Seek Jesus in the silence of your heart...

Dear Family of Mary!
In Holy Mass today, we hear of the birth of St. John the Baptist. Miracles surround his birth! His mother was past the age of childbearing. His father, Zechariah, was struck dumb because he questioned the Angel's message to him about John's conception. This caused quite a stir in the village. Mary came to visit Elizabeth, and the two mothers rejoiced at what God was doing for them. And then after Elizabeth gave birth to John, Zechariah regained his ability to speak when he confirmed John's name, and everyone was amazed! Truly, God was moving in their midst!
Like Zechariah, we too must learn to recognize and accept God's work in our lives. We must be prayerful, attentive, and ready to respond to God's call to us! It is very important that we observe God's call and respond.
Today's Christmas message is December 25, 2023! In this message, Our Lady teaches us how to receive Jesus, His words to us, and respond in faith. Without our response, God cannot reach His people:
December 25, 2023
"Dear children!
I am carrying my Son Jesus to you
to fill your hearts with peace,
because He is peace.
Little children,
seek Jesus in the silence of your heart
that He be born anew.
The world needs Jesus,
therefore seek Him through prayer,
because He gives Himself daily to each of you."
We need to be as silent as Zechariah was in order to hear and respond to the Lord. We need to learn to seek Jesus in the silence of our hearts. Jesus longs to be born in our hearts because the world needs him as much today as it did in Zechariah's day. We need to receive Jesus and say "yes" to His call!
