists in considering Her as the seat of mercy, of goodness and of pardon and as the sure door through which we are to enter Heaven."

Yesterday, at English Mass, Bishop Vincent Horan shared with us what Mary, Our Mother, is doing in Medjugorje to meet the challenges to the faith in our world today. He is spot-on, and very clear: Our Lady is maintaining a spiritual Field Hospital for her wounded children who have suffered in this terrible "war zone" of our modern world. She truly is the seat of mercy, of goodness and of pardon, and a sure door through which we are to enter Heaven!!

Homily at English Mass in Medjugorje - given by Bishop Vincent Horan:

Within a short time of assuming the Papacy, Pope Francis gave us an image of the Church as that of a field hospital in a war zone. Those in the front lines would be brought to the hospital with various injuries, or just for a time of recuperation. When better, they would return to the battle lines to take up their mission again.

In many ways, Medjugorje fits into this image of Pope Francis. We have all come here with our various ailments: physical, psychological, and spiritual. Some have come to rest with the Lord, as they feel that they are in a war zone with our modern world. Whether as priests, religious, or lay people, we often find that we seem to be losing the battle to keep the presence of Christ alive in our various societies, in the laws and customs of our countries. Like the Jewish people in exile in Babylon, we almost seem to be exiles in our world, to be cut off from the joys of our Christian faith, as we experience it here in Medjugorje during these days of pilgrimage.

But as we have seen in our first reading today, God did not leave His people in exile forever. The Lord roused the spirit of Cyrus to begin the work of reconstruction of the temple in Jerusalem, so that the chosen people could return to their beloved homeland, purified and humbled by their punishment for their sins and unfaithfulness.

With the benefit of hindsight, we can see that the 38 years since the apparitions of Our Lady began here in Medjugorje on the 24th of June 1981, more or less coincides with the most ferocious attack on the Church since the day of Pentecost. With the shocking revelations of sexual abuse by bishops, priests, religious and other Christians, the Church almost collapsed completely. For our punishment, we have been sent into exile to the margins of our societies.

But God has not abandoned us. As Mary was with the Apostles in the Upper Room, in the background, praying and supporting the ones chosen by her Son, so now Mary is among us now, especially here in Medjugorje, helping us to rebuild the temple of the Church on new foundations: on the foundation of humility, on the foundation of a personal commitment to Christ, Her Son.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, do you have a personal relationship with Jesus and with His Mother? Have you established a personal relationship, perhaps with one of His saints? Like Padre Pio, for example, whom we are celebrating today. We can bring the peace of Medjugorje back to our homes, parishes and societies, only if we have a deeply personal and intimate relationship with Jesus.

Our faith is a love story. The more we give ourselves to Jesus in our various vocations, the more He gives Himself to us. With the love of Jesus in our hearts, with the peace of Our Lady, Queen of Peace in our hearts, we shall be a light to others; even when we are not intentionally wishing to be a light. That light, however, may both inspire others, or it may challenge others; as nothing can remain hidden before God's light forever.

To return to the image of Medjugorje as a field hospital, I think we who come here on pilgrimage for a week or so, must take responsibility for the maintenance and work of this spiritual hospital. Obviously, Satan is not pleased with what is taking place here between the two hills. I ask that each one of us, as we return to our homes at the end of our pilgrimage, that each day we would pray for Medjugorje, for the Franciscan friars, for the sisters, for the visionaries, for the guides and helpers at the Shrine, and for all six-and-a-half thousand people who live now here in Medjugorje, that God would preserve their energies, that God through the intercession of Our Lady, would keep them zealous, and never allow them to become lukewarm, so that the treasure of Medjugorje may grow from strength to strength and become the New Jerusalem of our Christian faith, for the glory and praise of the most Holy Trinity.
(from English Mass in Medjugorje, September 23, 2019 - https://marytv.tv/english-mass-in-medjugorje/  )

Our Lady has called us to come close to her Immaculate Heart because there she can minister to us and lead us:
August 25, 2012 "Dear children! Also today, with hope in the heart, I am praying for you and am thanking the Most High for every one of you who lives my messages with the heart. Give thanks to God's love that I can love and lead each of you through my Immaculate Heart also toward conversion. Open your hearts and decide for holiness, and hope will give birth to joy in your hearts. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Dearest Mother, thank you for your Immaculate Heart which is for us the Seat of Mercy, Goodness and Pardon. Through you we can find our way to God. We can be healed of all our wounds and become ready for Heaven. May the Field Hospital of Medjugorje grow stronger and stronger, as there are so many wounded children in this world.

The sorrowful mysteries!!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

33 Day Consecration - Day 20

Dear Family of Mary!

33 Day Prayer of Consecration to Our Lady of the Rosary - Day 20

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit!
Receive our Consecration Prayer, O dearest Mother Mary!

Today we continue examining a conversation that Sr. Lucia of Fatima had with Fr. Fuentes in 1957:  A conversation between Sr. Lucia of Fatima and Fr. Fuentes (1957) Part 4:

"The two means to save the world are prayer and sacrifice. Look, Father, the Most Holy Virgin, in these last times in which we live, has given a new efficacy to the recitation of the Holy Rosary. She has given this efficacy to such an extent that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or above all, spiritual, in the private life of each one of us, of our families, of the families of the world, of the religious communities or even of the life of peoples and nations, that cannot be resolved through the prayer of the Rosary. There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve through the recitation of the Holy Rosary. Through the Holy Rosary we will save ourselves. We will sanctify ourselves. We will console Our Lord and obtain the salvation of many souls."

Sr. Lucia was completely convinced that there was no problem, no matter how difficult or challenging that could not be resolved through the prayer of the Rosary. She was very clear about this. Her words challenge me to think differently about the Rosary. I do love the Rosary and I pray it in response to Our Lady's call. But now I am beginning to realize that over the years it was the prayer of the Rosary that brought healing and change into our family. Yet I never made the connection. I now realize it has been our constant daily prayer of the Rosary that has slowly but surely released healing and grace in our family. Our daily prayer of the Rosary has created an atmosphere of grace for us! This atmosphere envelops us in wellbeing. Without realizing it many problems have been solved and our days now move in peace. I am sure many of you have seen the same thing happening to your families.

Rather than being a one-time prayer that makes miracles, the Rosary is a lifetime prayer that makes Heaven on Earth! Our prayer of the Rosary, as Our Lady's children, will do the same for our Church and for the world. The atmosphere of grace will grow and reach more and more people. This could be what Our Lady was getting at in this message from 1986:

June 12, 1986 "Dear children! Today I call you to begin to pray the Rosary with a living faith. That way I will be able to help you. You, dear children, wish to obtain graces, but you are not praying. I am not able to help you because you do not want to get started. Dear children, I am calling you to pray the Rosary and that your Rosary be an obligation which you shall fulfill with joy. That way you shall understand the reason I am with you this long. I desire to teach you to pray. Thank you for having responded to my call."

As we continue to pray the Rosary together, we will begin to understand the reason Our Lady has been with us so long! She has been building the Kingdom of Heaven in our midst.

Dearest Mother, thank you for giving us the Rosary as the solution to every difficulty in our lives. Thank you for increasing its power, as we pray it daily together. Many of us pray multiple Rosaries every day, and the grace is increasing. The Rosary has become an obligation that we fulfill with joy! Help us to see all the difficulties and problems that are being solved through this prayer of the Rosary. Help us to understand and grow in courage and commitment to our prayer!

Dear Family of Mary!

33 Day Prayer of Consecration to Our Lady of the Rosary - Day 19

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit!
Receive our Consecration Prayer, O dearest Mother Mary!

Today we continue examining a conversation that Sr. Lucia of Fatima had with Fr. Fuentes in 1957.
A conversation between Sr. Lucia of Fatima and Fr. Fuentes (1957) Part 3:

"Father, the Most Holy Virgin did not tell me that we are in the last times of the world, but She made me understand this for three reasons. ...The third reason is because in the plans of Divine Providence God always, before He is about to punish the world, exhausts all other remedies."
Our Lady told Lucia that there is always hope, because the Father looks for every possible way to help us change, before He chastises. Our Lady has spoken to us very sparingly about God's punishment. She prefers to be positive with us. But in this message from 1983 she was serious:

"The sign will come; you must not worry about it. The only thing that I would want to tell you is to be converted. Make that known to all my children as quickly as possible. No pain, no suffering is too great to me in order to save you. I will pray to my Son not to punish the world; but I beseech you, be converted. You cannot imagine what is going to happen nor what the Eternal Father will send to earth. That is why you must be converted! Renounce everything. Do penance. Express my acknowledgement to all my children who have prayed and fasted. I carry all this to my Divine Son in order to obtain an alleviation of His justice against the sins of mankind. I thank the people who have prayed and fasted. Persevere and help me to convert the world." (June 24, 1983)

This message was given 36 years ago. God has been patient with us, giving us Our Lady in Medjugorje and giving us many years to respond to her call. Even this year, she said to us:
"Dear children! Pray, work and witness with love for the Kingdom of Heaven that it may be good for you here on earth. Little children, God will bless your effort a hundred-fold; you will be witnesses among peoples, souls of unbelievers will feel the grace of conversion and Heaven will be grateful for your efforts and sacrifices. Little children, witness with the Rosary in hand that you are mine and decide for holiness. Thank you for having responded to my call." (August 25, 2019)

This message is so very positive. She does want us to work very hard for the Kingdom of Heaven "so that it will be good for [us] on earth." But she tells us that The Father will bless every effort we make to spread the Kingdom "one hundred-fold!" We have much to hope for, much to work for!! Perhaps there is time to change! Truly the Father is exhausting every remedy in order to help us repent and choose Him. He has sent Our Lady to be with us constantly in Medjugorje. This is an extreme grace!

Dearest Mother, thank you for coming as an extreme remedy for our sinful world. Thank you for coming to Medjugorje! And thank you for the Rosary. Thank you for giving us this marvelous tool in our work for the conversion of souls and the salvation of the world. May we pray, non-stop, so that your plans will come to completion and the world will be changed!

33 Day Consecration - Day 18

Dear Family of Mary!

33 Day Prayer of Consecration to Our Lady of the Rosary - Day 18

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit!
Receive our Consecration Prayer, O dearest Mother Mary!

Today we continue examining a conversation that Sr. Lucia of Fatima had with Fr. Fuentes in 1957. We will let these profound and prophetic words of Sr. Lucia sink in, so I will present it paragraph by paragraph.

A conversation between Sr. Lucia of Fatima and Fr. Fuentes (1957) Part 2:
"The second reason is because She said to my cousins as well as to myself that God is giving two last remedies to the world. These are the Holy Rosary and devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. These are the last two remedies, which signify that there will not be others."

Last remedies...This is ominous. When the doctor says, "Well this is the last possible treatment that can save you" we take it quite seriously. The possibilities have now run out. It is a matter of life or death. Well, Our Lady has come to us in Medjugorje to apply these two last remedies. And she is staying with us to make sure we follow the directions and take full advantage of these remedies. She will not quit until we are all cured.

She said to us:

August 25, 1997 "Dear children! God gives me this time as a gift to you, so that I may instruct and lead you on the path of salvation. Dear children, now you do not comprehend this grace, but soon a time will come when you will lament for these messages. That is why, little children, live all of the words which I have given you through this time of grace and renew prayer, until prayer becomes a joy for you. Especially, I call all those who have consecrated themselves to my Immaculate Heart to become an example to others. I call all priests and religious brothers and sisters to pray the rosary and to teach others to pray. The rosary, little children, is especially dear to me. Through the rosary open your heart to me and I am able to help you. Thank you for having responded to my call."

October 25, 1988 "Dear children! My invitation that you live the messages which I am giving you is a daily one, specially, little children, because I want to draw you closer to the Heart of Jesus. Therefore, little children, I am inviting you today to the prayer of consecration to Jesus, my dear Son, so that each of you may be His. And then I am inviting you to the consecration of my Immaculate Heart. I want you to consecrate yourselves as parents, as families and as parishioners so that all belong to God through my heart. Therefore, little children, pray that you comprehend the greatness of this message which I am giving you. I do not want anything for myself, rather all for the salvation of your soul. Satan is strong and therefore, you, little children, by constant prayer, press tightly against my motherly heart. Thank you for having responded to my call.

God has indeed given us this time so that Our Lady can administer the remedies we so badly need. We need her Immaculate Heart from which so many graces and blessings flow, within which we can hide and find safety. We also need the Rosary, which is the prayer that defends us from Satan, and in fact defeats him. The battle today is at an apex. The heart of the Church has been wounded. Only Our Lady's Heart and her Rosary can win the day. This is our great calling!

Dearest Mother, thank you for the Rosary. Thank you for your Immaculate Heart, so full of love and purity and strength. You are administering the last two remedies to us through your presence in Medjugorje. We say 'yes' to you completely. Thank you, dearest Mother, for your presence and your love.

We will take up the Rosary as an obligation that we will fulfill with great joy! 33 Day Consecration - Day 17

Dear Family of Mary!

33 Day Prayer of Consecration to Our Lady of the Rosary - Day 17

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit!

Receive our Consecration Prayer, O dearest Mother Mary!

Today we are at the exact midpoint of our 33 Day Consecration. We have done 16 days. We are on Day 17. And tomorrow we will begin another 16 days! So, to mark the halfway point, God gave us a beautiful homily given at the International Mass last night, by Bishop Giampaolo Crepaldi from Trieste, Italy! Bishop Crepaldi celebrated the International Mass and shared beautifully about the great mercy of God and the presence of Our Lady, and how we can dedicate our lives to her call. It is the perfect midpoint reflection and really it is a prayer!!
Evening International Mass

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Gathered around the altar on which the offering of the Lord Jesus to the Father is renewed through the powerful action of the Holy Spirit, we want to express our devoted gratitude to the Triune Love which here in Medjugorje manifests itself in a particular way with the features of His forgiveness and His Mercy.

We, too, like the simple woman in the passage of the Gospel that we have just heard (Lk 7:36-50), have come here to prostrate ourselves at the feet of Jesus.

Like her, we are also called to nurture a great love, because it is the love that gives us an experience of free forgiveness.

Like her, we, too, after a good confession, savor the joy of forgiveness and the joy of a life renewed and reborn in Christ.

Like her, we also must be firmly convinced that the debt we have accumulated with our sinful behavior is completely forgiven. Because, like her, we also know that many sins are forgiven to us when we show great love.

Like her, we, too, are at table with Him, becoming His family, saved by the grace of His forgiveness.

Like her, we, too, at the moment of the Holy Communion, will touch that body tormented on the cross and glorified by the resurrection, aware that the Divine Mercy is a gift of grace for all.

Like her, we also must feel saved and completely redeemed from our evil which has often and for a long time afflicted our soul, feeling the profound peace that Jesus proclaims Himself to us, saying, "Your sins are forgiven, and your faith has saved you. Go in peace."

This is one of the formulas with which the confessor concludes the Rite of Confession repeating to each penitent the same wish for salvation and peace. Let us cherish this treasure, and we will not be lacking in His Mercy.

Dear brothers and sisters, an urgent call that comes to us in Medjugorje is the call to conversion which is concretized in the call to direct our lives to Christ.

It is the Blessed Virgin Mary, the mother who accompanies us on our journey to come to Jesus Christ.

It is the Mother who, by connecting our heart to her heart, enables us to merge ourselves in Christ, in His thoughts and intentions, in His will.

In this perspective, we want to open ourselves for the consecration to the Queen of Peace, aware that Mary wants our salvation and the salvation of our brothers.

This is a path of holiness that we must go through with the rosary in hand, in contemplating the mysteries, which are otherwise undecipherable. Christians find the light of life and the history of mankind which, this evening, we entrust to the motherly love of the Queen of Peace.

To this Queen, we entrust our spouses and families, so that the tenderness of true love, the serenity of a dignified labor, and a generosity and the gift of life may not fail.

To this Queen, we entrust our young people so that the will to adhere to Christ, the only one who can help them in deliberating and planning of their future, will not be extinguished.

To this Queen, we entrust our priests, the consecrated ones, and the seminarians, so that they may always be ready and faithful in responding to their vocation.

To this Queen, we entrust those who are sick, lonely and marginalized, humiliated and desperate; those who are undermined, but the thought of life is an unbearable burden.

To this Queen, we entrust our cities, our countries, and those who administer them, so that they may never lack the courage to strive for the common good.

To this Queen, we entrust our diocesan churches so that the Lord Jesus may be the source of their actions, their service, their teaching, and their mission.

To this Queen, we entrust our lives, seeking the grace to be protected and to receive the immeasurable good of faith, hope and charity of Christ the Lord.

Amen and Amen!!!
Supplication to the Queen of the Holy Rosary:
